Dance Louisville WILL become your happy place if you visit! It doesn't matter if you are brand new to dance or have been dancing for years, Dance Louisville offers options for everyone starting right where you are. What an amazing group! I have been dancing with them for three years now of the nine years I have been dancing and I learn something new every time I walk through the door! There are also opportunities to perform and compete that are far more accessible than you might think. Check it out!

I went to the Sunday beginner class three times, twice without a partner and once with a partner. I had a great time all three times. The instructors are very clear and direct in their teaching and very easy to follow. I enjoyed rotating partners because it was fun to meet new people and to have the opportunity to learn to dance with different people. I was nervous about clothing and shoes before my first class, but that turned out to not be an issue. Comfort is all that counts. I hope to go again, if my life permits!

I feel welcomed here. Everyone is friendly and very nice. I came here not knowing anything about ballroom dance. I feel like I have learned so much in a short time. The instructors are good at teaching. They break down the steps and make it easy to learn even with no experience. The beginning classes are great to learn the basics, and I don't need a partner to attend. We rotate partners and get to learn from each other, because we are all beginners. It's fun! I always leave class smiling. And the social dances they host a couple of times per month are great. I get to practice what I learn in class. There are a lot of skill levels from beginner to advanced to absolutely amazing at these dances. I get many chances to dance with a variety of people and learn from them all.

We booked a 10 lesson plan for my daughter and I. It was for our father daughter dance which we incorporated three songs and most of our family in it. It was a blast learning with Kelli! Our dance was a hit at the wedding! Everyone loved it and talked about it the rest of the night! We will be going back to learn other dances too!

Simply Awesome! A friend of mine invited me to check out West Coast Swing lesson at the Dance Louisville once and I was so nervous to try to learn such a hard dance, especially in a new dance studio with people who I didn't know. Nevertheless, I went to the lesson with him and ended up loving the studio, people, instructors, and the dance itself. I highly recommend to check out this place even if you have never danced before! You will love it!

We took dance lessons for our wedding and it was one of the best things we did! The staff was great to work with and helpful! Plus our dance was awesome and so many guests commented on it.

Love Dance Louisville! My wife and I have had several private lessons and we have gone to several group lessons here. I highly recommend Megan. She communicates well and makes learning easy and fun. Emily is great as well, she taught the group lessons. She was very patient, spending time with everyone, making sure we were all comfortable with each step before moving to the next. We cant wait to go back.

I began dancing West Coast Swing with Brian as my instructor about 3 years ago and immediately felt welcome at his studio as a part of his dance family. Not only is Brian incredibly talented as a dancer, but gifted as a teacher as well. He always has a smile on his face and his attitude makes his studio one of the most positive places I have stepped foot into. He is incredibly efficient with the time in our lessons and I see definite improvement with each. Whether you are looking to begin dancing, or drastically advance your moves, Brian and his staff have the talent to accommodate your goals. You will make a whole new group of friends that will encourage you to be the best dancer you can be. Dance Louisville is a one of a kind place that you must experience for yourself to understand the passion and love Brian and his dancers all have for this sport. If you are on the edge and thinking about taking up dancing, I promise this is the place for you!

My son and I have been dancing at Dance Louisville for several years. It is like our second home, and the people there are like family. The instructors are talented dancers, knowledgeable teachers, and wonderful people. If you have ever considered taking ballroom, salsa, or country dance classes give them a call. You will have so much fun!

We took private lessons with Megan at Dance Louisville to learn a surprise swing dance to perform as our first dance at the wedding, and it was such a fun & rewarding experience! If you're looking for a unique bonding opportunity with your fiancé in a fun atmosphere with a supportive instructor, Dance Louisville is a great place to go! (You can even grab a beer next door at the local brewery after your lessons! My husband loved that!) We enjoyed Dance Louisville so much that we plan to keep going back!!

It takes me 45 minutes to drive to this amazing dance studio. But the friendships I've developed and the positive vibes that are always spread throughout the room make it all worth it! Ever since I first set foot in this studio on a cold January morning, I feel like I've found my 2nd home, and a real family of fantastic dancers! I recommend this place to ANYONE!!!! Because you could have literally never danced a day in your life. And a few weeks in this studio will make you feel like you belong on Dancing with the Stars!

Been coming for nearly three months. To the point. Dance Louisville is great. The staff are friendly and experienced, the atmosphere is one of support and encouragement, and the students are good about welcoming and dancing with new people. The pricing packages are great for new students, giving you enough group classes and private lessons to decide which pricing options best fit your dedication and skill level as you progress further. If you are a casual dancer looking for a fun night out, the parties are a great way to spend an evening socializing. If you are an experienced ballroom dancer, there are showcases and competitions to challenge yourself. If you are nervous about your skill level, just bring a good attitude, be willing to practice, and Dance Louisville will help you become a better dancer.

