the leader of rdt are manipulative, and hurtful. i pray everyday for the students still involved in RDT. so much hurt, and lying involved.

I danced at this studio for many years. I was in public school and was often scolded for not being homeschooled. I was treated differently and often ridiculed for how I dressed or outgoing I was. I was often overshadowed by many dancers just because I was not homeschooled or couldn't put hours and hours in a week because I had other obligations. I moved into helping teach as I got older and my time was abused. One year I got a rib injury and the management did nothing for me. It was incredibly painful and still causes me issues today. They say they are a Christian based company but if you are a woman they ultimately make you feel like you have to dress a certain way and say certain things in order to be a good Christian. I strongly urge you to not dance with this company and save your self the physical, mental, and spiritual hurt.

I’ve been dancing here since the age of 8. Reign Dance Theater has been a major blessing in my life. It is the highlight of my week and I’ve made so many amazing God centered relationships here. RDT is a wonderful place of worship. In everything we do we aim to worship God. The teachers/ leadership are a beacon for the gospel and their warm smiles and kindheartedness make classes enjoyable. I would highly recommend this ministry to anyone wanting to grow, not only in in dance technique but also in their walk with God.

This studio is a wonderful place of worship, and a beautiful environment for growth in your walk. Jesus is at the center of this company. I have been dancing for 13 years, 9 of which (and counting) have been spent at this company. The two + years I spent at other companies, I did not find the love nor the acceptance I was seeking. The management is very open to being talked with, and the community that the company has become is wonderful. While, it has its problems (what studio doesn't?), the management is working to fix them and make Reign Dance even better than it was before. The friendships are lasting and the relationships real. I would definitely recommend it.

This is a beautiful ministry. Yes, there may be better places to go and dance, but this is where we go to praise and worship God. This is a place where I would go to be encouraged and loved. There are so many amazing people, and friendships that are growing in Christ. We are here to show God's love through the art of dance. The teachers have been trained in classical ballet styles such as Russian, and French. I would recommend this ballet company for those who love to dance, act, and worship. Unlike many other companies, Reign Dance Theater incorporates acting and theater to proclaim the Gospel to the ends of the earth!

Unfortunately, our experience was just like so many already have posted. Hearing about this last problem of predators not being publicly exposed and children not being protected is typical. Although we didn’t have that problem (not that we know of, but they wouldn’t have told us anyway), we had too many other legalistic confusions and deceptions. It is very sad, because it could have been great.

Unlike most students who have grown up at Reign Dance Theater, I've danced at many different studios over the years and can say that what RDT does you can't find anywhere else. The teachers are encouraging yet challenging, the dances have variety, the costumes are modest, the community is welcoming, and the performances are something you can invite anyone to. The studio I stayed with for over 5 years built up a reality in my mind that you'll never have an opportunity to preform unless you give away all your evenings for classes. This company has opened a new world to me of possibilities without sacrificing all other extracurricular activities. It amazes me how God works through them despite every obstacle. RDT has resurrected my love for dance through an uplifting God-centered environment when I thought I was done. I recommend.

I danced here for many years and can honestly say it is the most legalistic, deceptive, and manipulative environment I have ever been a part of. Students who are not considered “Godly” enough are shamed and punished, which portrays an entirely different Gospel than the message of grace, forgiveness, and redemption taught by Jesus Christ. The directors obscure anything that does not make them look good and are willing to sacrifice their students’ physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual well-being on the altar of self-image. Students and parents who help out making costumes and props, choreographing, helping backstage, etc. are entirely taken for granted and never compensated. I helped teach and choreograph for about a year, and the work I did was treated with entitlement. The dance training, while appearing rigorous and technical enough, completely messed up my back and legs, causing pain and incorrect technique (as I learned upon switching studios and which I have had to work very hard to correct). The students there and the families of the students are absolutely wonderful and dear people, but the management is not. If you are looking for a place to dance, please go elsewhere for the sake of your own health and well-being. Even if you desire to dance at a place that honors Christ, keep looking and do not settle for this company. Despite their claim to Christianity (and its values), they are anything but.

We were involved for years and can NOT recommend. The “ministry” portion doesn’t reach anyone, because no outreach is ever done, except placing posters in various places. That’s IT. And the management doesn’t practice what they preach, thus making the environment confusing, at best. Finally, the techniques are not taught properly, damaging bodies of students. Instructors are amateur and don’t know proper technique, because THEY were taught incorrectly. The injuries every year are numerous, WAY more than other studios (but don’t ask management, they are too concerned with image to say what’s really happening. Although there is a lot more I could say about that, I will refrain.) Our child was one of the best dancers there and would approach the teacher to get help with technique, especially as her back and legs were having issues. The instructions to activate certain muscle groups was WRONG, causing additional damage, that could have been permanent had we stayed. Thankfully we left before permanent damage was done and are now getting careful, correct instruction. And she is healing now, in more ways than one. The families involved are great, but simply don’t know what is going on behind the scenes. The families are awesome, precious people. It’s sad they are being so duped. God is good and will not be mocked. I pray every day for repentance and healing for that “ministry” and all involved.

The families involved in the company are wonderful but the leadership is messed up. The poor leadership has made the environment harmful and unhealthy. The training itself is also not very good. I danced here for many years and I would not recommend this place to anyone.

It was a great experience for me when i was young, but as I got older i started to realize how truly manipulative and shaming RDT truly was. The leaders of RDT do not hide their favoritism for certain students. The students who memorized the most Bible verses were awarded with a standing-ovation, and treated like the Apostle Paul himself. The leaders encourage their students to follow an unrealistic image. Rather than training their students to KNOW Christ, they train them to BE LIKE someone who knows Christ. And, rather than encouraging their students to know Christ, they push them to dress modestly, and “shine like stars in the universe.” Because of RDT, growing up my goals were twisted. Rather than striving to know God in His fullness, i strived to be as holy as my classmate. Why? Because I noticed that my classmate “acted” holy, and was therefore, placed in all the best dances - right up front. Most of Reign Dance Theaters dance placements, and “cast party recognitions” are not based upon actual dance talent, but rather upon the things the pharisees strived for. Save yourself some heartache, and go to a dance studio that will encourage you to pursue GOD - not the fruits OF God.

The families are wonderful, but the people who run it are really, really bad. It deserves zero stars. Dance elsewhere; you won’t regret it.
