Patagonia corporate has lost its mind. Patagonia said last week it was keeping new orders of the torso-hugging showpieces reserved for “mission-driven companies that prioritize the planet.” That excludes oil companies, mine operators and other outfits deemed ecologically damaging, one certified Patagonia seller said. Without oil you wouldn’t have anything to put in your store, people couldn’t get to work, the world would stop tomorrow. Without mines you wouldn’t have anything either.
Loved the location, nice selection of certain items less in other areas but overall a good store.
Amazing experience with Patagonia products and customer service. Some one bought a pair of shoes for me, which I used aggressively. They weren't not designed for that level of use and began to break down. They was designed for more casual use. Anyway I brought the shoes back, and the sales associate gave me a gift card for the purchase price.
Stellar customer service
Cute store, charming building and location, small with limited selection. Good luck finding easy parking. It works more like an advertisement than a bona-fide retail store, but then again g-town is more about experience than practicality.
Always a most pleasant experience! Best customer service in DC
Patagonia's DC store. Excellent service. Selection not as big as on the web, but a great place to check out Patagonia gear.
Awesome outdoor store with a wide selection of goods. The staff is very friendly and very knowledgeable of the products. Great location and very nice inside.
Patagonia is my go to store for quality sport clothing, and in my case running clothing. Got some shirts to keep me warm in autumn. Patagonia is a little more expensive than North face down the road, but with it comes quality and excellent service, even when things have been worn a while; they take their quality serious.
Super pricey, but you get what you pay for. Staff is helpful. I do wish they had a better selection of colors.
They found things in inventory that weren't on shelves and then they did a price match which was very ok. Outdoor & tech knowlegeable staff; they know their inventory and customer service. Thanks and come again.
The new store is great and there is a fantastic sale going on now....
Decent selection that is updated regularly and the staff is very firendly.
Very nice customer service.
Yeah it's pricy but their stuff is a whole another class than what you usually find. The store appears small but you can find pretty much any patagonia product or have it ordered.
This store was well decorated and the service was really helpful
Patgonia offers great clothing for active people. It's clothing is sustainable and very fit for purpose. The store is got a good selection and helpful staff. My wife and I had bought windbreaks a dozen years ago from a different Patagonia store. We asked them for some maintainance advice instead they replace our jackets for free. Wow.
Really good staff -- eager to do help, even to do repairs. Patagonia products are mostly well-designed and very durable.
Big showroom with 2 floors. Has wonderful selections of items. Also pet friendly!
They didn't have items I was looking for so they offered to two day delivery. Some of the staff were more knowledgeable than others but tried really hard to take care of us and asked others if they didn't know the answer. The following week I had to go back to return some items and this visit was really unpleasant. Emmet was the cashier and your weakest link in your store. He neither greeted or acknowledged me except to nod his head although he greeted the person before me and after me. It just went down hill from there.
Patagonia has some of the best clothes, but the store men's selection is limited. I will probably order from their website next time to have access to the entire catalog.
Great standards! I had an issue with product purchased at different location, but was running late to DC store to exchange - I called ahead and store let me in 5 minutes after closing to resolve issue. Great, accommodating staff! // Only issue is map location was different from physical address.
Staff is wonderful - friendly and helpful
A lot of good stuff you should buy
Worn Wear trade in. Awesome staff...
Good store. Wish they had more of what's on the site though.
Really nice clothing is sold here. I just want to fit in with all the cool kids (Chad, Thad, and Brad) and be more modern so I come for the quarter zip jackets. Both of my jackets purchased here have very convenient zippers and are sure to …
friendly helpuf staff, great company ethics
Good selection of products and helpful staff. Love Patagonia's stuff. Lot of car traffic at this location though. Street parking with meters is a must.
Overpriced garbage. I just don't understand why people would pay good money for junk. Who really buys organic clothing? $50 for a tee shirt that's called "organic" give me a break. Not worth the money, what I bought fell apart fairly quickly.
Service is the Paramount concern, if you want to be taken care of like your royalty then this is your outdoor store. Yes it's expensive if you just look at the tag, but if anything short of you ripping it, or wearing through they will repaire or replaced it. The only item I've managed to wear out was a pair of shoes and if i took them back they would have probably fixed them! In this day and age it is how you feel about a place you have been that keeps you coming back, I always look Forward to my next experience at Patagonian!
A little happy place of happy people and happy gear. Selection isn't enormous, but the quality of the stuff and the staff make up for it.
AMAZING SALES STAFF every area of the store is staffed with very knowledgeable staff, ready to help you at moments notice.
