When I walked in the studio over a year and a half ago, it was with the intention of sitting and waiting to drive my father home from his dance lesson. Luci (one of the studio owners) insisted on giving me a lesson while I waited. Now my father and I dance a father-daughter dance in almost every competition together. The staff are out of this world amazing and help me relax and have fun after the stress from work. Being at the studio with these wonderful people (staff and students alike) is hands down the best part of my day.

I love Arthur Murray Ridgewood! It's more than just dance lessons for me! The energy is so great, everyone is so friendly and they make you feel comfortable right from the start. I thought learning to dance was going to be scary or intimidating, but it has been such an encouraging experience and I am feeling so much progress in just a few months! Would definitely recommend this studio to absolute beginners and advanced dancers alike!

I've been going to Arthur Murray Ridgewood for about 6 months now with the intention to perform competitively. Best. Decision. Ever. Even before I arrived for my first lesson, my experience was positive. Anastasia eased any concerns or worries I had about starting to dance and reassured me that all my goals were possible (and she was right!). When I arrived for my lesson I was nervous and intimated. I was greeted by not only Anastasia but the owners of the studio, Sarah and Luci, who are warm, welcoming and very excited to get to know my dance goals and make them happen! In the past 6 months I have had the opportunity to work with all the instructors at the studio and they are all incredibly knowledgeable and eager to teach. I've worked mostly with Andrea and Nikko who are absolutely the greatest. The studio offers group classes which are helpful when trying to learn new steps and allows you to work with other students of the same level. Then there are the Practice Parties, which are just plain fun and a great way to practice in a social setting. For anyone who is considering ballroom dancing, AM is the place to do it. Hands down, the best.

My dad and I went to Arthur Murray to learn a father-daughter dance for my wedding. The instructors are so wonderful (especially Frank) and patient. We had so much fun going every week. All the lessons paid off because we brought all the guests to tears!

This is a very nice studio and great people! I came here to learn to dance for my wedding and I can't tell you how happy and impressed I am with the service and professionalism of all the teachers! I tried a few places in the area and nothing is even close to the service you get here! I think me and my fiancé are going to continue dancing after our wedding, we just like it so much here!

I've been wanting to take lessons for a long time and finally had the courage to enroll because I was part of a fund raiser event and needed to learn to dance in a relatively short period of time. Well, I cannot express what a great experience it was! The event turned-out to be a total success and our group danced like champions! But just as memorable was the pleasure of working with the Arthur Murray staff. You guys are truly professionals and were great from the first minute. Particularly Irene, who has endless talent, devotion and patience! So if you are thinking about it as I did, please stop thinking and get yourself in to the studio in Ridgewood. You will not regret it!!!

We visited Arthur Murray when my wife and I were looking for dance lessons. The staff was friendly and helpful from when we stepped in to our last class. Our dance instructor helped us every step of the way and was there for us no matter what. She would always ask if we were comfortable and would work closely with us to make sure that everything was perfect. Everyone was polite, friendly, and never gave us any issues or hard times. We definitely recommend this studio for anyone who wants to learn how to dance.

My husband and I signed up for some dance lessons for our wedding. This was our best money spent throughout the wedding planning process! Frank was our instructor and he was fabulous! He made us feel very comfortable on the dance floor. Frank gave us a great choreographed first dance and even gave us some fun pointers on how to do our entrance. Each session went by so fast because we were having so much fun. This is a great studio! All the instructors were helpful and friendly, but a big thank you goes out to Frank who taught us how to have fun on the dance floor!

We were interested in ballroom dancing for our teenage daughter in order to better her poise and confidence, not to mention give her a rounded dance education. Arthur Murray Ridgewood came highly recommended by friends of ours who have worked with them in the past. My daughter absolutely loves it! I can see a difference in how she carries herself even after only a couple of weeks! The staff is amazing, talented, so professional and made my daughter feel comfortable right from the start. She has enjoyed her time spent there and dances through the house when she returns home. She has specifically worked with Andrea and Nikko. I would recommend Arthur Murray Ridgewood to others in a heartbeat. I think it's time my hubby and I to schedule some classes!!!

Andrea and co are the consummate dance pros! Very user friendly, eager to teach, and fun! They were able to teach me how to tango! That’s not an easy feat! We can’t wait to go back to dance!!

Simply the happiest place on earth! My wife and I walked in nearly 6 years ago...and changed our lives. I already knew that ballroom dancing was better for your brain than crossword puzzles or music. What I could not have imagined was how our lives and our relationship could be so enhanced. Equally amazing, is that not only at the Ridgewood studio, but in ALL studios, how fantastic the instructors are, both as teachers AND as human beings. And, oh yeah, to be able to confidently walk into ANY social situation and dance with my wife until they shut the floor down...priceless!!

This is a great place. Fun instructors, fantastic people. My wife and I have been coming here since 2011 and have continued ever since. We in fact have turned it into a date night and have booked it for another year. It is 45 minutes where we focus on ourselves, laugh at our selves and take us away from life. My wife also comes here on her own. We would both recommend it without a second thought.

Keep in mind that a lot of the reviews here are posted due to in studio competitions for the chance at getting a free lesson. They're heavily skewed on the positive end. They've got a few good instructors, and a lot of active students which make the parties and groups fun. The facilities are a bit lacking though. The floor is not sprung at all, making any time over an hour spent here kind of painful.
