My daughter enrolled in a dance class at Susan’s School of Dance mid-year without any prior experience. We were welcomed enthusiastically! My daughter never felt out of place and was encouraged to reach her potential. Coming to Susan’s is our favorite time of the week! She just participated in her first recital and had the time of her life! We just enrolled her in an additional class at her request to continue her journey with the school. I highly recommend this school for their dedication, professionalism and care to their students and families.

I have been at this studio for 3 years now and I already love it!!! All of the other dancers are very kind and I have made so many friends over the years. I am on the competition team and every other dancer on it is extremely kind and my second family. The teachers are really supportive in our goals and help us reach them every year. Great studio!!!

My daughter has been dancing at Susan's for 10 years and is on the competition team. She has had such a great experience and has learned so much about herself through dancing. Every instructor and staff person at Susan's has impacted her growth in some way. Not only has she grown as a dancer, but as a person. Whether it's learning to be on time, being respectful towards others, being a great teammate, building confidence in oneself, being helpful....etc., etc., etc.....these are skills that she will be able to carry with her well beyond her career in dance. I am grateful for the time, energy, care, commitment and passion the instructors have given to her and all of the dancers. I'd highly recommend Susan's to anyone considering putting their son or daughter in dance!

My daughters are proud to be on a diverse team with kids from all over the area and have been dancing at Susan's School of Dance for the last 4 years. They previously attended another dance school in the area, and my oldest was on their dance team, but when the team dissolved, the other dance moms and myself, looked for another dance school and team for our girls to join. We are soooo thankful and thrilled that we found Susan's. To say that Ms. Samantha Taylor is amazing is an understatement. She is truly a gifted choreographer, who works tirelessly to bring out the dancer's potential. My daughter's experience at the previous dance school was a positive one, but Ms. Sam has truly elevated my daughter's dance technique and I have watched them both blossom and come alive on stage. Yes, being part of the dance team is not inexpensive, but everything is laid out and spoken about at the parent meeting. We all sign a contract and are told that there are additional costs for makeup, SDC optional clothing, and optional competitions etc. Additionally, this year's dance recital was amazing and it truly baffles my mind how Ms. Sam is able to create so many new and unique dances each and every year!

I've been here since I was 3. When I first stepped into Susan's, I knew that it was an amazing place. It has helped me to become a great dancer. This studio is the best.I love all the the teachers and I am now 10.This is like my family. I love this studio.

My daughter has been on the dance team for 5 years dancing here for 7years and I can personally tell you the negative reviews are from someone who didn't do her part to keep her child on the team. We each sign a contract (both parent and dancer) at the start of each season agreeing to costs, attendance and behavior. There are no hidden fees and like any dance team attendance is crucial. To act surprised and upset that you didn't know about $5 eyelashes is amusing to say the least. Follow the rules.

I’m a dancer here at Susan’s, and let me say.. ITS AWESOME! The teachers are all super nice and welcoming, they also like to help you find your strengths and work on your weaknesses. When you walk in you’re greeted with nothing but smiles and nice people saying hello. I’ve danced with them since I was 3 and I’ve loved it ever since. I help demonstrate and teach some of the classes of the little kids and it’s a great experience. All the girls are amazing on their own levels and the moms are so nice! They rhinestone costumes so we can wear them on stage. The dads help build props and load the prop truck, they also set up props on stage. I really recommend this studio for your children no matter what age they are!

We have just completed our second year of dancing with Miss Susan's School of Dance. We previously danced at another school. Right from the start all of the staff was friendly and professional. All three of my children enjoy classes here on a weekly basis. Two of my children dance with Miss Samantha and my third child has danced with Miss Cindy. All three were given the basics of dance and furthered their education. I love the fact that Miss Denny knows each of my children's names and greets them every time they enter the studio. I'm impressed with the fact that she knows every single child's name and parents name as do Miss Stacy and Miss Barbie who work the front desk. All of the parents here whether their children are on the competitive team or not are warm and friendly and very welcoming. I worked backstage during the past recital and I was impressed by the good behavior of all the children. I have never been happier with a dance studio and I look forward to my children dancing there for many years to come.

Susan's is a great school ! My daughter has been going here for 5 years and has been on the competition team for the last 3 years now.All the teachers are very kind and care about the kids development not just in dance but in life. They teach them about how to follow directions and to take responsibility and accountability for their actions . My daughter has become a stronger more confident person coming to this studio not just in dance but in life I look forward to seeing her development over the years!! I'm so glad we signed her up at this studio best decision!!

This was my first dance studio ever, and I am proud to say that they have given me my base education of dance that has helped me succeed in many aspects of my dance career. I have moved on to dance at different studios, but this studio is the one that will always exceed the expectations of others and train their dancers to be the very best they can be. The company team is also like a whole family who supports one another with anything and everything they do. All the dancers at that company still treat me like family and i’ve been gone for a few years now! The students, faculty, staff, and parents are all fantastic people who are welcoming to anyone.

My daughter is 16 yo and has been dancing here since she was 3 and on their competition team since she was 5. I don’t know of anyone that would continue to solicit a business/company for that long if their child was treated unkindly or if they were not professional. That is fact. I am one of MANY families who are extremely happy with this studio and are proud to have our children learn not only top notch dance skills but valuable life lessons as well.....things such as perserverance, the importance of attendance, friendship, and supporting others among other things. I highly recommend this dance studio!

