I don’t understand the negative reviews this store has! I came in, on Halloween, in search of a Greek/toga costume and had multiple people in the store point me in the right direction. Everyone was helpful and the checkout process was super fast. I spent maybe 15 minutes in the store. The people walking around aren’t trying to “stalk” you as some people say, they’re looking to see if you need help. The no bag/purse policy is completely understandable!!! People steal and with a store like this full of people, a business has to protect itself. 100% will return here for all future costume needs and wants! LOVE this store!

I'm a Halloween freak and I love to dress up but most places only have chintzy costumes. This place is amazing!!! Full selection and price ranges. You can try stuff on and Ali is the bomb!!! She is so helpful and funny and kind. The service is top notch. The quality you get for the prices beats any other Halloween place we have in the area.

These guys are always pretty helpful. They're prices are high, but that's what you get when you try to compare them to Amazon. For a "need it now" buy, or for questions about makeup, this is the best place to go in Charleston.

Place is a rip-off! I paid $64.99 for a costume only to find it the next day on Amazon for $17.95 and to make matters worse the outfit was missing an important item. They tell you you're not allowed to open the packages before purchase but once you purchase them they say they can't do anything because all sales are final and no refunds or exchanges. Very disappointed. Owner is very unprofessional.

I don't usually leave reviews upside from 1-5 stars but I just say I was definitely satisfied by my visit. We went in on both a whim and curiosity to plan for Halloween and being a collector of the odd and unusual I was not disappointed. All in all we left with a Halloween/bridal veil and a pair of old school platform shoes ive never seen anything similar to so it was definitely worth the trip

I don't often take the time to write reviews. However, my experience tonight in this store was so negative I went straight out to my car to write this review. I was acknowledge several times by 4 different employees asking me if I needed help. When I asked them if they had certain things or where I could find them they acted disinterested and clueless. They made me feel as though they wished I didn't even bother admitting that I would like their help locating items. The man who appeared to be the manager was rude and when I asked him the cost of a hat he snipped "It's part of the manequin!" After an employee asked me for the fourth time if I needed help and then proceeded to tell me they didn't know what I was talking about or where to find it, I walked out of the store. Consumers want to give Brick and mortar stores a chance and yet we are faced with poor customer service, poor selection, and poor quality of what is supplied. This is what sends people online to Amazon, and quite frankly I wish I would have saved half an hour in this store and went straight to Amazon.

Staff was super helpful, but scoffed at my reasoning for being there (ordering off etsy and my costume has not arrived even a month later, and now am scrambling for an outfit) and I felt a little looked down upon. They have a good selection though and will probably go back for other costume and cosplay ideas or pieces.

Super fun store with a ton of costumes and accessories. I'm Plus Sized and was pleasantly surprised at the wide selection of women's adult sized costumes! Also, they carry a wide variety of modest and so-called "sexy" outfits. There are private dressing rooms to allow customers to try on costumes and the prices are reasonable. Enjoy trying on costumes !!

Don't waste your time! I tried to go to this store today, but they don't allow purses inside. I've never seen a store with a "no purse" policy. So silly. Listen to the other bad reviews & go elsewhere.

I don't like giving a one star review but this costume store made me feel like I was in the Twilight Zone! The rating is based on their terrible customer service. I called a couple times within business hours and got a automated messaging system and then a voicemail with a full mailbox. So, I visited the store looking for scab blood and tooth FX by Ben Nye or Mehron. The employees I asked my makeup questions to didn't have any knowledge of what makeup products they carried. They referred me to an employee who was extremely unpleasant. I first asked her about Ben Nye products and she rudely barked at me that they don't sell Ben Nye because "it's made in china and they only sell US products." The manner in which she spoke to me was not nice and kind of condescending. I then asked if they carried scab blood and she pointed to Mehron stage blood - a different product . When I told her this was not scab blood she about lost it on me insisting it was . Not wanting to let this lady put a damper on my Halloween shopping I decided to walk away. Costumes and makeup are supposed to be fun, right? I asked some nearby staff if they carried scab blood and as I was talking the same unpleasant lady approached and started another rant (basically trying to say she already told me )at this point, I interrupted her and asked her to please not be disrespectful to me . I then just walked away from the entire section because she was just extremely unprofessional . The whole vibe in the store was negative & tense . One of the cash registers was not working . There is a sign on the door that reads, "no purses or bags." There is a "bouncer" at the door checking your purchase bags and receipts. There is employees walking around eyeing your every move but they couldn't answer any of my questions about products in the store. Also, you can't try on entire costumes - just one part of whatever costume you are interested in . Lastly, the dirt parking lot is terrible with pot holes and dust everywhere. While I love to support locally owned businesses I won't be back. This place needs a lot of improvements but my first recommendation would be employee training on basic customer service and product inventory.

Poor phone customer service. Called these people, and machine says to talk to someone, you gotta press "0". Pressing zero sends you to another machine that asks you to leave a message. Not able after three tries to talk to somebody. Maybe they are nice, maybe not. Just could never get a human on the line during work hours. Perhaps this is a little hokus pokus, but magically, I will never be giving them any more business.

Call the store in advance to get pricing on a particular product. It was a beast a mask from beauty and the beast. I was told $39.99. When I arrived I noticed the sticker on the package said $49.99. I explained that I was told a different price over the phone and asked if they would honor that. Without apology she said no. I would have appreciated them just taking ownership of their mistake and offering me a small discount or politely just saying no I'm sorry we can't do that. And I think you will find from other reviews as well as mine that when you go there expect poor service and know that you're going to buy something from there because you need it now and can't wait to just order it online. Don't seek a pleasant experience and interaction and you won't be disappointed. Travis