Great version of this store chain. Best selection and free samples of their upcoming food line.
The best customer service and you don’t even have to explain yourself three times! A quality staff who are happy to help you. The store front is a bit understated that it’s a little hard to find, so make sure you don’t pass it by...like I …
Excellent selection of items in a clean and well designed space. Wonderful employees and service.
Exceptional customer service!!!
Very friendly and helpful staff
Love the customer service for this store. Ordered a jacket due to there outstanding service.
Just got fantastic service over the phone from a Patagonia team member named Megan. Thank you for your help!
Patagonia doesn't need to advertise much to keep growing, and the quality of their gear and customer service really shows why. I bought a late model Snow-shot 3-in-1 jacket from REI on a deep discount, which was the last one they had across their entire inventory, but it was too small. REI had no more jackets to exchange for it, and I couldn't find one in the right size on Patagonia's website either, so I took it into Patagonia's store in Georgetown to see what they would recommend. Within minutes, they took my ill fitting jacket, found the only one in their entire inventory that was still in stock in my size (in a retail store in CA), called that store to confirm, arranged for it to be shipped directly to my home the next day, and issued me a gift card because somehow the jacket I returned was worth more than the brand new jacket they were sending me... It really felt like a marvel of modern logistics and customer service at work right in front of me. I was already drinking the Patagonia cool-aid well before this experience, but now I am a decided convert, and I always look to see if Patagonia makes it first before I buy anything - their organization is a model of how do business. I also checked out their worn-wear online store, which is a very cool concept for reducing the impact that virgin materials manufacturing has on the environment, and I think they are well ahead of the curve in that regard.
So I had an old rain jacket which I really loved but it was no longer keeping water out. I brought it in hoping to repair it and was totally willing to pay for the repair process I knew that the jacket style was no longer in production but like I said I really loved it. The staff was super great and told me they would swap it out for another jacket. I was doubtful that I could like anything as much as I liked that previous one but gave a look around. I ended up finding Ken that I liked more as it was much more minimalist, and smaller to pack down. When I went to exchange it I found out the new jacket was actually less expensive so I had a $10 store credit. I went and found some performance wash and still had a $1.35 left over which thy gave me in cash. I seriously felt like I just stole from them. I live in annapolis but will always come back based on my experience. Oh yeah everyone was so friendly and competent and made me want to do more business.
Pretty cool, not as big as the NY stores, but very friendly people. I like their patagonia stickers.
Cool little store with friendly staff.
I am very pleased with the customer service of Patagonia and this store in particular. After 30+ countries, my favorite backpack began to rip at the seams. Mark took care of the issue by replacing it with a new pack. Thanks again Patagonia for standing behind your products!
New store is nice and has some great products. The staff was helpful. Although I liked the old location better, this location provides better vision for passerby as well as some much needed space that was lacking before.
Great store...excellent selection of their clothing, outerwear and gear. Helpful, friendly staff.
Friendly and very helpful staff... Got some board shorts and they rock
Great store with a great layout. Staff was helpful with needs and even have a sit down area with books to keep kids entertained for a short time.
Great service. Good layout of a store and good products.
Love everything about Patagonia and this store. Nicest staff. Love the clothes. Last forever. Amazing quality.
Helped me exchange a damaged product extremely quickly when it couldn't be fixed! Nice company!
Definitely miss the old location, but they’re now located at a even more convenient location, and the store is comfortable.
Very helpful staff and great products
Great staffs! So friendly!
Love this company, and the store didn't let me down when visiting it. Superior service, terrific location by the water, best gear and clothes in the world...whats not to love +++
Getting there can be a little bit tricky by car, and parking could a nightmare but overall the store's pretty nice. This nice guy who was new asked if I needed help and so I was looking for a jacket which they didn't have the color I wanted. He pointed me to another sales associate and she was glad to place an order online (which they had the color I wanted) and offered me free two day shipping to either the store address or mine. I said I wouldn't be able to come back in a couple days but they were willing to set me up with two day shipping to my address at no extra cost! I was amazed and thankful for their customer service. Their products may be pricey but it's so worth it in the end. Will definitely come back (if I have the money hehe)!
Super friendly and engaging staff.
The staff seemed nice and the tore was clean. Prices seemed appropriate for the venue and location. Just the inventory is lacking.
The highest level of service and extra high quality gear. Their corporate and local employees are fantastic. I used to think rei had great service and will never go back.