They are crude , unkind to the kids learning , I've personally witnessed mean spirited criticism and critical opinions of children trying their very best for their instructors . I would recommend you find a better kinder more positive school than this one

I normally do not write many reviews but was compelled to do so after discovering some meritless reviews about this studio. This place is awesome! My daughters have been coming here for years and have devloped some amazing dance skills due to thier teaching style and approach. The school encourages the kids, and fosters an environment for teamwork to flourish. The teachers are outstanding they really put their heart n soul into what they do. They take the time to work one on one with the kids and help them develop their skills. They have an award winning competitive dance team that is top notch and is open for all the kids to join if they desire. The coaches, staff, and administration of this school are also very good. All the parents from the dance team are very supportive and help each other out, it's basically like a second family to the kids. If you live in the south suburbs or NWI this is definitely the dance school you'd want your children to join.

Not a very professional atmosphere by staff at all. We hung in there for years hoping it would get better. Sadly, it was also disappointing to see the attitudes of older girls and pre-teens. It was not a supportive, friendly setting. The owner also handed out real-estate cards as her business card. Not sure why that was pushed.

We have been with Susan’s School of Dance for 3 years. My granddaughter loves being there! She is 8 and takes many different types of dance. She has been on the competition team for two years . The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The dance teachers are all very talented and work hard with each and every student. I am amazed at the growth I have seen in not only my granddaughter , but all the students in the years we have been there! The instructors work very hard from the very beginning to introduce proper technique and to continue to develop it with each dancer at his or her own pace. The classes are also a lot of fun..the teachers truly enjoy teaching the students. My granddaughter is usually the last one out of the studio after lessons are over because she loves being there! The dance team coach is wonderful and very dedicated to the kids. She shapes them into amazing dancers! There are never any hidden fees...everything is presented in writing at the beginning of the competition season. There is very excellent communication between the coach, the school , the dancers and the parents . I cannot say enough about this school and the entire staff ! I highly recommend this studio and am so glad we are a part of it!

My daughter has attended Susan's for the last 7 years, and she has just Loved it!! They have extremely talented instructors and promote a sense of family community. As a dad they have made me feel welcomed. If you are looking for a studio this is it. Whether you want to dance for hobby and fun or if you want to dance professionally, Susan's instructors genuinely care in your dance experience

I was gonna sign up my girls here after visiting the studio and talking to a few parents I'm glad i didn't send them there. They are very rude and unprofessional. Also it's very true the ones giving them food reviews on here are the owners and worker's. Stay away not a good place, nor a caring environment.

I love my dance studio, my dance team and my coach Ms. Sam!!! My dance teachers are all very supportive and loving and we treat each other like we're all one big family. I've been dancing here since I was 3 and on the team since I was 5. It's my home away from home. I love Susan's school of dance!

Great Studio! My kids have been coming to Susan’s for about 8 years. The teachers teach them responsibility, creativity, besides dance to just name a few. My kids are also on the dance team. It’s like another family. We love how the dance team puts all the rules and costs upfront. There is never any hidden fees that we were not told about. Thank you Susan’s for being a great studio and helping my kids grow over the years.

My children love dancing at this studio ( their home away from home) and we love the staff and Parents. All 3 have been dancing since they were 3, 4 and 5. They have been on the competition team for the last 5/ 6 years. Samantha is a great mentor and coach. She reminds them of the importance of teamwork, timeliness, humility, accountability and their academics. These are all great attributes for a successful life. I couldn't ask for a better instructor. Also for anyone who says this studio is in it for the money. Competitive dance cost money and time. This is why every parent is given a detailed contract specifying the rules and cost. We are to review it with our children and sign it only if we are in agreement.

Thank God I am done with these people!!!! This is by far the worst studio out there!! They do not care at all about the kids....All they care about is money!!! They asked my 5 year old daughter to be apart of their competition dance team and I willingly accepted. I thought it would be a great experience for her......boy, was I ever wrong!!! They first told me it would be an extra $350.00. They didn't tell me about all of the other costs that it entailed(warm up gear, makeup, fake eyelashes, additional costumes...etc)...my daughter missed one practice and the teacher told me that was unacceptable!! I told her fine, it wouldn't happen again! The teacher, Samantha Taylor, sent out an email that said the older girls were going away for a different competition that my daughter wasn't in....so, she made it seem like there would be no practice! Come to find out, there was a practice that no one told me about. She sends me a message and says that my daughter is kicked out of the competition dance team. All the money I put it and to just kick her out like that is disgusting and very unprofessional.....the teacher saw me the day before and she could of told me that she had practice in the morning but didn't. I will let anyone know what they did and how they kicked out a 5 year old and just took there money. Mind you, the instructor and some of the dancers missed practice too and when they did it, it was fine or they cancelled class. My daughter is a minority and I feel like they were prejudice to her!!!! I will NEVER recommend this company, EVER!!!!!!! Way to add confidence in a 5 year old when she's asking "why an I not in competition when i did nothing wrong" yes great job in disappointing a 5 year old little girl..... P.s. To the owner if you feel the need to talk to me you have my number and as far as legal action we can also explore that route as you have slander my name by telling all the other parents my business from your perspective without even hearing both sides I've even had some of the dancers (children ) ask me about what was going on ..not professional at all no need for children to know my business but your right I may seek legal counsel on this and like I said you have my number on file.

I have never in the 14 years my daughter has been dancing here, ever come across anything but wonderful professionalism and love from the staff. Miss Sam has been a mentor to my daughter and couldn't imagine being anywhere else. Alyssa has become such a great dancer and teacher because of this studio. This is an amazing dance school. While not a traditional school, like elementary school, the teachers focus on teaching the little ones how to follow directions. Even at an early age, the children learn about responsibility and accountability. They know to be on time and to show up to class. That sense of accountability fosters a sense of teamwork that shows in the students support of the other students. They back up each other at all times. I have seen my daughter go from a tiny child into a confident and supportive child l. I credit Susan’s for helping on this.
