I am a current parent, with multiple children dancing for this studio. Many positive words come to mind when I think of Studio 4...and the one word that sticks out the most to me is DEDICATION. Definition: "The quality of being committed to a task or purpose." The owners had a passionate vision when they decided to start their own business. Dedication to their vision has allowed them to consistently grow, change, learn, and expand. They have provided dancers with top notch instruction, inspired children to be the best versions of themselves, and built a studio family. Time with my children is limited. As a mother/parent, I've chosen to engage my kids in activities and with people that/who are of quality and will help them develop into well rounded individuals. Studio 4 has stood by my kids (family) professionally and personally. It takes a village...Studio 4 is a dedicated, quality, passionate "village" to be part of. I am grateful that we found this studio 9 years ago!!

I am a parent of a former studio 4 dancer. My daughter danced for the sisters for 6 years and she loved every minute of it. She learned that if you have a great work ethic your hard work will pay off! We met a lot of families and made a lot of great friends over the years while she danced at studio 4. I have great respect for all the sister, they make the studio feel like your part of their family.

We have been at this studio for over 5 years and have 2 girls dancing in both the recreational and competitive programs. All of the instructors has each child’s best interest in mind and we have built wonderful experiences and relationships at this studio. My daughters say they would be so sad if we were to ever move because they love the studio so much. What I love most about the studio is that they spend many hours giving back to the community which teaches the kids so many other important life lessons outside of dance (but the dancing is AMAZING too). ❤️

My daughter has danced at Studio 4 for 4 years - 2 years of recreational and 2 years of competitive. She absolutely loves and enjoys every minute of being at the studio! These 4 sisters have done an amazing job of building a dance family that truly loves and cares for one another! I am so proud to have have my daughter be a part of this studio!

This studio is the worst studio. They are truly in it for the money. They do not teach safe and proper technique. They use hardships in life to promote their Studio. To name a few Jacobs Wetterling. Specials needs kids and Parker loves life! It is heart breaking that 4 parents could be so cruel. One of the dance moms said to me that they yell at their own kids just like they yell at the students. They don't give opportunities that are well deserved sometimes they don't recognize hard work these dancers give them. They cheat at competitions by copying routines and lying about there dancers ages. This studio is a discrace to the dance community!!!!

Studio 4 is an amazing dance studio. Our daughter has been apart of this studio for the past 10 years. We appreciate the dedication and talent of the teachers and staff. The dancers are challenged and pushed to be their very best on and off stage. Technique, conditioning and strength training are high priority. This past year has been an extraordinary year for the studio. Aside from all the great dance and highly competitive wins...the thoughtful, heartfelt work that has gone into the adaptive program has exceeded everything. Get the word out, dancers of all ages, levels and abilities are welcomed here. Yes we as a family are proud to be Studio 4.

This will be our eighth season at Studio 4 and we have had a wonderful experience. The teachers/owners work to create not only great dancers, but to develop good people by encouraging the dancers to help in the community and to think beyond themselves. We are very glad to be a part of this studio.

The staff and teachers are nothing shy of amazing with these kids. Whatever your level of commitment is they have something for everyone and treat EVERYONE the same! As the parent of a Studio 4 graduated senior and the current Program Director for the Adaptive dance program, I am saddened by the review stating that Studio 4 uses “hardships in life” to promote the studio. To question the motives of a studio that offers an opportunity for children with special needs a place to dance is beyond comprehension. I will not qualify those remarks by defending the reason for the program, the families of children with special needs and the children themselves know why Studio 4 added this program. You mentioned “Parker Loves Life”. We, like many other dance studios around the country were proudly part of her brave campaign last year to help raise awareness for brain cancer. You didn’t mention the other outreach the studio does in the community; last year Studio 4 families donated approximately $5000.00 worth of goods to a women’s shelter and 3000 pounds of food to the local food shelf. These acts were not done to promote the studio, they were done to promote community. You made some bold assertions regarding the integrity of our competitions. Please know that the competitions we attend are highly reputable and have strict rules about dancer’s ages. We have no reason to risk our business by “lying about our dancer’s ages”. And finally, you mentioned Jacob Wetterling. Perhaps you forgot that the Wetterling family asked people to use the number 11 “as a symbol of hope and to honor their son by adding it somewhere on their person at their next game, concert or big event to show their commitment to making the world a better place for kids”. We chose to honor Jacob at the Firemuster Parade last fall. As a reminder, the 11 represents the 11 things that people can do to nurture a culture of kindness and compassion. They are: Be fair, be kind, be understanding, be honest, be thankful, be a good sport, be a good friend, be joyful, be generous, be gentle with others and be positive. We would all do well to live by these values.

We as a family are so fortunate to be a part of such a wonderful group of people. We value to the teachers and staff for the support they have provided to our daughter. Her love of dance is obvious as she dances through life due to the encouragement of her teachers and friends. As a family we have created strong friendship and lasting memories. Hated, hated this dance studio. Owners were rude and very unwelcoming. Studio was always dirty with food crumbs on floor, food wrapping laying everywhere. Can someone get up off their behind at the desk and pick it up? Went there one year for 2 children and will never go back again. They did not learn much compared to other dance schools.