I met Brian (the owner) 3 years ago at an event in Germany, where he was teaching C&W and dance technique. He is such a great dancer and a perfect teacher. This made me curious to see his studio in Louisville, KY. So I decided to plan a stop over on my annual US trips to visit his studio. I really love this place. It makes you feel warm and comfortable. I also took the chance to get private lessons from Megan and you can tell that all the teachers there have a highly qualified education. As I started to love this place I also visited Derby City Swing in 2014, a great event Brian is hosting in Louisville. I knew almost no one there, but the people from Dance Louisville took care of my like a family member! If I would live in the Louisville area, Dance Louisville would be definitely the place to go! I wished a place like that would be around here in Germany!

Dance Louisville is wonderful! The instructors, dancers and staff at Dance Louisville go out of their way to be helpful to new dancers. Everyone is friendly and accepting no matter what level of dance experience that you have. I am so fortunate to have found such an amazing dance studio. Thanks guys!

The only thing I am sorry about is that I did not discover this place sooner. The instructors are knowledgeable and absolutely sweet. The students and staff are very friendly and welcoming to the new comers. I felt right at home the first time I walked into the studio. .I love , Love, Love the group lessons. Not only that I get to be around happy people but also learn and practice my newly acquired dance moves with many of them. I do really enjoy my time there and always leave in a good mood no matter what my day felt like. I am also incredibly happy about my private lessons. BEN, my instructor, is simply AWESOME in every way. His energy and great humor are infective. My time there is time well spent.

Jacob came to the Sr. Center in Oldham County and performed a hula dance for our Luau grand finale! He was such a good sport! He even donned a grass skirt! We so enjoyed him. He tried to teach old dogs new dance steps, even line dancing! He has a warm and wonderful personality. He made the old women feel young again.

Discovered Dance Louisville back in Jan and have made several trips from St Louis to Louisville to work with this awesome team. They are warm and friendly and certainly knows their stuff. Every session makes me want to move there so I could take even more lessons! I plan on being a part of this group in the years to come as I improve my dancing. I recommend them to anyone wanting to learn to dance for fun or competition. They are the best and Louisville is one lucky town to have them there.

Fantastic place! Whether you are a social dancer or competitor, looking for group classes or private lessons, Dance Louisville has something for everyone! The instructors are professional, knowledgeable and caring. And I think what really sets Dance Louisville apart is the welcoming and supportive atmosphere. You can feel it at the studio of course, but it is also evident in the teamwork observed at competitions. If you love to dance, this is the place!

Love this place. Been practicing tango and waltz here since April 2016. It's been so much fun. The instructors are great. Through both group and private lessons I've worked with them all and have enjoyed it very much.

I've been dancing at Dance Louisville for almost 2 months, and I've loved every minute of it. The instructors are so professional, friendly and welcoming, and I have never felt intimidated or afraid to ask questions. I love getting to dance with a group of people who love what they do and make it so much fun!

Although I've only gotten to work with Ben as an instructor so far I've had a wonderful experience. Ben has been patient and very helpful in improving basics and technique across multiple different dances!

I had to travel to Louisville on business for 3 weeks. Dance Louisville made a boring work trip into a fun experience. Brian, Meghan and Emily are so friendly, skilled and professional. I can't recommend this studio enough.

Rich Bassemir

I had the opportunity to visit Dance Louisville while traveling through Kentucky. I had a great time in a private lesson with Emily. Her enthusiasm for dance is infectious and made the experience top shelf. The large dance floor is great for practicing. JoAnn was warm and welcoming helping me schedule my lesson. I see why Dance Louisville is a favorite place to dance. If I move to Louisville this place would be a favorite hang out.

Met my wife here and choreographed our wedding dance here. These are some of the best people you will ever meet in your entire life. Not just random people who you dance with, they will become your friends and you will feel like you're part of a family. This is an amazing place to learn to dance!

Jacob Ebelhar

Dance Louisville is a fantastic place whether just learning to dance or more experienced. The people there have been nothing but friendly and accepting to everyone that walks through the door. If you want to check it out, Thursday night is the BEST with two classes and an open dance after for just $15 a person. I strongly recommend it to anyone interested in doing some dancing

I decided to learn to dance at the beginning of 2012, but I was pretty scared because I had no dance background whatsoever. My first lesson was a West Coast Swing group lesson at Dance Louisville. I knew instantly that Dance Louisville was the place for me. There is a welcoming, family-like atmosphere and even the most nervous new dancers will find themselves enjoying dancing. I am now taking group classes and private lessons at least four days a week, and I think that dancing is one of the best hobbies a person could have.

