This is our 2nd year and added more classes since last year was such a success. My daughter loves the instructors and everyone is so nice and friendly. The Holiday show and end of year themed performances are top notch, well orchestrated and planned. There are class times that would suit any busy family. The classes teach not only great dance moves and proper technique, but respect, discipline and are a lot of fun! So, get off the ipads and dance with us! :-)

You can really see the progression from their first dance as little ones to where they are now. The front office staff is always helpful with any billing needs or questions. Let's just say that the dance education at CDA is sub par, but I wouldn't have know any different if I didn't go try another studio. Prices are high for the quality of the studio. I as a parent, prefer quality over quantity. Not personal unless you are in company.

this studio is a joke. the owner is EXTREMELY rude and if you are not one of her favorites, let alone any of the teacher's favorites you are treated so differently, it is actually funny how obvious it is. their company programs are a joke. i danced at CDA for two years, and I dont mean to brag, but I was better at dancing than 85% of all the company girls. the funny thing though was that i never got the chance to shine because i was always shoved in the back, etc. PLEASE- if you are looking for a professional, and friendly dance studio where you can improve and excel in your dancing skills, do NOT go here!

My kids just started there this fall, I have a boy and girl, ages 5 and 2. My son has special needs and they have a Special Needs class but it wasn’t being offered this fall due to low enrollment. They said I could put him in another class and the first couple classes did not go well, he didn’t seem to understand or able to follow but both teachers were super patient and he seems to be getting better! My daughter absolutely loves it. So far it’s been smooth sailing and all the staff are nice. I hope everything continues this way!

This was my daughter's first year at CDA - and I have to admit I was impressed. She learned a tremendous amount in only one year and as a middle school dancer, it was hard for her to jump in with much more experienced dancers. The staff and instructors were very accomodating and made her feel very welcome. As a Dad, I dreaded sitting through the performances - but was pleasantly surprised as I found myself enjoying each piece of music and each age group as they performed for the crowd. It was a very organized event and I couldn't be happier with the studio and the events they have throughout the season. I would recommend this studio to anyone who is interested in a super fun and family friendly environment for their children. They even had boy hip hop dancers in the show - it was fantastic!

CDA has been my second home for about 15 years now. Never once have I thought about switching or leaving and here's why: The teachers are dedicated. While they are busy with children and families at home, they still show up every week to teach us how to become better dancers. Speaking from experience, without the instruction of my teachers at CDA I wouldn't be where I am today. Also, this place is more than a facility that teaches dance.. they have taught me respect, responsibility, commitment, and allowed me to be social amongst a weighty dance schedule. As a high school student, it can be oh so difficult to balance school and dancing, but I am so so thankful to be dancing within an environment where they are willing to accommodate to my needs outside of the studio. At CDA they understand that school and dance requires a balance and more than anything that has been one of the key factors I have appreciated over the years. I have also met so many incredible friends that I will never lose touch with.. Sometimes friendships can be caught up in the dance world and competition gets the best of you, but at CDA they try their best to allow us bonding experiences and encourage us to become more than just dancers alongside one another but a true family. Finally, I feel CDA has overall made me the well rounded dancer I have become. Picture a shy, short child with unseen potential who in the 1st grade would've never thought she'd me taking the stage so often yet was transformed through growing up at CDA. My love and passion for dance has grown and spread and I have even been inspired to start a company of my own within my school to exemplify how dance has changed my life. No child will have the same experience at CDA and that's just like any studio, any situation. But if you are looking for a reliable source to give a recommendation, you will not regret sending your child to CDA under the wings of Niki and crew. Whether dance becomes their life long passion or they just want a fun and inviting hobby, CDA is a place where I personally feel they can grow for the better.

My daughters have been dancing at CDA for a total of 6 years and I can't imagine being anywhere else. We are very happy and the performances are fantastic-very professional! Any small issue I've had has been promptly taken care of so I'm not sure why anyone would have anything negative to say. If you want your dancer to thrive and love to dance while you feel confident that they are being well taken care of, then this is the place!

My daughter tried 2 yrs there and ended up hating dancing with a studio when she really loves to dance. If you didnt pay money for 3 to 4 classes to be in the Elite group then your child was just a number. They favored the elite kids and parents. The rest was just whatever. I also had to send an e-mail to them questioning some behavior done by the teacher in her room. I regret using them and will find another studio next to around. No way will I ever use them again. I recommend other studios

Cumming Dance Academy is a wonderful studio with two locations with a third opening in Dawsonville early next year which makes for more students and space. They offer all types of dance from ballet to jazz to hip hop. The teachers are friendly and very professional. They put on two performances; on the the winter and one in the summer. When you walk in you are welcomed by very nice workers and always helpful.

