Very bad customer service. The return policy is very short and they wouldn't consider my situation that I don't have transportation to arrive to the store within the return limit. They did not state within how long the purchase can be returned, and there is o such information anywhere in the store or on the website. Some clothing was broken. Also, many things are very overpriced, found same things cheaper in other stores (that wasn't the reason for my returning though).

This shop is quirky and weird. They have all of your costume needs, including an excellent and affordable wig selection, accessories, full costumes, and shoes. The store can be a little shocking to more conservative shoppers, as it does also sell items that might be used by exotic dancers (lucite platforms, some lingerie-like items, etc).

Amazing tiny hole in the wall costume place that crams a surprising amount of stuff into a pretty small store. I was trying to put a costume together for a greek-themed work party, and decided to stop by before ordering anything on amazon. There were easily over 5 women's options for costumes that would have worked with the theme, and countless accessories. Of the costumes I found most everything was cheaper or the same as on Amazon. They also had a bunch of cheap brightly colored makeup that I hadn't seen elsewhere. Overall great place, and I highly recommend.

I know and love the owner. Since 2004 I've shopped here but not as much in past 10 years since I nake so much of my own stuff. They have a great wig selection, they can order if you put down a little cash first. LOTS of wild stuff in a small store, unfortunately lots of losers come in to steal,cause a mess or just bum around from the street, but the personelle is either of the pride crowd or drag crowd, both will help you out with class. I don't fit into crowds, so it means a lot for the staff to help the owner the way that they do, they enjoy the work!

Terrible service. Needed to pick up a UPS package and checked the requirements on the UPS website for having another person pick it up since this location opens late. They turned him down when presenting the needed evidence and said I had to pick it up in person. Called and got a girl megan who didn't know anything about the policy and was unauthorized to give away packages anyway who only said to try again the next day and hope for someone named Matt to be there when we tried again.

Dorothy's is an institution. It caters to an eclectic crowd and therefore has an eclectic supply of products. Most of their business is done in October for Halloween season, but it is a year round place to pickup costume apparel, vintage clothing, work uniforms, cheap stockings and shoes (some clients are employees of the Glass Slipper and Centerfolds who come here for their dancing gear), wigs, hats, and just whatever random thing you don't realize you need, but actually kind of do. If you plan on going during Halloween time, try to do so early. While they're great at keeping stuff in stock up until the last minute, it's a tiny shop, and lines got silly long in the last several days before the holiday.