My wife (fiancee at the time) and I found Dance Louisville online when we decided that we wanted to do something special for our first dance at our wedding. We were pretty nervous, as neither one of us had ever danced before, and we didn't know what to expect. As soon as we entered the studio, we were greeted warmly, and our instructor, Emily, was incredibly kind, patient and talented. We had such a good time learning our first dance that we decided to do a second surprise dance, as well, and both were a huge hit! We were able to learn two completely different dances in about two months, and Emily and the rest of the staff at Dance Louisville were always welcoming and helpful. We've actually started taking lessons there because we had such a good time learning to dance! I would highly recommend Dance Louisville for anyone wanting to learn to dance in an awesome environment with great people.

Rachael Parrill

Hands down the most wonderful place to learn social dancing in town! I have always wanted to learn how to swing dance since college, and it was a bit intimidating and out of my comfort zone to try to learn this skill at a new place with new people. From my very first day of class, the instructors and all of the other students were so supportive and patient, I didn't feel out of place one bit! The Dance Louisville community is truly a family, and I felt like a part of this family from day one. Come see for yourself - you won't regret it!

I never felt stranger here, not on a 1st day. Group classes are awesome. So happy to be a part of Dance Louisville family, my dance family :).

This is a nice place to learn basic ballroom dance. I have been there several times. Some instructors and some staff were nice. I was kind of scary when I was there at the first class. Then I feel more comfortable. You don’t need bring a partner to a class. If you have your own dance partner, it will be better for social dance events there. Otherwise you may just sit there and watch others dance.

We have truly enjoyed our time at Dance Louisville. Ben, Kelli, and Emily have been so much fun to learn from and even talked us into dancing in the showcase! Such a great time, we always look forward to coming to Dance Louisville.

I started going to dance Louisville about 4 or 5 yrs ago out of the 7 yrs I have been dancing. It has undergone some big changes over the last few years but it still remains a great place to dance and meet new, fun, and friendly people. I am very happy to call Dance Louisville my Dance home :)

Jennifer Geroski

My Dad invited me to try ballroom dancing with him a little over a year ago. I had never taken any formal dance lessons in my life and only went to support him. Since that first day at Dance Louisville, I have taken lessons in Rumba, Fox Trot, Waltz, East Coast Swing, Night Club, Salsa, Bachata, Two step, Tango, Cha Cha. and West Coast Swing. I have made connections with people on a friendly fun level and on a deeply personal level. I had almost stopped living life, but dance and the Dance Louisville Staff have been a part of my personal journey. I've lost weight, gotten out of my comfort zone and most importantly, I'm having fun! Brian. Kelly, Megan, David, Michelle, and so many more are professional dancers/instructors that enjoy what they do, but mostly, they enjoy people. They keep me coming back for more. If you are looking for a place to start living life, or if you are already a dancer looking for a new dancing home... You WILL find what you are looking for at Dance Louisville.

I wanted to improve my 2 step skills and meet new people. So, I joined the 2 step team, which consisted of an 8 week class with 15 other dancers. Mission accomplished, met some great people, and danced a great routine at the studio winter showcase, which was well attended. I had a blast. Thanks Emily and Megan! Super job and i will see you on the dance floor again soon. Ray Frye.

A friend recommended Dance Louisville to me about a year ago. I never in a million years thought I would be dancing, but I gave it shot. It's a great atmosphere, great escape, the people are awesome, I'm learning something new and different, and it's a lot of fun. Never a disappointing experience. I'm hooked.

Kathy Osburn

Great instructors, lots of fun

After watching a few YouTube videos I decided I wanted to give west coast swing a try. In February, I found Dance Louisville. From the moment I entered the door I was greeted with enthusiasm that actually made me feel at home and welcomed. 5 months later, I go several times a week, take private lessons, and attend all events possible. The instructors are absolutely fabulous, knowledgeable, understanding, caring, and in general great people. The students are supportive of beginners. I highly recommend dance and Dance Louisville.

Paige Wills

The atmosphere is warm and inviting. You don't have to know any ballroom dancing before you walk through the doors. The classes teach basic steps so you can learn at your own pace. The group classes are priced very reasonably. If you are looking to learn how to dance, de-stress, and exercise some, I would highly suggest coming out to Dance Louisville for a class! But be warned...once you come in, you may never want to leave! :-)

For the past 10 years, I’ve been taking dance lessons from Superstar Brian. That reflects the joy and growth I've felt at Dance Louisville. Leery at first about taking lessons with a world-class champion, I soon discovered that Brian's excellence translated into the clearest, most enjoyable dance lessons. Absolute Fun! My two left feet were whipped into shape, and by golly, I can dance! All the instructors bring that joy of dancing, clear-cut instructions, and genuine care of students into each lesson. Much more than learning a new social skill, I've gained lasting friendships, confidence, and poise - all while having the time of my life. If you've ever wanted to learn how to dance, this is the place to feel nurtured.