This is my family's 7th year with Studio 4, our 5th in the competitive program. It would take pages to fill this space with all the highlights of everything extraordinary about being a part of the Studio 4 family. When I specify family because being a part of S4D is so much more than high quality dance classes and competitive programming. The special group of people you will encounter at Studio 4 include owners and staff that know each child and parent by name. Older dancers mentoring younger dancers. Friendships among dancers that cross age gaps, teams, lines, and skills. And parents that are always willing to lend a hand. The life skills, passion, drive, tenacity, and persistence my daughter has developed through the unsurpassed instruction and coaching at Studio 4 will stay ingrained in her throughout her lifetime. If I’m wrong, “Jill”, please add more detail about your niece’s “negative experience”. There are potential customers that read these reviews (you obviously know that) and it’s only fair that they know what made your “niece’s” experience so negative. The business owners deserve to know how they can ensure experiences like your niece’s (or possibly your daughter’s?) don’t happen again. However, if it is in fact a fabricated story and/or a bitter attempt to negatively impact this business I would strongly encourage you to remove it from the world wide web. After reading the "review" from Sally User1968, I felt compelled to share my family's experiences with Studio 4 Dancers. My daughter is starting her 6th season as part of the Studio 4 family. I can promise you that if I felt she was being mistreated or if I felt like proper technique wasn't being taught, I would never have her at this studio. Nothing could be further from the truth! My daughter has NEVER been yelled at by ANY of the teachers. The teachers know what their dancers are capable of and they help them strive to achieve that level of skill. On a personal note, my daughter and my entire family experienced first-hand the genuine love and care the sisters and teachers have for us. We recently dealt with a serious illness and death of my father (my daughter's grandpa). The sisters and teachers were loving and understanding to my daughter's emotional needs at all times. Extra hugs were provided along with expressions of support. Upon my father's passing, the sisters and their mother made a donation in his memory to the organization our family requested for memorials. That is what family is all about. I feel that the studio does put an emphasis on dancer wellness. They've had a dance nutritionist come in to speak to the parents and to the dancers about how to fuel and hydrate your body to reduce injuries and keep yourself in the best health possible. And, they had a chiropractor come to talk about joint health, how to prevent injuries and how to correctly use a foam roller. I have had the privilege of coordinating the studio's outside projects/charitable giving the past 2 seasons. I feel completely honored to be a part of a dance studio that makes giving one of their priorities. During the past 2 seasons, these are the various things the Studio 4 families and staff have accomplished: 1. Donated over 4,000 pounds of food and $338.90 to Open Door Pantry food shelf to benefit local families in need. Part of this food was collected at the studio's annual Holiday Show at Burnsville High School. If a person brought an item of food to donate, their entrance to the show was free. The studio still had to rent the space at BVHS, but the sisters were more interested in collecting food for those in need than in collecting fees from their guests to pay for the rental charge. 2. Donated well over $6,000 worth of items to the 360 Communities Lewis House domestic violence shelter. The studio has been doing a collection for this organization for the past 7 years. This $6,000 is just what we've collected the past 2 years. 3. Sponsored a local family in need at Christmas with over $1,000 worth of needed items and gifts donated. 4. Organized and participated in 3 Feed My Starving Children packing events. 5. Donated over 100 pairs of shoes to Soles 4 Souls organization. 6. Donated over 40 pairs of tap shoes to Africa Jam. 7. Handmade over 100 Valentine's cards for the residents at Highview Hills senior living. 8. Parker Loves Life - at the request of Parker's own dance studio, Studio 4 dancers, teachers and parents wore purple, made signs of support, and took pictures to show Parker the love the dance community had for her. In addition, the studio sent her a teddy bear, Studio 4 t-shirt, goodies and money to help her in her cancer battle. 9. Jacob Wetterling #11 - last fall, at the request of the Jacob Wetterling Founation, our dancers donned headbands with the #11 on them when they walked in the Burnsville parade. The sisters and their mother bought the fabric and made the headbands themselves to provide to our dancers. This was a way to show support to the Wetterling family and remind us all of how we should live our lives with the 11 traits. I am proud to have my daughter be a part of the Studio 4 Dancers family. She has made lifelong friends, learned valuable life lessons, been given an outlet for her love of dance, AND is supported, loved and guided by fantastic role models and mentors that we call dance teachers.

After 5 years and thousands of dollars spent we walked away from this studio. Zero connection between the owners/teachers and my child after all that time. The biggest reason I tell people we left is that I truly feel if we walked past anyone one of them on the street today they would not even notice/recognize us. My child is finally thriving as she should have been all along elsewhere. A studio should feel like your second family after all the days and time you spend at the studio, and this never felt like that for us at all. In 5 years I can count on my hands alone the number of times I even spoke with any of the teachers/owners about my child or her progress.

The staff are very welcoming and encouraging to each child, they truly care about each dancer and want to help them be the best that they can be. The sisters are genuinely nice people and treat everyone fairly. The opportunities are endless at this dance studio!

We loved this studio and how it felt like a home away from home. It felt like family and we all developed lifelong friendships. The teachers welcome everyone, all ages, and ability levels. When we moved out of state, they even helped us make connections with another dance studio.

I have been involved in the dance world for many years as my daughter was a student in two prominent studios in the twin cities and now dances on her college dance team. I have however, been lucky enough to attend many Studio 4 recitals and also be a substitute teacher in the adaptive dance class. Through my experience at other studios, I can honestly say that Studio 4 does an amazing job in community outreach and providing opportunities for dancers of every ability. The owners and staff care about each dancer and I look forward to attending many more recitals!
