Buyer Beware. Paid in Full and Ordered a Mother of the Bride Dress back in March and was told 2-4 months. After numerous calling from July-Sept. still without my Dress. Dress arrived in October exactly 1 week before Daughter's Wedding. Rushed Alterations and Dress Still Did Not Fit Right. Added Stress and Very Disappointed.

I would give it 5 stars for my dress selection. I'm giving it 3 for the customer service. I do not write reviews but I have started to rely on reviews. I found this place through my bridesmaid who found her dress here. I loved my dress and I got so many compliments on it. I was very disappointed with alternations. I felt like they really pushed their alternations person on me. Please keep in mind that she was a very super sweet woman. The belt was only sewn in four areas so it puckered and it was actually sewn down into the dress to where we had to cut it. I arrived an hour early on a Friday a week before my wedding. I felt like they had already got my money so they didn't care. A young girl helped me get my dress on and off and the main lady was out there briefly. I sent an email later to share my frustrations after I had to take my dress to my local seamstress. I spent $75 at their seamstress with another $80 at my local. She had to fix my belt, replace a popped off button, fix the bustle because it was dragging the ground since it was down too low, the bra cups were not properly sewn in to give me any kind of support so she had to fix those. I NEVER complain. I always just go about it and think oh well. But I couldn't just let this go after all the money I had spent. I got an email saying they forwarded it on to their seamstress and they ignored the fact that their customer service that day was shotty at best. She later responded that I was right and wanted to know what they could do to make it right. I responded after my wedding and said that it wasn't really up to me. I would love to know what they could do to make it right. I don't like to complain and had I not spent so much money, I wouldn't have. I never heard from them again. I love my dress. I would wear around the house every day if I could. I am sorely disappointed with the customer service. I would recommend saying up front that you will be using your own seamstress if you know someone.

The service here is superb! All the ladies treat you with the upmost respect and help vision the perfect dress for you. Prices are very resonable and they have good selection to choose from. I said yes to my wedding dress within 15 minutes! Definitely a 5 star place!

I went Saturday 01/06/2018 to try on dresses for my June wedding. I worked with Nicky (I'm pretty sure that's her name) and she was amazing! She pulled all the dresses i wanted to see and even some She thought would be good. My 5th dress was the ONE, and she let me try on others just to make sure. Everyone there was so nice and friendly, I enjoyed my experience! Then only issue I had was I wish they had larger fitting rooms, but that's not a HUGE deal to me and didn't change my mind on my experience. Their dresses are very well priced too! Mine was less than $800!

Terrible customer service! I was told that before I went but decided to try it anyways. We walked in to look at flower girl and bridesmaid dresses on a Tuesday so we were the only customers in the shop. The lady turned her nose up and asked me twice what color I wanted the dress for the flower girl because apparently it wasn't something she liked. We decided to look around at the dresses and she followed us around then sat there in the middle of the room staring at us like we were going to steal something, no conversation, NOTHING. Weird owners, non personable, not the type of people I would trust with my special day that's for sure!

I always wanted to get a dress from here I finally did but wasn't impressed with how things were handled. The wedding I was in was in September we picked the dresses out in February didn't get the dresses till a week before the wedding. There was no apologies about the dresses being late just when they dropped them off to me it was here is your dress it's your problem now. When I took it to go and get altered it had to be rushed and the dress didnt fit right at all.

My daughter contacted the Barn to see about ordering a dress. The employee that answered the phone was extremely rude...then got the supervisor who wasn't any better and hung up on her. I've been to the barn several times but haven't experienced great service, The employees don't usually bother to ask if I need assistance. I've bought from there before but there selection isn't that great and I won't be giving them any more of my money. Customers are the income source for all businesses and they should be glad they still have one. Very disappointing.

(Prom) The rating was a difficult choice because once the alterations were done the dress looked amazing on my niece. I will say that for plus size women the dress selection becomes limited and/or more meh than awe. The staff were very patient, friendly and helpful which played a major role in my rating. I wish this dress shop could hire or even outsource a few seamstress therefore it's a one and done. There's alot of shops in purcellville with an amazing dress selection in all sizes (found out after I purchased her dress) that will do it all in one.

So grateful to have found this place I found the most amazing dress but the best part was that this is a family run business by a beautiful matriarch named Mouse with the help of her daughter Nikki and daughter in law Sara ( hope that’s the right). Never. Again. Never will I give this place my business, and if I'm forced to be a part of a bridal party who orders from here, I'll bow out gracefully. My sister-in-law had such an ordeal from timing of the order of our dresses, to the fit when they finally arrived. The staff insisted we be measured there, and someone obviously doesn't know what she's doing because only one dress out of 5 for correctly, or even close to what it should've. If the woman would've went with measurements my mother completed, my dress would've actually let me breathe and bend over and sit - and those things couldn't even be completed woth Spanx on - I'd hate to think of what would've happened if I hadn't had those underneath. Dresses were ordered for a March wedding in November and arrived with a week to go before the ceremony, leaving no times for alterations of any sort to be done. What really did me in was when I was given a dress to wear in a wedding that cost me over $200.00 and it was NOT even steamed. Are you kidding me?!? So after it was all said and done, I had to take my dress to the cleaners to have all the shipping wrinkles taken out and pay an additional fee for such. Poor service, poor measuring for fit. Avoid this place at all costs.

