I cannot recommend Christine's Bridal enough. Though I live a ways away, I met Chris at a bridal show and just loved what her and her shop were all about. I am a plus-sized lady, and one of my biggest concerns with trying on dresses was being shoved into something way too small and then being asked to parade around a room with friends and strangers with half my backside hanging out. This will NOT happen to you at christine's-- because she carries an EXTENSIVE selection of sizes. I did not try on a single dress that didn't either fit or was a bit big. The other MAJOR draw to Christine's is that you get an amazing personal experience. Chris makes an appointment with you and your family, and the shop is essentially closed during that time. You get Chris' undivided attention and assistance, as well as expertise in picking flattering dresses. Every dress in the shop is affordable, with the most expensive dresses ( I believe) not going over the $2000 mark if not less. I got an elaborate dress I would've spent thousands on anywhere else for $800 and some change. Chris makes the experience so painless and personal-- buying my dress has been, by far, the best and easiest part of my wedding planning.

I had the absolute BEST experience at Christine's Bridal! Chris the owner made the whole experience wonderful. She is very knowledgeable and friendly! My first appointment with Chris I found two dresses that I loved! She listened to what I thought I wanted and asked so many great questions. I ultimately ended up picking a dress that was nothing like I had originally thought I wanted, but Chris knew it would be just perfect. She pulled the PERFECT dress! She educated all of us on bridal gowns and what styles worked well for my body type. She took the stress out of dress shopping and made it fun! Before I went to Christine's Bridal I went to a major chain and luckily didn't find anything there. The service and care that Chris provides is much superior than that I received at the chain store! Shopping at Christine’s was an experience like no other. Immediately we felt so welcome. Chris took my measurements and then sat us all down to talk about the different styles and materials, something the previous bridal shop I had visited did not do. She used my “inspiration pictures” to get a feel for what I liked and went into the back room of dresses and pulled one to get an idea of my size. Spoiler alert: this is the dress I bought! She was so in tune with what I liked and was able to read my body language when I wasn’t able to explain what I liked or didn’t like about a dress. The prices at Christine’s are also phenomenal while still getting top notch materials. I was fairly picky about the kind of dress I wanted, and even though I eliminated many styles and materials she was still able to put me in a great selection of dresses. I fell in love with 3 dresses and she was able to help me make the final decision without feeling pressured to make the decision that day. Chris was amazing and I am so glad I was able to work with someone so lovely. The professionalism and dedication I felt was above and beyond anything I could have imagined, I will be recommending Christine’s to everyone!

Christine's Bridal had the most fabulous and varied wedding gowns available. Especially for those brides who want to be unique on their special day, this is the place to go! Every single gown was beautiful and available in whatever size or style you needed. The owner Christine is probably the most helpful, responsive and professional vendor in the bridal gown industry that I came across during my search! She explained everything to me, the style of dress, pros and cons of differing fabrics and cuts for your own shape, and was always available by e-mail or phone. I can't remember how many messages and questions I had throughout the whole process, and Christine was more than willing to help, always with a huge smile on her face and completely bending over backwards to make sure that everything was just perfect for my day. When it came to the groomsmen attire I was having such a hard time getting the men to turn in their sizes, and was completely stressed out about all of their tuxes still coming in time as they were all from out of town and would have to be sure the tuxes fit on the first try. And who was there? Christine, always flexible and sending reminders to help move things along but also being so understanding of my own busy schedule being in school still. The day of the wedding went off perfectly with everyone looking outstanding and of course my dress just as gorgeous as I ever could have imagined. the process was painless, the price was so so reasonable and Christine was efficient and organized to make my wedding as fantastic as it was. I highly recommend her to any new bride looking for the perfect dress and a professional vendor who truly values her customers!

Overpriced and, as a mom, I felt the owner didn't respect the experience that my daughter and I wanted for prom dress shopping. We felt rushed and I was verbally pushed out of the changing room several times. Otherwise, we found a prom dress for my daughter here after much shopping other places. There is a large selection and the environment is clean and professional. The owner is knowledgeable and attentive (maybe overly attentive?) to the person trying on dresses. My daughter was pleased. My wallet was not! Would recommend to a friend, but for us next year we plan to travel out of state to shop for a dress.

