I find that shopping here often is the key to getting what you need. My son is in that "growth spurts every other day" phase and Other Mother's helps me keep him clothed. I always tend to find stylish clothes for him and occasionally for myself as well. Two things I have concerns about: Selling/Trade prices and small location size. At times I'll bring in a huge trash bag of good quality clothing and get $15 in trade. But I get it, the store needs to make money too. I also wish the store was a bit bigger. The aisles are small and the furniture and stroller areas are always cluttered. Besides those 2 minor things, the staff is great and I'll continue to go back.

A nice place to trade in your clothes a few nice staff members . A few good options , of clothes for mother and child as well as toys and a place to trade in your unwanted extra baby stuff . Edit: I changed my review to one star , because after many visits there to trade in clothes they ripped me off . Gave me chump change for nice children clothes and shoes . Lost multiple of my bags that I used to transport my donations. And they don't even take anything I try to trade ever, but when I try to shop for my 3 year old they don't ever have his size shoes or nice clothes options for him . All of they stuff they accept is worn down and they turn my stuff away like it could be any worse than what there selling to the public . Of all community's to rip off it's a shame it has to be mothers .....

Sloppy atmosphere. Not as organized as it used to be when smaller. Tried to sell back used stroller, which wasn't accepted due to a juice mark or "stain". Which was easily removed with a wet cloth when brought home. Sold my item on line for what I'm positive was more then I would have been offered there for it. Also more is given in store credit, which is baby items (understandably). But I'm selling baby items to them because I no longer need it or have baby children. Store credit would've been useless.

Some things are priced affordably, While others are priced just a couple dollars less than what you could buy new on Amazon. In particular the poor pricing was on things like activity mats and some of the toys. Clothing was reasonably priced.

This store does good but customer service wise sucks! I love 45 min from them and they not give you one bin to put stuff in. Which is no enough for someone who makes one run every few months. I am done traveling to them I rather donate all of it then deal with there rude people and ridiculous policies.

I LOVE this store! the prices are reasonable, the clothes work, we buy most of our son's clothes here. The trade it policy is really worth it. This is also my preferred location. We actually drive down from Santa Fe because we cannot afford the thrift stores here. I was especially grateful when my son was first born because he was really small and needed premie sizes for a while, and we had not planned for that they were a total lifesaver!

Rude staff Do not offer cash for clothing. Only offer store credit. Poor quality of clothes in store. I brought 50+ outfits of like new GAP baby outfits to sale to the store. The workers were very rude as I tried to hold my one year old and get my two boxes of clothing for sale on the counter. It took 30 minutes for them to review my clothing. While they reviewed my items I looked around the store. The majority of the clothes for sale are not name brand (they advertise name brand, high quality clothing) and a lot of items for sale were dirty and over-loved. Most of the items for sale were no where near the quality of the items I brought. They offered me $48 store credit, when I asked for cash instead they said that the store doesn't do that. They were rude when I told them to box back up my stuff that I didn't find $50 worth of items in the store that I wanted. I would recommend selling you items on craigslist and skipping this store all together.

If zero stars were possible I would give it to them. We went in there looking for a Maternity Support Belt, we spent abouy 10 minutes looking around for something like it and no one asked if we needed help. Then when my husband went up to the front desk to ask if they had them they simply shrugged him off and said they didn't know what they were, if they had them or where one would be. Isn't this suppose to be a mother's store, for maternity and children?

Do NOT bring your nice clothes here and expect to be treated fairly or get a fair exchange. Employees are incredibly rude and unprofessional. I brought name brand clothing( Apple Bottoms, Gap, and Ralph Lauren) in, that were all in great condition. The store credit they offered me for a full bag of clothing was not even enough to purchase a new Melissa and Doug princess play dress. All the other clothing in the store was heavily used, fuzzy and in overall bad condition. It was obvious there was nothing in the store that would constitute a fair trade. I politely asked if they could offer me a better deal considering the items I brought in, and the employee snapped at me "You don't have to take it." I requested my items back- which THEY ALREADY TAGGED AND SEPARATED INTO BINS OF THEIR OWN prior to my acceptance of their offer. UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! I had to tell them which items were mine and remind them to look for other items they did not place back. This is considered stealing! Do not waste your time here. Sell on ebay or donate to a local charity.

