This place is magical! Every time I come here I get lost in the huge amount of items and possibilities! They are always restocking and have the best selection of any costume store I have been to. Great service and decent prices on items that you would have to special order online. Great for cosplay or any costume needs even off season. I started coming here a few years ago when it was recommended by a friend. My grandmother and I are just now leaving the store and this rating is because of how a staff member spoke to me. I came in looking for robes/kimonos and was asking about one particular kimono I was interested in. I asked an older woman working in the back, Cathy, if it was also marked at the rental rate of $25, because I couldn't see a tag, and she snapped at me "Whatever the rental price is!" Come to find out, it wasn't even supposed to be in that section because it's real and out of my price range. I left shortly after. I've never had an issue with the staff until today. My Grandma's first time here. Glad she didn't ask Cathy any questions!!!

I've been going to echoes of time for YEARS. I've even followed them through two moves even. Their costume selection is the best. It's like walking into the costume department of a theater. I love scrolling through their vintage costume jewlery and trying on their vintage hats. You want quality gloves, masks, or costume makeup? They're my only stop. I even got my favorite peice of vintage clothing from there, a teal blue coat with elaborate embroidery all up and down the sleeves and collar. :D We went to a colonial christmas party last year and had a blast trying on all the rental costumes at echoes, before deciding on a very pretty red velvet dress and a black and gold ebroidered coat for the male of our party. Everyone LOVED our costumes.

I get my victorian dresses/ any corset dresses here. They are great quality and great prices for the dresses. The staff is so helpfully. They picked out a dress for me that honestly i thought i wouldn't like but i love it. Its my favorite. You can buy or rent they have everything you need shoes, makeup accessories. You'll defiantly find something.

Whatever you need, you are pretty much guaranteed to find it here. The customer service is awesome as well! Love this place!

The makeup artist, forgot her name, was the one to help us and we couldn't have ask for a better person. She assisted us with finding clothes, getting dressed, finding accessories, and putting our messes back up. Toward the end of the shopping spree another girl jumped in and help her and our crew find accessories for the outfits. I couldn't have ask for better service, It pays to shop early versus closer to Halloween.

When I run out of time, I go to Echoes of Time. They have an impressive selection of retail and rental items from a large cross section of genres. My friends and I go to a lot of costume parties and themed events. We are constantly putting together outfits and creating costumes... When there is something specific and I don't have the time to create my own, I go to Echoes of Time for help. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. It is nice to be able to tell them exactly what I am looking for and have them know what I am talking about. The stop strives to carry the best quality for the price range. The only way I would be more happy with the costumes is if I made the myself. They have everything from theatrical contact lenses to shoes and can literally dress you from head to toe. They get new items in all the time and I am always excited to see what I will find every time I visit the shop. It is the best costume shop Hampton Roads has to offer.

I am doing this review with deep regrets. Only because I am selfish like that. I want it all. I stopped in here while visiting and I left broke. Damn this store for having such amazing stuff. I am loving everything that I bought while there. Looking like a negative bank account for me. I can't stop myself. This place has everything that a designer and stylist could possible want in the vintage area. Costumes are floor to ceiling amazing. The ladies were beyond helpful and didn't bother me while I was shopping but VERY available when I had questions or wanted to see an item. Don't miss this wonderful place. Rented an ELMO costume for my sons 1st birthday party which consisted of 300 guests (50 - 75 of them were kids). ELMO never showed up as he was supposed to. I went to the company the next day to find out WHY Elmo Never showed up....they told me the Actress Forgot....I was VERY UPSET...and could not believe that it happened. No contact number was given to me....but I did receive 2 email confirmations that "ANGIE" the ELMO actress knew the date,time and place of the PARTY! Extremely disappointing to all the kids were wore RED to meet, greet and play with ELMO as stated in the invitation! Something I will NEVER EVER forgot---very embarrassing to all my guests and extremely heartbreaking!

It's a nice store full of great costumes and other items. Staff was friendly both times we went in and the place is as clean as it's going to get I guess. Great selection but saw a dress I wanted and sadly not in my size. Other than that it's a nice place to venture around in when you want to rent or buy a costume or even something to wear all the time like some of the vintage dresses. Would like to see more kid selections.

If you're looking for a costumes they have everything that you want. If you're looking for anything specific I suggest that you call ahead of time and order it. I went in looking for a storm costume and they had it but not the version that I wanted but that was my fault for not ordering it. I found out that I could order it over the phone cuz I did call they were very friendly over the phone and offered all the assistance that I needed. When I got there they were the same way. I ended up leaving with a costume that made me look like a butterfly fairy I loved it. I would recommend anybody looking for any type of costumes even if they don't have it they will definitely try to put it together piece-by-piece. They have a lot of different selections so if you were looking for a specific costume this is definitely the place to go

This place is the need to go when you need something different from the mall clothing stores. It look overwhelming the first but if you really star looking through you will find clothes that in the mall are alot more money. And ofcourse there are alot of vintage clothes that all the girls would love to mix it with new clothes and have some instagram pics. How ever the Halloween fans are for a treat in this store. They have few isles full of treasures. This store by far has the most stuff for Halloween. You need to visit this store even if you think you are not going to like it. I bet will be some there that you will love it. Enjoy it. Did I mention that they have an excellent sale? You will find out when you going there.

The staff was very excited to hear about my costuming adventures at DragonCon in Atlanta. I went in for accessories and make up and was not disappointed. They asked me to come back by to show them the completed projects. It was nice to talk to people who are clearly excited about costuming and geeking out. Their Harry Potter costumes are simply amazing. I think they may want to invest in some solid Pokemon (actual Pokemon, not just Team Rocket) since the franchise is back on the rise.
