Ballroom dancing is the best way to celebrate date night! Ann Marie's social basics class is fun and provides beginner dancers with the necessary skills to attend social dancing events. I would highly recommend Dancesport Boston to couples who enjoy each others company and are looking for a fun, inexpensive way to spend date night.

I've been taking lessons at Dance Sport Boston for about a year, and really enjoy them. At first, it was a bit intimidating for me to join a group dance class without a partner, but the instructors quickly put me at ease by frequently having everyone alternate partners during the class. The instructors are terrific - former professional dancers who break down the dances into simple, clear steps that are very manageable for an out-of-shape, inexperienced beginners like myself. Private classes are terrific - as you get one-on-one instruction, which enables you to improve your dance skills at a faster speed. This is a great resource for someone who has always wanted to try ballroom dancing (but is nervous to try it solo), for a couple looking to inject a little romance into their relationship, or a bride/groom to be trying to 'up their dance game for their wedding'. I've met some terrific people here and look forward to continuing my dance lessons for years to come.

We started taking ballroom lessons in 2012 to get ready for our daughter's wedding. After three months of lessons I could lead our daughter through a rumba that wasn't going to win anything on DWTS, but it wasn't bad either. After the wedding we were having so much fun we decided to stick with it and see where it went. Where it went was, when our other daughter got married in 2015 we did a whole lot of dancing, not just the Father/Daughter dance, and my wife and I did swing number just to show off. We went on a swing cruise last year and we're going on another one in January, so it's become a thing that we can do together and enjoy. Ann Marie and John know what they're doing. Put yourself in their hands and you will definitely progress and have a lot of fun.

I've been a student at DanceSport Boston for nine years now and I can't say enough about the owners / instructors and their teaching - just great! Over the years I've taken mostly group lessons and a couple of privates. If you thought about taking dance but a little intimidated you should really give it a try. The confidence, the exercise and the joy of movement you experience is well worth it. It is a wonderful sport that you can enjoy throughout your life. And last but not least, it opens up a world of new and lasting friendships!

For pulling a name out of the phone book weeks before a trip I was taking, I think I did GREAT in picking someone to teach me to ballroom dance! I tell everyone who asks me about my dancing just where they need to go to learn as well!! The studio is not a full sized ballroom, but the teaching is excellent. Classes are great and I've met some pretty nice people. And, I take private lessons so I can get even better. After three years I'm actually going to do a competition - at beginner level. Dancing ALWAYS puts a smile on my face!

Anne Marie and Paul are very welcoming and they will make you feel at home. Everyone is friendly which is a plus because I came in to the studio and didn't know a single soul, but I didn't have problems finding a dance partner because everyone is so accommodating. I always look forward to the group lessons, I learn different steps every class and was able to dance the basic steps on my first and second months with them. Now I'm thinking of doing private lesson to enhance my level of dancing and experience. After each class, I always go home with a smile in my face! :)
