Mariah was our waitress. She was new, so made a couple little mistakes, but she was delightful! We've all had our first day in customer service, and its intimidating. Mariah handled herself very well, the food was awesome, and she was right on top of our drinks. Great food, love Mariah!

The food was great but our server was horrible once the rest of our party left. We were down to 4 people and then she pretty well ignored us. Couldn't get a drink and my friend had to get up to ask for a menu. After my friend got her food, we got no service at all. I believe her name was Mariah and she needs to work on her customer service! She might make some more money. I worked in this business for 8 years and never treated anyone like that!! Also, as a server, you NEVER assume that the change on a tab is your tip!! My friend had to ask for her change. Naturally, Mariah didn't get a tip.

For dinner, the brussels sprouts dish is fabulous--add their grilled shrimp for a delicious meal! Breakfast is fun with traditional and special choices--the grill pork chop is perfectly cooked every time!

Not sure who said high priced and small portions, I couldn't finish my meal. Got the Cobb salad and subbed the turkey for flank steak. The steak was a little tougher than what I'm used to but it had good flaver. Good selection of craft beers as well. Dani was our waitress and she was very attentive.

Dinner menu is pretty limited. One hamburger choice. Pasta with peppers and sausage ,beef stroganoff are only 2 pasta choices. I do have to say the prime rib was impressive better than steak houses. Due to limited menu choices I opted for an appetizer for dinner which was also good. Add more pasta and sandwich choices and you would have gotten 5 stars. We will try again.

8/11/19 Long wait for service and food. Order was wrong. They attempted to correct it. Still not right. Was not fit to eat.. paid and left. Will not return. Had eaten at this same place in July. Food was great. All I can say is they must have a new cook. That can't even cook scrambled eggs.

The food is tasty and price is comparable to other nice eating establishments here in Billings. Their prime rib has a wonderful dry rub on the outside and sooo tender. Their soups are made in house and very flavorful. The nachos and chicken strips can each be used as a meal. Will definitely be back

My boyfriend and I have gone to the Horse the last 2 Saturdays for breakfast. Each time I have been blown away! You get a lot of food, nice atmosphere, and dynamite service. Our server today always had a smile on her face(whitney was her name). She was waiting on a little girl and her dad behind us and upon the little girls request for a strawberry lemonade (which they do not have) the waitress said she would see what she could do. That is service you do not see any more. I highly recommend this place and will continue to send my friends.

My girlfriend and I have been here probably 20 or more times in the last year or so. Great breakfast with full bar. I have only tried their breakfast fare but I'm sure the rest is great too. You can tell they are always working on customer service because they are so good at it and I always see one guy who I think is either the manager or the owner and he is actively involved in this place becoming a local classic.

The waitress and supervisor (I think) were nice.... food was good when we finally got it. It took almost 45 minutes to get 2 pieces of French toast, 1 pancake, 4 eggs, and 4 pieces of sausage.... we aren't from Billings and like to eat local food and try new places, this wasn't exactly a good first impression..... we probably won't go back anytime soon.

Went in with total of 4 (two of which are servers/waitresses) adults and two children, sat down at many of the open tables (place was not busy at all), and patiently waited for the server. After waiting for over 10 minutes, we watched a couple walk in, sit at a table and the server walked right up to the table and gave them a menu. We got up, put our jackets on and went to the Muzzleloader Cafe and had brunch on the table within 10 minutes of sitting down. IF YOU WANT HORRIBLE SERVICE GO EAT AT HIGH HORSE. TERRIBLE JOB HIGH HORSE......TERRIBLE....

The food is good. The smashed red potatoes as an alternative to hash browns is fantastic on the breakfast menu. The green tea creme brûlée is delicious. The service is fair. The wait time to get the food is long.

Waited about an hour and a half for our food. Waitress was not consistent. The bartender was more consistent with refilling our drinks. I could tell my food was frozen and not fresh. Tasted like Tyson chicken nuggets to me... which is Gross. Not worth the wait at all. And we were Not impressed and will not come back.

Had been there for lunch, which was amazing. The Big Sky Comedy Fest used this as a venue. Amazed at the quality of the remodel and level of class add to this popular location. Also DJ Skinny Beats performs here, so it must be top notch.

This rating is for FOOD ONLY! Nice seating beatuful remodel horrible food at high end resteraunt prices. We ordered a 14 Oz Prime rib and beer battered shrimp. Shrimp was rubbery and breading was not fully cooked, not a chef by any means but seemed like they quickly deep fried fully cooked shrimp ($24). On to the worst part. The Prime was tender but dryer than a ball of cotton and luke warm at best. Again not a chef but my guess is the Prime was cooked 3 days ago, stored in the fridge (waitress said it wasn't frozen) and warmed up to serve. Fat/marbling was hard and solid hard to even cut, I have never seen a cut of prime rib served this way. Will never order food here again. On the plus side. They have a good draft selection, great atmosphere and friendly staff. I recommend a few drinks and night dancing here but warn you to stay away from the overpriced food.

Service and food both are pretty hit or miss. Sometimes the service is excellent and other times the waiter forgets your soup then tries to say that each cup of soup is cooked individually to explain the delay. Sometimes your steak is cooked to the very definition of perfection but the next time it might be charcoal that happens to bleed and moo at you when prodded. Definitely worth a go but some consistency would be appreciated.

Have came here many times but today the apps came fast but the cheese curds were super cold have had the blackened prime rib many time today it came out with just blackening seasoning on top not like the ones i have at night super bad. This by far is the worst experience we have had i brought my neice from California here to show them the good food, took over a hour to get food and would of been better off to went going to a casino for prime rib. The drinks tho were fantastic, makes it hard to want to come back here unless at night cause lunch crew bombed badly. They call this a 14 prime rib blackened not even close very disappointed. The to go order i got for my daughter was totally wrong like they just didn't care. Again just one bad experience in the 10 plus times we have ate here we usually do dinner here. The owner reid is by far a awsome person and fantastic owner so everyone take this with a grain of salt as one bad meal wont mske us not come back, if was bad always wouldn't of been my first choice to take family from out of town.

From breakfast and brunch menus that will get your day started right, to lunch and dinner specials that will keep you coming back, the food is amazing and one of the great spots in town. Add in entertainment throughout the week ranging from comedy, live music, dance lessons, and fundraiser events, there's something for everyone.

High Horse Saloon provided us with terrible bar service for our wedding! They were great with communication and were very friendly, but when the day came, the service was bad and they forgot certain drinks we had requested! First, they tried charging our guests for a certain drink we were paying for, even though they had a sign they wrote themselves about which drinks we were providing for our guests! Second, when it came time for toasts we asked for the champagne, they said they forgot the champagne, and they asked that we wait about 20-30 minutes so they could go get some, but we were tight on time as guests were starting to leave after dinner. Third, they did not bring requested brands of alcohol or mixers for our preferred drinks, even after it was confirmed over phone and email that it would be available! Lastly, I had paid them in advance for our keg, set up fee, and the labor but they charged us again for them since my husband finished paying at the end of the night. There was so much going on how were we to catch that immediately? They are highly recommended, and we don't know why. They provided just terrible services and were the only vendors that upset us.

What a hidden gem. One of the best breakfast places we've visited. Everything is homemade so allow for that but it is DELICIOUS! From the outside it doesn't appear to be much. Everyone on the staff is a joy, very helpful and does their best to welcome you. Definitely a place to give a chance.
