We love Northstar. This is my daughter's 8th year here and she has grown and learned so much with the help of the director, staff and fellow dancers. My family has had the pleasure of being involved with Northstar for more than 10 years. All three of my daughters have danced here, two of them for at least 10 years, one of whom has gone on to teach here. We have found the atmosphere to be very positive, and really enjoyed having our children compete on a team where good sportsmanship and team support were emphasized over winning. Really grateful for the role that the staff here have played in my children's' upbringing and know that the the lessons they have learned here will help them throughout their lives.

I am a student at Northstar dance academy and love it here. This studio is very positive, very kid friendly, and the owner would never use any inapropriate moves, costumes, or music. If you are looking for a place to dance this is definitely the place to go.

Northstar is like a second home. The staff is friendly and very talented, check out the company website to see the staff and their professional bios, virtually every teacher here has professional dance careers. My daughter has been dancing with Northstar for several years for recreational dance and is in her fifth year competing. I’ve seen more people come to the studio than I have seen leave (well aside from those who graduate!) From my time here, I have also seen dancers graduate into dance careers, Northstar is the perfect place to learn, express and have fun.

The classes focus on proper technique, while still having fun. My girls have thrived at Northstar. They have learned about respect and teamwork and have developed some of their closest friendships. Rachel's post is unfortunately very accurate and most people who have left Northstar don't say anything in fear of the cyber bulling that will follow. I'm trying to post what really goes on here...but it's hard knowing the back lash that will follow. So here is what I will say, if you are looking for a quality studio please just take this into account: The owner has never had a professional dance career, and does not have any formal training (unless you count high school). All of the teachers besides one are just teen students who also have no formal training. There are quality studios in the area, don't waste your time with a place that claims to be a family atmosphere.

I had so much fun here and learned a lot, it's a very comfortable yet challenging environment and I progressed and improved very quickly in my lyrical class. My brother and sister also took classes and it was fun for the whole family. I left due to so much schoolwork this year, but I've decided to go back because I miss it so much