Great stock, but the store is a little cramped. They should swap the men's and women's section to provide a little more space
I am a big fan of this brand for many years now and am one of their many unpaid brand ambassadors :P I have managed to convert all of my family members in to Patagonia believers and so far no one has been disappointed by their products and customer service. Their products are second to none and and totally worth the $$$. I have a Das parka for many years now and it is still really good and show no signs of reaching its end of life state - even though I may be getting tired of it. But I cannot find any reason to replace it! They have the best customer service and return policies compared to the competition. They are also big in to environment friendly materials and recycling efforts which makes it ever sweeter to like this brand!
Great customer service. Everyone is really nice and they have all the essentials stocked. Best quality for the price in town.
I called at around 6PM to ask if they have my desired shoes in size 6. The salesperson (a male) said that they have them in stock at the store. I told him that I would take a taxi over before their closing time, which is 7PM. I arrived at the store at 6:35PM and was helped by a really helpful salesperson (probably not the same person who answered my call.) Turns out the store DID NOT have the shoes in size 6. I was disappointed as I have spent money on a taxi ride. I would recommend that the manager of the store makes sure his/her employees are accurate with the information given out to customers. In my case, I was thorough enough to call before hand. I will not come back to this store to buy anything ever again.
Good collection and nice colors. Staff are very friendly.
good place nice people i got a nice coat here
i love that place so nice so kind
The team here was fantastic! I was able to find exactly what I was looking for. Each Patagonia store that I am in has the best staff. Very friendly and accommodating. I am always impressed by how Patagonia can hire such great people.
Friendly staff and the best gear, not to mention it's commitment to saving our National Parks...
Average store. A little difficult to figure out who works there and who just loves Patagonia as there doesn't seem to be a uniform or nametags/badges of any sort. They're all friendly once you find them though
Great store
Consistently great customer service and selection of the highest quality goods.
Long lines. Crowded. Products are 2nd to none. Will last forever, and are worth the cost. Cool store overall.
Shop itself is really good, however parking in this area is hard and costly and heavy traffic
Unfortunately we had a very disappointed experience. We visited the store on Friday to buy gifts for my family as soon we walk through the store the female security guard started to follow us everywhere we went. The store have 2 levels. There were hardly any customers at this location, a very small place that you can hear the conversation between the sales person and the customer. My brother have a very loud/strong voice, unfortunately the black female security guard follow us to the 2nd floor and throughout the store as if we were going to steal something from the store. At one point she asked my brother to lower his voice, even though it was super quiet in the store. We follow her suggestion. Later on she came with the store Manager on site and ask my brother to leave because he was rude and offended the sales reps and customers. Security guard said that the Manager said he was scaring the customers. I told the female security guard that if he goes, we all go, so the manager (Emily Geeza) came out and did not say anything Wow!. On the way down we ask Ms. Geeza if we could at least pay for the snap back hat and order the item that they did not have in the store. She had a very rude attitude but said yes. We ask for the name of the security guard and she said that she did not know it, funny that she doesn't know the name of the guard! We have never felt so discriminated by a black and a white person before! But at this store you get it from both
Good gear but not the biggest selection of patagonia
If you're looking for warm clothes, this is the place. We bought 2 very warm jackets right before going to Alaska, in December. They kept us soo warm.
Great staff. Very helpful and knowledgeable. And patient.
Great customer service and wonderful employees. Very patient and helpful in helping me find what I needed for my trip.
Friendly staff and cool looking store
A great inventory, well staffed, & great Customer service.
Great product and service.
Cute store, love the decor. Staff is very friendly as well.
helpful staff, the clothes I have had for 2-3 years still like new. I wish they made more hemp clothing. I have a pair of hiking pants that I have worn on numerous hikes and they still appear new.
Limited selection, but great layout with a very helpful staff.
I have never faced problem in this store. It is near my office, cosy little store where you can get what you need. My Patagonia jacket started to wear off(stitches coming off) and they replaced it promptly. I cycle regularly so they recommended me a jacket that would fit my needs. Good location right in the george town is a plus.
Products last forever and if they don't the store is wonderful with getting broken items replaced or fixed. Rachel was the absolute best for customer service. She allowed my husband to run the gamut of pants and she stuck with us for about an hour as he tried on pretty much everything in the store. She never lost her cool and was always there to get us another size or answer questions. She definitely went the extra mile, as I was trying to covertly buy my husband some pants and a bathing suit for his birthday without him knowing. She helped distract him for me and then rang me up quickly upstairs while he was downstairs. I won't forget how she went out of her way to help and was so friendly!
Very polite sellers and good products.
