I’ve been going to this studio sense the day it’s opened and I absolutely with out a doubt love the studio and the owner more than anything. We are a family and yes there may be arguments but what family doesn’t argue. Natasha is the sweetest, most caring, best teacher out there. I come to her with problems I’m facing and she just listens and helps me through what ever I’m going through. Natasha has been my ride or die for 6 years now and she is just so amazing. The choreography is so cool and so unique. Almost every year we have a dance that deals with a very sad subject to help raise awareness to that subject. We’ve had about 3 including this year cancer dances so far. And we also have super awesome dances with props and fake colored contacts! Mdc is not only an amazing environment but if you join us in our journey everyone accepts you right away. There is no time for bullies. Once you join you are immediately in the family and only get treated with the greatest respect the coaches and team can give. We have dinners are Natasha’s and team bonding parties and even before nationals sleepovers at Natasha’s. (Which this is our like 4th year going to nationals). The studio all around is just so amazing and I’m so happy to be apart of the team I’m on. Sure we aren’t perfect and we don’t win everything but who does? There’s no such thing as perfection because nothing in this world is perfect. If you give us a shot I guarantee you will love the studio dancers and the staff as much as we do. MDC is amazing!! They have passionate, talented instructors, stunning choreography, and a fun, but structured environment to learn and grow in. My daughter has been dancing on the MDC Competition Team since they opened in 2013. It has been so inspiring watching all of “our girls” flourish into the beautiful, confident performers they are today. In fact this weekend, their BEST weekend ever...even better than their 5 National titles in my book, they were rewarded BIG TIME for all of their hard work when MDC swept all 3 levels of competition—beginner, intermediate, and advanced to become the NEXSTAR REGIONAL CHAMPIONS in all 3 levels!! That’s HUGE!! The icing on the cake, however, was when our 5 Acro girls (ages 9, 15, 16, 17, and 17) were awarded both the Best Technique Award of the competition AND THE HIGHEST SCORING ROUTINE of the entire weekend!!!! There were nearly 400 entries and they were #1!! That group included my daughter, her 2 best friends, and 2 of her “sisters”! The relationships these girls have formed with both their instructors and their fellow dancers is like no other. We are so proud to belong to the wonderful MDC family!!

after moving to mdc, i feel as though i improve everyday, and i am much more confident in my performance and skills. i have also met so many nice girls, who have become some of my closest friends. there are amazing instructors who encourage, push, and love all of us students. at mdc, we are taught respect, love, and hard work. we all go through and experience so much together, and i think that’s what makes us a strong team worth joining.

I’ve been going to this studio for around 4-5 years and still do I love it very much they don’t only have an amazing dance background but they are all very nice and respectful teachers. I love being at the studio it’s honestly like my second home and I’m not just saying that, I have been to a bunch of studios through my whole life so about 12 years from all different studios but this one is by far the best. I have learned so much from all of the teachers and I have seen so much improvement in my dancing from when I started... Now you might ask... Is the studio routines perfect? Well the teachers make them the best they can and nobody is perfect but everyone is working forwards it together. You may ask... What styles do they teach? They have many different styles from ballet, technique classes,tap, hip hop,Pom,lyrical,jazz basically everything you can think of they also have mommy and me classes so the younger ones get a great experience when their are still young and get to like dance. You may want to know if it’s very expensive because most studios are expensive because the dancers and getting taught and get to keep their dancing skills for their whole entire dance career. Mdc is not very expensive but than also it just depends on what the child does and how many classes they do. Michigan dance company also teaches boys because dance is not just for girl they have wrestling and hip hop also many more. They also have where the dancer that doesn’t know if they will like a class they get to be in the class for one week with a small class before signing up which is great for beginnings and just anyone in general that hasn’t done every style of dance yet. Some people think dance is just about the winning but it’s not for our studio it is always fun to win and get 1st place but all that really matters is if your having fun because what’s the point of doing something you don’t like and your not having fun doing. I hope this review helped anyone who is looking for a dance studio I haughty recommend Michigan dance studio it is a great studio to be at. Some studios only teach you to be a good dancer but Mdc also teaches you how to be the best you can be, not to give up, have a positive attitude towards everything, be nice and respectful and really they teach you how to be a great person and a amazing dancer all at one studio.

No matter what they will always push you to be the best you can be. Not only are we taught how to be amazing dancers we are taught how to be dedicated, hardworking, and respectful people. The classes offered help you improve tremendously. There is multiple ballet classes throughout the week, technique classes, a specific class for turns and leaps, and so much more. Michigan Dance Company has improved my technique so much for the past 3 years. I have learned so much, have been pushed to the best of my ability, and everyone there is so nice! I love all my teachers and I always look forward to the next season! I totally recommend it here! The one star reviews really don’t reflect the amount of drive, and compassion the instructors give their students. There is no drama or bullying at this studio, and that is coming from me. Someone who has dealt with bullying in the past and currently, and has 3 types of anxieties and major depression. Yes, there are those times that can be rough, but we always are there for each other. No matter what. Competition season is always fun, win or lose, and even if someone may get hurt, or not win a good ranking, they know that it’s a learning experience. I know it may upset people, even me to not place in the moment, but we aren’t perfect. You may cry because you are unhappy, but we are all human. And everyone in MDC builds off of each other. We stay late in competitions to support each other, and any other studio. We stand up and clap on stage for rewards for other studios. The studio does not promote unsportsmanlike actions. Yes everyone has those moments, but they are always fixed in the end. I’m saying this from my heart, because I have improved so much at this studio from a previous studio, who didn’t treat me so well. I am very sure that anyone who wants to check us out, won’t be sorry.