The staff at Christine's Bridal and Prom was extremely helpful, professional and knowledgeable in their dress fitting. The friendly staff and atmosphere of the experience made it that much better when choosing a prom dress. Their gowns are extremely beautiful in that regards, and not one prom dress is the same. I had the most genuine experience at Christine’s Bridal and finally said yes to the dress! I was nervous to try on wedding dresses because I am a bigger girl and I've always compared myself to other woman. One of my favorite things about her shop is she works one on one with you. I have to say that I went into bridal gown shopping with reservations. It was my first time trying dresses on, I knew what dresses I had seen online that I liked and I knew what I didn’t like. But I soon realized all of that goes out the window when you start trying them on yourself. When I first got to Christine’s Bridal we were greeted by the owner herself, with a measuring tape around her neck and a smile on her face she got down to business right away. We took our shoes off, donned some of Chris’s finest fluffy slippers, and after a couple of quick measurements we started learning. Chris is extremely knowledgeable, and the first thing she did was to teach us all about fabric, fit, style and construction. I didn’t realize until then how much I didn’t know! But she walked us through it all with confidence and caring, and let me tell you, 2 hours flew by so fast!!! There were so many dresses in so many styles, and all of them beautiful! And the best part was that I could actually fit into nearly every dress she brought out, and some were even roomy!!! That was a refreshing change from almost every other shopping experience I’ve had as a plus size woman, and it certainly made it a lot more enjoyable than I had expected. Never once did I feel out of place, uncomfortable, or self-conscious. Not only was it fun and educational, I found the most beautiful dress for my big day and we even got a discount for paying up front! Christine’s is definitely the place to go, especially for plus size women. The selection spanned every type of dress imaginable, sizes and styles flattering for every body shape, and prices for every budget. Thanks Chris!!

I had always passed Christine’s Bridal shop for years and due to its’ off the beaten path location, I honestly didn’t think it could be a quality place to pick out a wedding dress or tuxedo rental. I could not have been more wrong. From the moment I met Chris, I knew I had made a great decision to give Christine’s Bridal a shot for my wedding tuxedo rental. After getting to know each other a bit, we got right into choosing colors and styles of tuxedos. Chris made this very easy, explaining everything to me and never forcing me to make quick decisions. We picked out two combinations of tuxes and a week later, I came in to try them on. Again, Chris was very accommodating and helpful at this time. I made a decision on the tux that I wanted that night, not because I felt rushed or under the gun but because I trusted Chris and knew I was dealing with a local, friendly bridal shop with quality tuxedo choices and not a “big box” chain store. Each time I walked into Christine’s Bridal, I felt like I was going to my neighbor’s house and not a bridal shop. It’s comforting to know that I won’t be overwhelmed with salespeople and have lots of other customers around “jockeying for position” when dealing with Christine’s. Thanks again for your help Chris! Hands down the BEST experience ever. Christine’s Bridal is a wonderful plus size shop. I am a bigger girl and it’s very hard for me to find clothes that fit right, especially dresses. Chris made me feel so comfortable and beautiful and confident, she didn’t make me feel fat or ashamed of my body. Each dress I tried on was beautiful and they all fit, they adjusted to my and my body and that’s what they are made for, to fit every big beautiful curvy bride. From the moment I walked in the door at Christine’s Bridal, I felt at ease and comfortable. This was a huge deal for me. As a larger bride shopping for a wedding dress was something that I dreaded. I didn’t think there was any way for me to feel comfortable, find a dress that fit, and not feel judged. The thought of stepping into a dressing room and having a judgemental salesperson help me in and out of dresses that didn’t fit was almost enough to make me cry. Then I found Christine’s bridal. Take a minute to read Chris’ story on her website. It’s worth your time. When I arrived she greeted me with a manner that put me immediately at ease and treated me like I was special and that there would be a dress for me. The first thing she did was take my measurements and put me in a beautiful dress that fit. It was incredible. I felt beautiful. She listened to what I thought I wanted and encouraged me to try other things. She was incredibly knowledgeable and just plain good at what she does. My girls and I had the place to ourselves and Chris brought out dresses for me. One of the most amazing things was that I never once set foot in the room with the dresses. At no point in time was I overwhelmed nor did I ever experience “dress fatigue”. Chris was wonderful also about giving her opinion when asked, but not trying to push me in one direction or another. And of course, I found my dress. And it was perfect.

