My experience with this place has been horrible. It started off good they were able to provide my date that I needed. The day of the party was good I had no problems there. The problem began when I tried to get my deposit back. They have you sign a contract and they tell you in the contract if there is nothing damaged (which it wasn't) then you will get your deposit back. I have been calling and calling them to get my deposit back. Every time I call to get it back it's a different story as to why I can't get my deposit. The owner is never there. the owner is out of town, the owner will be back on this day and when you show up that day they are still not there. Call and leave voicemails and they don't return your calls write emails and they don't return those. Pop up to talk to management and they are never there. I am just trying to figure out how are you running a place of business and the MANAGERS are never there. I have been trying to get my deposit back for FIVE months. I would not recommend this place to rent for anything.

I would give 10 stars if I could for this studio. I had my wedding there and now I ended up to be a student. Love the place, love the people. All I can see is UCD is a very nice place, always clean, don’t have any bad experience of the place. Very friendly, they treated people like family. High... highly recommend !!!

Words fail me when I try to explain how incredible this studio is. It was dumb luck (or providence) that brought me to this studio, and it was the best thing that could have happened to me! Work brought me into the St. Louis area not even a year ago, and somewhat on a whim I decided it might be fun to try ballroom dancing (one could say I have impulsivity issues). I had never done ballroom dancing before, so I couldn’t tell you what I was looking for. I had never been to nor knew anyone from St. Louis, so even asking someone what studio I should go to wasn’t an option. I looked online at the different options available to me, and to be honest, this studio won out for a pretty unimpressive reason – it was ridiculously close to where I was staying! But that’s how it all started… Tell me if any of these things sound like something you would want in a dance studio: - Kind and caring owners that care more for helping you be your best than for how much money they can make. - Teachers that know you by name in group classes. - Fellow dancers who go out of their way to uplift each other and have fun together. - A close knit bond with dancers that quickly extends beyond the studio. - The ability to practice as much as you want and with whomever you want while the studio is open. - The opportunity to perform as a group at public venues and individually at professional competitions. - Almost guaranteed fun! I found all of that at this studio, and so much more that you would be bored reading about it. Stan and Mary, who own and run this independent studio, have created a true gem. And you don’t need to hear it from them (and of course never would). Talk with other students in the group class, especially those who have been to other dance studios, and they will consistently tell you that this studio is leaps and bounds ahead of any other studio, with pricing that does not at all match what they are worth!! What started off as what very well could have been a passing curiosity has become a deeply rooted passion. It’s hard to believe how much I’ve grown as a dancer since I started (though starting from nothing does tend to make the growth rate more impressive). One person told me not that long ago that when I first got here I looked spazzy (not something anyone wants to hear) and now I look like I’ve been dancing for years. I doubt that would be the case if I landed at another dance studio, for sure not as quickly, and certainly not while having this much fun. Dancing with Gabrielle (Gabby) has been a blast, and Mary is absolutely incredible – amazing skill and an equally great personality, and Stan with his boundless energy leads the best group classes. And then there are the other students, who are so much fun to be around. I have found many fellow students I have spent hours practicing with who have greatly helped me hone my skill. With Stan and Mary, and others I’ve met through the studio, I have made friends for life. It was luck that brought me here, and experience that will keep me here.

From the minute I walked in the door back in July of 2018, Stan and Mary Collins (owners) not only made me feel welcome, they made me feel as if I could learn every genre of Ballroom dancing. Although I have a dance background, ballroom is an entirely different game. You have a partner and a whole new set of rules to learn and remember. The entire group makes you feel comfortable. You forget your learning and just begin to have fun which is what dancing SHOULD be all about! This studio is a family holding each other up or in inclass but at events and outside of the studio. So happy I joined and am taking lessons! Five just isn’t enough stars !

Don’t worry, be happy, U Can Dance! The power of positivity starts with the company name and carries through the entire experience. The parking lot is huge the dance floor is huge and floor lighting is bright or subtle, you choose. Excellent teachers of dance. Stop by and watch, listen and feel the energy inside. Stan and Mary Collins have been in business a long time teaching, competing, and performing in the community and providing the community a lovely venue for social events. There have been many WELL dressed parties held in the studio, creating lasting memories and return engagements. Life is good but better on the dance floor. U Can Dance is my studio of choice.

Having been at the studio working with the professional dance instructors for 8 years. The dance instruction is well grounded in ballroom pedagogy and proper body mechanics. The group classes are affordable and a relaxed environment, more fun than a barrel of ferrets. Individual lessons and group instruction draws on the deep level of world class professional dance methods mastered by the professional instructors. Dance students also have the opportunity to train with world champions of dance as an occasional option. The studio and its dancers have won many awards at official competitions over the years. Also dancers are not required to bring a dance partner, though you certainly can bring a partner if you have one. U Can Dance has helped me find my inner shizzle and helped me to more effectively shake what my momma gave me. U Can Dance Studio, the place to find your happy dance.

I was welcomed with incredibly wide open arms. They offer group classes and many performance opportunities in a fun, nonthreatening environment. Highly recommended. This place is my second home.

They've helped many young people get a chance to study dance and compete on a national level, where they otherwise would not have had the opportunity.

My girlfriend dragged me out to dance one day and I ended up liking it more than she did! We aren’t together anymore, but I’m still dancing each week. It’s a great place to meet new people, have fun, and get some exercise. I definitely recommend this studio to anyone wanting to learn dance for the first time, or someone looking for a good family atmosphere to polish their existing dance skills.
