Owned and operated by the creative and talented Herman brothers, this gorgeous facility includes 3 studios with state of the art flooring, lighting and sound systems, and a large reception area and lounge. Over 40 classes a week are offered in a wide variety of styles, are always fun, energetic and current, in an atmosphere that is relaxed, friendly and hip. The facility is perfect for all types of events including birthday parties, bar/bat mitzvahs, corporate events, showers and receptions.

I never write reviews but DUDS is the best thing to come into my life in a long time. I first discovered this gem when my daughter was there for a friend’s birthday party. I was so impressed with the entire staff - how well organized they were, how they gave their all to every kid at this party - but mostly their infectious energy. About a year ago I started adult hip hop classes - I was hooked from the first class. I’m not a trained dancer and have only danced socially - these teachers have not only taught me about dance but how to really listen to music, how to feel the music & dance in my soul and as one of the owners said, “don’t worry about the steps, give it your all, step outside the box you create and let your soul be free.” The teachers guide you out of your comfort zone and guide while inspiring you and accepting wherever you are. There is NO judgement at all at this studio - from teachers or dancers. The owners Paul & Brian have created way more than a dance studio - they have created a community of diverse dancers and teachers who keep going back to Double Up as much as we can because we feel inspired, happy, accepted and part of a 2nd family. I can’t describe in words how it feels to take classes at Double Up- just go and experience it for yourself.

I would give this studio less than 1 star if I could. We recently moved to the area and my daughter was eager to find a new studio. She found a hip hop class online and signed up paying the $22 fee. We showed up for the class to the studio completely torn apart. We were told it was being fixed from some water damage and that we would be contacted and fully refunded. The fact that the studio never contacted us about this prior to us showing up is the first sign of a bad business. And we have yet to receive any refund and no one returns my many calls concerning the matter. What an awful way to handle a prospective new student.

I absolutely love this studio, the owners + staff, the energy and the overall vibe. Also perfect spot to book for parties/events...they do a fantastic job! Truly a rare gem outside of NYC.