First and foremost I just want to say that I found my dream wedding dress. I went to ANOTHER PLACE BEFORE here and was made to feel ashamed, like I didn't belong. Now Its not a secret that I am not a small girl, but to be sent home crying from what should have been an amazing day is unacceptable for any women. Well my cousin seeing how upset I was, called Christine's Bridal and filled them in on what happened. It wasn't even two weeks of emailing and talking with the Owner Chris, that I had my appointment. So my mom, sister- in law, cousin, friend and I headed to Heartland VT. When you walk into this place you are immediately treated like family. From the door to the dressing room, there is not one moment I felt nervous, or like I didn't belong. The owner Chris helped me with every gown, made sure all my needs were met. I have even decided to change where the men were going to get their tuxedos to Christine's Bridal. The place and Chris are without a doubt absolutely wonderful. I will be going here from now on for all my formal wear for sure!!!!

I just want to share with you guys what a wonderful experience I had at Christine's bridal in Hartland I went in there nervous unsure and I was greeted with such kindness and reassurance that I was making the right decisions I was treated like a Queen! When it came down to purchasing my bridal gown Chris the owner actually let me know that they had a payment plan which I was Thrilled about because I had Discussed with her prior to making my appointment that money was tight but I had to have my dream dress. She also helped me through all the little details that get lost and forgotten when you're planning a wedding. I also really enjoyed our experience purchasing bridesmaids dresses Which we did at a separate appointment which I really liked that we did that so that the bridal appointment trying on my dress was all about me and then the next appointment with the bridesmaids was all about them I really liked the way that was set up it made me feel like a Queen And made my girls also feel super important! All of the fashion seemed really current trendy really up todate on the current styles and looks everyone really wants to have.The one-on-one interaction that you get there is so personal it means so much more than going to a franchised bridal shop and you run through there by yourself with not a clue what to do chris spends that 1 on 1 time with just you and it makes all the difference. I will definitely be recommending Christine's bridle for any bride and bridal party they really made my experience absolutely wonderful!

My Matron of honor had worked with Christine on multiple weddings and said this was the shop to start our search for the perfect dress. Christine was wonderful to work with and I found my dress at my appointment! The selection of designer name gowns along with Christine's own designs was spectacular. There was no pressure and even when my appointment ran over Christine knew we were near the decision so stayed late for us. My dress was more than I had ever dreamed of. It was a Christine original design and the price was spectacular. I thought I had picked one of the most expensive dresses due to the detail on the dress, but it was way below the amount I said I could spend. I went to a chain store to look for a Matron of honor dress, but went back to Christine's in the end. At such a stressful time it was wonderful to work with the calm professionals at Christine's Bridal to find the perfect dress.

Christine's was the second bridal salon I went to. The first one was good and I found a dress that I thought I would be okay with. Then I went to Chris, she explained how a dress like I was describing would end up looking different after it was altered for my 5' frame. She is so knowledgeable since she designs the dresses she was able to show what would happen to my shape when different dresses were shortened for me. The other place did not do that and it was drastic, I would have been so upset with the dress had I bought the other one. Instead Chris showed me gorgeous dresses that could easily be altered to my height without changing the appearance of the dress at all. I am so in love with my dress, it's perfect and unlike anything I've seen online. Everyone should go to Christine's Bridal even if you don't buy anything on your first visit like I did you will come away with so much more of an understanding of how things look on you and what's realistic to expect when a seamstress alters your dress.

Christine’s has gorgeous gowns and incredible service! I had such a wonderful and informative appointment with Chris as my very talented/knowledgeable consultant. It was my very 1st bridal appointment and Chris explained all the different fabric options, silhouettes, fits, and detail options. I’ve had many of my friends who are plus-sized like I am go to bridal appointments and have been shown only a few dresses that come in their sizes. That was not the case at all at Christine’s! Her dresses made me feel so beautiful and elegant, regardless of my size (which should be the case for every single woman!). She has many accessories to choose from and veil styles. I have used Christine's Bridal and Tux for several tuxedo and suit rentals. I have found them to be the best price of anyone in the Upper Valley, and also offer the best service. Measurements are accurate, and the tuxes, although rentals, seem like they are custom fit! I especially liked the fact that I could return the tux after hours. I will certainly do business with them again, and recommend them to anyone in the Valley that needs a tux or suit.