CDA is all around wonderful!! Very Professional; Quality, Organized, and still have a "Family" sense. My daughter took dance from Ms Amber, and loved it; but unfortunately had to take a short break. She just came back this year. She was a little nervous, afraid that it may have changed, as well as for going to be with a new teacher. She quickly (1st night) overcame all of that, and has loved her instructor Ms Lindsey N, and every class since. Plan to be with CDA for a very long time.

If you want your daughter to have a good dance experience, stay away from this studio. First of all, if you aren't in company, this studio treats you as you are nothing. My child is in the junior level and she gets treated SO differently than the company girls do. The company members pay more to be able to say "I'm in company" which is fine. But during the regular instructional classes with both company and non-company girls, all students should be treated equally in that one hour because they all pay the same for that one hour of class. It doesn't work that way at CDA. If you are in company, you are in the front. You get the special parts. You get the better, prettier, less worn costumes. You get plastered all over social media. I follow CDA on all social media because being a parent, I want to know what's going on in the studio. All I ever see is company girls. If there is a company girl's birthday, CDA posts a whole post about them. On Facebook, the only pictures from the holiday shows are little babies and company girls. What about all the girls that put money in Niki (the owners) pocket?? They get treated like nothing and it is really very sad. I noticed in the shows that there is one girl (looks like she's in high school) that is in the front of EVERY company dance. It's crazy. Share the stage. I also notice that in the bows at the end of the shows, every child bows normally then at the end, company girls come out and do something special to draw attention to themselves. And it's obviously very awkward for the girls in the back that had to bow normally. It is very sad to see a studio that started out loving every one of their dancers the same has turned into a studio that only cares about money. If you don't plan on paying big money for your child to be in company, chose a different studio.

We are seriously considering switching dance schools. The teachers are wonderful, but CDA has become way too expensive for the experience. Fees are charged for just about everything and now the studio is making it extremely difficult for family members to come to the end of year recitals. Our girls love to perform for their family and take pride in practicing all year for that moment. Very discouraged that the business side of the school is ruining the experience.

More parking would be nice as often there arent oarking spaces but somehow we make it work. Love the electronic updates and reminders that we get for tuition and deadlines. Hands down, best studio around. The staff is always welcoming and friendly! Alice in the front is always willing to help the parents and students. We love the teachers, studio, and all of our new friends we have made there. Parking can be tricky in the afternoons but we usually drop off and go. I cannot say enough good things about our experiences with CDA .

My daughter started at CDA 8 years ago and has grown not only as a dancer but personally as well. The teachers have taken interest in her passions and ignited them. The skills she learned at CDA have parlayed nicely into her work at school and at home--she's willingly taken on leadership roles, danced solo in school performances, and will discuss how dance requires personal character traits as well as athleticism with community members, and she's not out of elementary school! I credit CDA as helping her to realize how she can use dance to express herself when she might otherwise stand shyly. For example, for her school's talent show, she choreographed her own number and danced to Sara Bareilles's Brave--imparting to her peers that communication requires bravery and can take shape in many formats. She found this wisdom and personal courage through the careful, purposeful instruction at CDA. The arts in any form stand importantly to her, and CDA recognizes that within her and has gone "above and beyond" to encourage her and partner with me as a parent in helping her grow. I'd definitely recommend this studio!

While we loved Ms. Stacy and thought she did a great job with our daughter, Cumming Dance Academy uses any opportunity to cancel as many classes as possible and charge the most amount of money, very disappointing. They follow whatever calendar suits them at the time. There have been at least 2 months where my daughter has only attended 1-2 classes for the month (because of classes cancelled by them) and you of course are still charged the full amount. I feel incredibly ripped off by this place and would never recommend them to anyone. For the amount of money you will pay, you can find the same type of class just down the street.

From 2 onwards, they have specialized classes and patient, yet talented teachers to help get the kids excited and learn so much. I would recommend this place to all.

Coming from a student who used to dance at CDA for 11 years, I have never been more upset to say that this studio has made me go home and question if I wanted to keep dancing. The teachers are great, but if you are not in company you're nothing, which is sad because CDA has girls that aren't in company that have so much potential. I started dancing at CDA when I was 5 and was invited to join company in middle school and had to decline because my parents couldn't afford to pay for company. When I came back to dance in regular classes, it was obvious the treatment was completely different. The favoritism is obvious and if you really want your child, to really learn and excel at dance, I wouldn't recommend CDA.
