Lovely couple runs the place. Many good clothes and strange things too. Hindu god or Betty Boop on bracelet. Stacks of incense or stacks of ancient radios. Silk Indian clothing or a bust of composer Hector Berlioz. Crucifix or baby's toy cash register.

I love coming to this hidden gem to buy scarves, vintage clothes, tapestries, blankets, etc etc literally everything you could imagine. The owner is such a sweetheart and sends you post cards every once in a while

Smelled an amazing incense at a record shop around the corner and was pointed toward The Dress Shoppe. The owner was very welcoming, so warm and helpful! We came out with several boxes of divine, hand-rolled incense (and now are home always smells wonderful).

Sold me a sari that when I went to wear was damaged and completely unwearable. I took it to them and they admitted it was damaged and unwearable and that if they had seen the damage they would have pointed it out. They refused to give me my money back. Felt like predatory practice, avoid this store and their other store Heritage Indian Fashion on Lex.

Made purchase on the phone with the owner. He promised to refund the money for the garment if it did not fit. When I returned the item he did not refund the money. When I called asking for the refund he said that he received it too late. There was never a time for return discussed or sited on his website or on the invoice. It was returned within a month and NEVER worn. The owner is a liar. Do not buy anything from this store unless you are 100% sure that it fits and you like it because he will not honor his word on returns.

I love Mr & Mrs Goyal's treasure trove of wonderful art and beautiful clothing. They are true New Yorkers, friendly and fun -- and still there after all these years!

This store always astonishes me! There are rare vintage things thrown into the mix. I get all of my curtains, towels and bed spreads here. Gorgeous textiles! Also beautiful Indian clothes. The prices are so fair and the owners are great neighborhood people-helpful and sweet. This place is a true treasure! There is not another store like it in the whole city!

I have been going here for many years. The owner is someone who i respect very much... he is a kind soul and his knowledge and shop offer what you can find almost nowhere in NYC. Appreciate this place while it is here. Business in NYC are dying by the day... this place still stands. I buy harem pants and incense from them, and continue to tell everyone I know about Dress Shoppe II!