On Febuary 7, 2018 I had my third experience for finding my perfect wedding dress. I had gone to two other wedding shops the first wedding shop just rushed me to hurry and say yes to anything and everything. The second dress shop didn’t take the time to listen to what I wanted and was looking for the just pulled out dresses for me to try on and were very rude. So I said three times a charm and looked up bridal shops near me and picked one. I picked Christines Bridal. Christine took the time to explain about each dress style and even took my measurements. I also emailed Christine dresses I liked and was able to try on. Not only was I pleased with her customer service buy her time and patience she had with me but the honesty of how the dress looked on me as well. I was happy to say 3 hours later of being with Christine I had said “YES TO THE DRESS”. The pricing of the dresses are very reasonable and she will work with what is in your budget range also has a layaway plan for those that can’t buy right away. Nicole Thornton

This was by far the WORST experience I've ever had customer service wise. "Chris" claims her gowns are one of a kind and hand made. They are not. She hides them in the back and doesn't allow photos to be taken for that very reason. She was incredibly rude. She told me she prefers "Serious Brides" and not brides who are only there to play dress up....this was in response to me letting her know she was my first stop, as I had recently gotten engaged. She grilled me about my finances and that I had to have the money requested for a deposit before I could even try on dresses. She pulled me away from my mother-in-law and Aunt when she realized the introductions were off to a poor start and feathers were being ruffled by saying "Here, let me show you our private stock..." when in fact, she took me around the corner to bully me away from my mother hens. This place is a joke. You'll notice as soon as you see the window display. I would never recommend this shop to anyone and I cannot believe the way we were treated. This is my first and last google review post...yes...I was offended enough to create a google account to get the message across.

I was so excited when I realized I could shop local for my dream wedding dress. I thought being a plus size woman meant I would have to travel to a chain store, and speak with a consultant who doesn't work with my shape often. Chris made the whole experience the say yes to the dress dream experience everyone wants, and was your honest best friend. All the dresses I tried on were actually bigger than my size so they could be fitted down. I didn't feel self conscious at any time in my appointment. Loved my time there.

Hey Upper Valley people. Let me warn you about a local business to stay away from. Christine's Bridal in Hartland VT. My fiancée had an appointment set there for this Saturday for quite some time now. She just got a call from a woman who works there I assume the owner. She informed her that she did not believe that she had dresses that would match her budget. Mind you, budget had never been discussed once. My fiancée's family has been looking forward to this for quite some time and she has cousins traveling from far away in order to help her select her dress. This day has been picked out for over a month. When asked how many people were going she told her and the woman said well that's a red flag. (What does that even mean). The lady flat out told her I do not want to have you come in. So now two days before her appointment to go wedding dress shopping with all her family she has to scramble to find another place she had a big day planned we're gonna have a great big breakfast then she was going to go shopping and then we are going to have dinner with her family from out of town. Thanks to the ridiculous practice of this bridal shop we will now be stressed with finding another way to get this all done in less than 48 hours from now. Terrible business practice and I would urge anyone looking to not waste their time in booking any appointments with them for they may cancel two days before hand. Furthermore. I posted this to a group in the Upper Valley Facebook group. Dozens of people shared even more horrific stories. She then proceeded to harass my fiancée and I and then had me reported to Facebook. STAY FAR AWAY.

Chris the owner made my experience one I will never forget! Her dresses are absolutely stunning and she made it so easy for me to find the perfect dress so quickly by listening to everything I was saying about each dress! The fact that she could talk me through everything and teach me so much about each style and material made what I thought was going to be a long, exhausting, and awful journey so quick and simple! She knows her stuff and she designs the dresses so it's something you cannot get anywhere else! I would highly recommend to any of my friends or family to go to her first. I went to Christine's bridal for a wedding dress and that's exactly what I found! I found the most stunning dress that they have created. Fair prices and well made dress that make shock all my guests and most importantly my finance on our special day! Everyone was very nice and really listened to you and what you were looking for. The only thing suggested is to have your guests wear an extra sweater. It was a little chilly for my family. i would 100% recommend Christine's bridal to anyone looking for a beautiful dress.

Chris and her crew are AMAZING!!! My daughter decided to be part of the Apple Blossom Cotillion this year she is a plus sized young lady and a bit self conscious about being in a dress as she hasn’t had the greatest luck finding the right fits in the past. At the dress fitting Chris made my daughter feel right at home and comfortable being in her beautiful dress carefully having her try on multiple dresses till we found the perfect fit for her body needs. I was and am so thankful at the experience she made for my daughter!! When we left my daughter left excited and feeling beautiful!! My husband and I were graced with the most wonderful wedding! The venue was a mountainside chapel in Stowe, and I was elegantly adorned with a simple, gorgeous dress that I had bought at Christine's Bridal. The tiara I wore was also purchased there, completing my look....while there, we agreed upon the arrangements for the flowers that decorated the stone chapel that day, and Chris personally saw to placing every blossom! Who would have thought in the little town of Hartland Four Corners, Vermont you would have found a bridal dress shopping experience that could compete with Kleinfeld’s from “Say Yes to the Dress”.