This place is a complete rip off when trading in good quality items you only get a very very small fraction of what it's really worth. Most of the staff is rude and are too busy talking down about the customer who just left earshot rather than actually doing their jobs sorting items in a timely manner. The store stinks of dust and vinegar and if I'm being completely honest I wouldn't trust buying anything in fear of bringing bed bugs home. I'd rather donate all my items to big brothers big sisters then ever step foot in their store again and i still have store credit that will never be used.

Overall it's not a bad store for gently used baby and kids items, but be wary of items in sealed plastic bags. The last two times I've purchased blocks this way, I realized too late that they reeked of cigarette smoke. They do have an extensive selection of gently used kids clothes though.

I was here yesterday to trade in clothes and a bike. Surprisingly it didn't take them long this time to go through my items. Before I've had to wait 40 minutes and even go ask them if they had finished. As I was browsing, I started to notice some really familiar items... They were the clothes I had just brought in! Now why would you go and start tossing items out for sale when you don't even have a confirmation to do so? Say I decide to take my stuff back and try somewhere else ( we really should though). That's a lot of where's Waldo type of work. Not to mention my right to report stolen property if I never agree to the consignment. There's also a few problems with this place besides the obvious lack of intelligence and people skills. First off, they specify to have 'gently' used clothing that is not gross and pilling or stained and just really nasty. That's what they claim, they don't want that. In store that's basically all there is. And those nasty looking, stained, and creepy crawly feeling clothes are expensive! Why?! *** now I would like to discuss a new problem here: items with the tags still on them. They price these at only 45 cents off of whatever clearance sticker was still hanging on them or the full price. These were a little rare a couple months ago, but now its just insane. I noticed a good 30% of clothes had 'new' tags still attached. Half of those were from Fallas, who sells their brand for just a few bucks. Other mothers has more than doubled the prices on these cheap clothes. What a scam! Those are either stolen or bought on clearance to resale for more credit, which is obviously working. The appearance of this store is an episode of hoarders.whatever clothes aren't on the floor are shoved onto one rail making it impossible to browse without ripping stuff off hangers. Any furniture or baby seats are all cramped in a corner on one side and lined up and down another aisle. You can't tell there's a fitting room or restrooms because of the back workers leaving everything in an avalanch prone mound in front of it. The employees have a lot of issues. They get mad when you won't donate your unpurchased items, so they call sell it at their quarter sale. If you don't have a baby or toddler with you then they generally ignore you. I noticed all the baby bringing parents got the good end of their limited customer service skills. Even random discounts! And they have friends or people they know that they will favor. I find it funny that I hear them chatting around the corner but it gets quiet when I come into view, their expressions of pursed lips and dislike glinting in their eyes. They are over staffed to have such a messy store. Too many gabby women has ruined a good idea for a profitable company. People please do not waste any of your assets here unless it is your only way of caring for your children. We need to stop supporting such bad behaviors and rudeness. We need to boycott other mothers

This is now the only Other Mothers in ABQ. It is slipping. They are overwhelmed with trades and not taking much anymore. The selection is also way down. Overall significant drop off in value and pretty much all facets from customer service to quality.

I love going to shop here once a week. I even trade my items that my kiddos have outgrown. The only issues that I have seen are the unorganized items on shelves and in the dressing room. The dressing room looks like a bomb went off and clothes sprayed everywhere. Their kids books section finally got tidied up. I'm scared to see the bathroom. Eeek! The last issue is some of the women who work here. It seems like the Hispanic ones are usually the rude, make-you-wait, never smile, and act like you're interrupting their time type of people. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has experienced this. Love this place but not so much the attitude. I spend one to two hours here a week so I definitely know. Lol

I get most of my kids clothes here because it saves a ton of money. I can get rid of their old clothes and at least get some credit for them and use the credit to get bags full of clothes at the quarter sale, it is a great deal. They also always have free formula for customers and I love their book club as well. I have been going there for 9 years and still love it!

*Udated Review* I recently stopped in and saw that they are making an effort to better organize the items with new taller racks, etc. I still find it to be a bit crowded and crazy, but if you are willing to put the time in- you can find what you need/want. I think the best thing to do is to stop in often, because I think good things go fast. The pricing is fair, but a little high on some things. I will still always stop in on occasion because it's an economical and smart way to keep my daughter clothed and trade in clothing she no longer needs, but find it a little overwhelming to go frequently.