I LOVE DANCE LOUISVILLE! Everyone here is so warm and welcoming with a special shout out to my instructor Spencer! I started dance lessons 6 years ago to rehab after knee surgery and ended up continuing just for the pure joy of it. I've tried several studios around town and landed at Dance Louisville 3 months ago (the free dance lesson got my attention!) and it is by far my favorite - I think I've found my new dance home. Do Yourself a favor and give Dance Louisville a try!!

Terri Donner

I like taking lessons at Dance Louisville because the instructors are so friendly and professional. I also like accessing West Coast Swing Online to practice and learn new steps while out of town.

Ben Howard

From amazing instructors to a fun atmosphere; Dance Louisville has everything you could ask for in a studio and more! Dedicated competitive dancers as well as social dancers of all levels, an energetic group that goes to competitions throughout the country, and enthusiastic instructors ensure that your time at Dance Louisville will not be spent simply learning how to dance, but making memories that will last the rest of your life!

This is such a great place. Everyone is welcoming and friendly. No matter where you come from or your skill, you are welcomed here. They treat you better than family.

I first started with Dance Louisville almost 10 years ago as a 15 year old. I've literally grown up around, Brian, the teachers and dancers at Dance Louisville. I'm 25 now and have a passion for helping more people get involved in dancing. There are several nice studios in town (some not so nice) but there is a reason that Dance Louisville is 'Louisville's favorite dance studio'

Lora Clark

Dance Louisville is a great place to dance, learn to dance and socialize. They have people from all walks of life. They will teach you what you want to learn, not a cookie cutter type studio like others. Louisville is very lucky to have this caliber Dance Studio!

Anuya Joshi

Ballroom beginners or enjoy to perform at competition - this is good place to start. Learning and implementing ideas is key feature for this studio, dedication from Instructors towards recognizing and evolving student(s) dancing skills is appreciative.

Amelia Longo

I've had a lot of fun in the group classes. You can learn to dance in no time, and they are a great value!

Nancy Morton

Dance Louisville is my favorite place to go for dance lessons, friendship and fun. I have been going there since Feb. 2016 and hate to miss a lesson. Stop by the classes on Sunday afternoon at 4pm. Hope to see you there.

Edie Butler

I love this dance studio! I've been taking lessons for a few months and look forward to many more! The staff is professional and very friendly. From the moment you first call, you feel welcome and as if they are happy to have you join their dance studio family. I cannot say enough good things about how awesome the instructors are. All of them have been helpful and very encouraging and I have to say that Megan Anderson has taught me so much in our private lessons as well as helping me feel as if I can learn anything I try! Thank you all!

Dennis Riggs

Signed up for 4 beginners lessons and have already signed up for more! Emily, Spencer and the team are very knowledgeable; and also extremely patient while ensuring that all are having fun!

I started taking lessons at Dance Louisville about 2 years ago. I live an hour and a half from the studio but I couldn't imagine going anywhere else. I began taking both group and private lessons. They offer great instruction and a wonderful atmosphere. After my first class, I was hooked. I began to perform at the summer and winter showcases, which are always a highlight of the year for me. Dance Louisville has so much to offer. I have never loved dance this much! Dance Louisville is truly the studio of my dreams.

Brianna Harper

My husband and I worked with Kelli and she did such a great job! Waiting for the pictures!

I have been dancing and taking lessons at Dance Louisville for just over a year. When my former dance teacher unexpectedly passed away in the middle of a competitive dance season, and right before the world competition - I needed someone who could step in and pick up the reins quickly. I also needed someone who could help me progress in both competitive dance and social dance. Brian Barakauskas (and Dance Louisville) was my choice and I'm so grateful that he accepted me as his student. In the year that I have been taking lessons from Brian, I have learned so much and my dancing has progressed significantly. Not only am I learning to dance well, both competitively and socially, I have made so many friends at Dance Louisville. They are truly my dance family. The studio atmosphere is so warm and friendly - everyone goes out of their way to make sure newcomers feel welcome and encouraged. Whenever anyone asks me where they should take dance lessons - Dance Louisville is my recommendation. Hands. Down. Brenda

Chrissy Kongshaug

First place I really felt comfortable dancing! The instructors are great and the environment is very friendly. The group lessons are broken down step by step so even a novice like myself can catch on!

Jon Steimel

My wife and I took a group date night class and learned the tango. It was a fun environment and the instruction was great! Thanks for an awesome night out!
