Anything you need to dress up for any occasion can be found here. Staff is helpful even the day before Halloween. They have a huge parking lot and the cashier made several suggestions for saving money. I didn't take them, but I appreciated the thought!

I use this place for all of my disguises for each of my heists and their rental department is fabulous. Leaves other people's hair and DNA all over the crime scene. My only complaint is that they won't accept my criminal name and just hand over my information when the cops show up all Willy-Nilly like. I would come back but we don't get field trips here in Folsom Prison. 9/11 was an inside job.

Melissa and Gary helped me and I can't say enough about how nice, friendly and knowledgeable they boyh are, and so importantly how they made me feel about myself and the look they created that actually made even me look good. The store is enormous and the rentals are a literal walk-in warehouse - be prepared to feel like a big kid who opened a big steam trunk with every imaginable costume, hat, shoes, belts, sashes, jewelry you can think of. It is overwhelming but that is what they do here - they know what they have and they will excees your expectations. I will definitely refer friends and anyone who needs a costime to Performance Studios. WOW!!!

Sadly this new location is lackluster at best. Previously Performance studios was an amazing experience year round but Halloween was especially magical. With an entire room of decorations, more amazing costumes than you could imagine, an extensive prop selection, high quality stage makeup, and more. Nothing was as great as going in and spending time as a family trying on silly hats. That's all changed now. No more hat room but rather a boring wall with a few small mirrors. There was a tiny selection of generic decorations shoved in a small corner, and the props were a joke.. the stage makeup selection is still pretty good, and there are tons of great wigs. However the costume selection has shrunk so much! There was more selection at party city this year! Forget about finding anything out of the usual or even accessories to build your own look. All in all the store was laid out like a goodwill but with less selection. It's a shame to see that the performance studios experience is gone. Now it's not even worth the drive.

This place is great! Came in the week before Halloween trying to find something for a work party. I ended up renting a costume, and the girl who helped me (I didn't catch her name, unfortunately) was AMAZING. She totally made my look! I expected to pay at least $100 for the costume I had chosen/been set up with. Nope!! $45!! And I forgot to return it on the due date, so I called and was told that the next day would be fine. Upon return of the costume, the staff was attentive and quick, the process was painless. I'll be coming back for years to come!!

Such a great place for costumes! Expansive showroom with countless costumes and accessories to buy, as well as a large room with just hats! In the back are the costume rentals. The staff there are very helpful and knowledgable. A fantastic experience every time. PRO TIP: Costume rentals start Sept. 1st, and that's the best time to go.

Best costume store if ever been to. They have a ton of sizes and an amazing plus size section. this is only costume place that I have ever been to that allows you to try on the items before leaving. They also have a very helpful staff. not only do they have costumes, but they also have high quality accessories to put with them. They had entire sections for wigs, masks, shoes and hats. Parking was a bit difficult, and the Hundred Oaks area is pretty crowded. However, totally worth the trip.

I am a long time costumer/cosplayer and I visited Performance Studios for the first time today. Even with the madness of it being Halloween and the store being PACKED (they had cops outside directing traffic for people to park), they were fully stocked, the staff were EXCELLENT, and the pricing was rather impressively good! They had items that ranged from novice/cheap all the way to very nice, high quality professional. The selection was quite varied and they had pretty much every genre I could think of. I will absolutely be back!

Great for the general public but not a pro shop by any means. Since the new owners have taken over, inventory is low all the time and customers service isn’t as good as it use to be. The new hours are inconvenient. I still recommend them for costume rental but that’s all they are good for now I use to be able to buy supplies here for whatever I needed but now I have to order everything off line. The staff use to be knowledgeable but with new ownership comes new staff and they just aren’t as knowledgeable.

I can almost always find what I need, and if I can't, employees are willing to help me figure out how to make it happen (or get something ordered). Great selection, nice employees, easy to navigate through the store (so long as it's not close to Halloween- then it's crawling with tons of people!).

I really liked the store, but their form of putting whole racks of clothes together based on color, not size, was a bad idea. Instead of being able to look at what was on offer size-wise, I had to search through every different color and then I had to look at every damn dress, hoping I'd turn up with something my size. The fact that (being generous) more than half of the dresses didn't even have a tag indicating what size the dresses actually were made it even MORE of an annoyance. My time is limited, and I finally said 'screw it, I'm out of here.' I ended up leaving without looking at any of the other dresses still hanging there. What's more, any desire I might have had to look at anything else they had in the store was dead. If you don't mind having to dig through stuff, and you have a couple of hours to waste, you might be fine with it. I won't be going back. It was not worth it to me. Oh, and the woman working there was not overly helpful or courteous - I was very underwhelmed. She acted like we should know where everything was, and that it was an immense inconvenience to have to show us.

This place is a great resource for filmmakers working in Nashville.. They have a range of costumes and props, from the cheap simple Halloween costumes all the way to professional high end, rentable costumes.. I shoot music videos in the Nashville area and I usually find just what I’m looking for here.. The staff has always been super helpful and attentive and I’ve honestly never had a bad experience at Performance Studios.. The prices reflect the quality of the products so if you’re looking for professional costumes and props expect to pay a little more.. But in general it’s not a very expensive store.. We bought a 5 foot long barbarian sword just yesterday for $50!!! If you’re looking for props and costumes in Nashville this should definitely be your first stop..