With 7.5 months until our wedding, we recognize we’re “cutting it close” in the wedding gown world. I’ve been to several other bridal salons and found SEVERAL suitable dresses in my budget, but have still been wanting to explore options. I thought The Barn might be a good option, but I was clearly wrong. As a size 6 bridal, I set my budget for a dress at $650, knowing that most bridal salons only stock 10s and 12s in their discounted sample section, and any “off the rack” dress will need major alterations. Diane, the extremely rude and condescending clerk I spoke with on the phone, scoffed at this budget. She repeatedly called me “sweetie,” belittled me, and insisted that for the style of dress I’m looking for (lace, with an illusion back) I’d definitely have to increase my budget. (She’s wrong, because I’ve found plenty of dresses I like elsewhere. Perhaps this shop is just overpriced) She also informed me that the majority of their dresses at their store are only stocked in 12s and 14s and that she probably would not be able to order a dress in time for our wedding. She said she might have ONE dress in the store in my budget range. When I asked if she could send a picture of it, she responded “oh sweetie, no, we’re way too busy for that.” Then she asked if I wanted to make an appointment to look around anyway to which I responded, “no, that’s okay. I’ve been to several other places and found lots of dresses in my budget. If you don’t think you have anything, I don’t need to come in. Thank you, though” And she just HUNG UP! I’m glad I called before wasting my time going here. Brides beware, if you have a budget or want to be treated with kindness, don’t go to The Barn in WV.

Extremely helpful and such a good experience! This was the 1st and only place I went looking for my wedding dress. After trying on 3 dresses we found it! They work with you to find the style of dresses you like along with being very helpful about what looks the best on you style wise. Definitely going back for all of my brides maid dresses and flower girl dress. I recommend this place to all of my friends getting married .

My mother and I went into The Barn on a whim to look for my wedding dress. We walked in and got treated as if we rented the entire place out. The ladies and their services were so helpful, they did not even let me hold dresses that I wanted to try on! They let me pull as many dresses as I wanted. While I was trying them on, the girl helping us was so involved, it was great. The seamstress peaked her head out of their back room and suggested I try on a beautiful gown that was one on display. That dress ended up being "the one." I already had chosen my wedding "colors," but upon buying this Ivory gown with a Gold underlay, I had to change every single color. Sue's daughter (Can't remember her name) got out all of the fabric swabs, all colors, and worked with me until I had figured out all of the colors that looked best with my gown. Needless to say, I've placed an order for my wedding dress, ten bridesmaid dresses, and ten tuxedos. I brought back at least five bridesmaids for their dresses, never once having an appointment, and left happy. If you do not go into this small shop acting entitled, you can get over the windows of waiting time that are inevitable. It's a beautiful place with great women. MUCH better then David's Bridal (as far as wedding gowns go!) Love these ladies. Can't wait to send them pictures from the wedding. The Barn dressed our entire wedding party!

I just wanted to let everyone know what a wonderful place this is! My fiancee and I are paying for our entire wedding ourselves and so are on a very tight budget. We had been shopping at numerous other stores and had not been treated well because we didn't have as much money to spend on a gown as other people. My fiancee was left feeling frustrated and in tears on more than one occasion. Until we came to the barn! What an awesome experience! When our consultant, Diane, asked us our budget, not only did she not look down her nose at us, but proceeded to treat my fiancee like a princess and gave her the same attention as all the other brides in the store. Not only she find her dream gown, but had a wonderful time working with Diane as well as all the other staff members in the store. I can't thank the ladies there for taking such good care of my fiancee and me and making us feel like we were the only customers in the place. Believe me when I say that customer service like this is hard to find. My fiancee and I know because we shopped around at lots of stores before we found the barn. If you are getting married, I highly recommend this establishment.

I contacted the Barn just to see if they had a dress in stock that I had found at another boutique in Leesburg. Later I ended up making an appointment for their Black Friday sale, and they actually held the dress in the back for me without me even asking them too! I arrive and they instantly remembered I had been emailing weeks earlier and grab the dress from the back. I tried on about 7 dresses and the consultants were so helpful and nice. Ultimately I ended up with the dress I had came for, and everyone was so nice and helpful! I had been to 5 other places before and hands down they were one of the nicest and most attentive. I highly recommend them!