I love how affordable the items are here! I got my daughters crib here, $50! Practically brand new! They do hold items for you (when we bought the crib, we didn't have a big enough car to pick it up) and so they held it for us and even helped us out with tools to take it apart and load it into the ride. They are understanding and patient.

Had a great experience. Had a couple of questions today and everyone was very helpful. I donate here often and I tend to forget I have credit. I have a family member that’s in need and I was able to turn my credit into a gift card. Made me so happy as well as my family member. We are forever grateful. Thank you other mothers. Also I was able to find some scrubs for work and some new pants for my daughter that was priced very reasonably. Again extremely happy.

I've shopped and traded at this shop for many years. It's a last resort shop for me because they have crazy high prices on used items, especially clothing. They are really picky about what you can trade although they do sell clothes with stains on them. It's an alright store for the most part.

I used to really love Other Mothers, but the past few times I have been there the place was a disaster, staff were rude, and they even tried to sell my items on the floor before they had given me a quote or I had given them permission to sell. When I asked the lady doing the quotes about it all she said was "I called your name", which she did not because I was there the whole time. And even if she had tried to call my name and I did not hear, they have my cell phone number! Very disappointed in their services lately. I won't be going back and would rather donate my items then sell to this store.

The store is clean and fairly well organized. There's a good amount of items packed in, but it doesn't feel too cluttered. My only complaint is poor customer service. Although there are many people working no one greets you when you walk in. If you have questions it can be hard to flag someone down. When you actually do get assistance, they seem pained to have to stop what they are doing to help. I like the idea of selling some of my kid's things and perhaps purchasing gently used clothing, but the employees make it hard to want to go back.

I’ve been shopping here since I found out I was pregnant with my child. Very affordable clothes for every mother. They carry all brands of clothing, I can usually find high brand clothing items for a very reasonable price and good condition clothing. Every piece of clothing you donate and they don’t take, they donate it to the local church. I come here as much as I can.

I will not be coming back here ever again .we bought a Walker that my daughter used maybe twice. It was dirty when we bought it From other mothers cleaned it ourselves .now that it was clean they wouldn't take it back say it was dirty lmao.i had another Walker just cleaned before we brought it the excuse on that one was it doesn't roll .I've had enough of there discrimination it's always the same girl that does it I will never give them my business again I would rather donate to goodwill and get nothing for my items then to be treated like this I'm very disgusted

They have nice clothing for a good price do not take your stuff in there for an exchange for store credit or money take it somewhere else and then shop . there Friday sale is horrific I was excited to go and when I finally was able to they took me to this little room with clothes on top of clothes piled up on the FLOOR where all the women were stepping on and it was just like you have to wear your football gear and the thing that got me was when I took my clothes all the time up there for credit they would always tell me they were donating the rest it was really nice stuff they didnt pay me for. but there wasn't really nice stuff in this room?? The workers have always been very rude I don't know what's wrong with them but they have never been nice to me and my son is a year old now

I'm giving this place 2 stars for a few reasons. Yes their prices are good but their inventory was all over the ground. The aisles were so small and hard to get through, I can't imagine any one in a wheel chair being able to shop there, I could barely get the cart through with out running into the other aisles or bags of clothes on the ground. They had barely any 12-18 month clothes in girls in ANY section. Trust me I looked, and I know it is just what people bring in but I was shocked. The staff were nice but the clothes were just all over, i think they need a better inventory manager or something to clean the place up. And make the rows neater and easier to get through. I won't be returning anytime soon. Not what I expected after a few friends suggested I visit this store. Too much of a mess to sort through with kids in tow. If the state of the store changes it would get 5 stars with their prices and the clothes I did see were nice . Just no organization at all from what I could see. :(

I personally love other mothers. It's so nice especially being that most children don't wear their clothes much so being able to donate and buy practically new clothes for a cheaper price is great. The staff here is wonderful. I found out today that the second location near Cottonwood mall has closed which is sad but I live closer to the other one anyways. But their service is great I always see lots of people there and all of them are greeted and taken care of.
