Talbots is a little more expensive but the quality is really great and the clothes are flattering. Their styles don't go out of style because they tend to be classic. It's one of the few stores these days where the clothes are modest and they last because they aren't see-through like the stuff you find in other places.

I'm not really a Talbots type, but I went there recently because I had to have cotton pants to get through TSA screening without triggering an invasive pat-down. I thought Talbots would supply the right kind of pants, and they did. Two of the three pairs I bought fit me less well when I got them home. Five weeks later, home from my travel, I returned the two pairs, and there was no trouble at all, even though I'd taken the tags off one pair (but I still had the tags as well as the receipt). So cheers for the customer service at the Broadway & 83rd St. Talbots.
