Selection is good! The only downside is that they usually have 1 single cashier at each register at all times; and this will easily create 30 minute + lines. The fitting room lines tend to get really long as well ( at least 35 to 45 minutes)

The Dillard's at Cortana has the best deals! If you are looking for nice dress shirts (e.g. Calvin Klein, etc.), visit this place. Each dress shirt is around 5-10 dollars when the original retail price ranges from 50-70 dollars. From what I heard, all the unsold dress shirts from Dillard's across Louisiana are sent here to be sold. Don't let that fool you though. You may have to do some searching but it definitely is worth your time (and your wallet/purse will thank you).

Went to this Dillards because it looked so big and I love Dillards closeout but it was a big disappointment, inside the staff were snobby and rude and their selection was so bad. The plus size section was almost non existent and the toddler boys just as bad. The store was hot and smelly Ewww, just a bad experience all the way around. I will go to my store but never that one again all thumbs down!!!!

Large variety of clothing in an enormous jumbled mess. Lots of clothing has flaws like missing buttons, torn fabric, broken zippers but for the most part it's just nice affordable clothing. Fitting room attendant is pushy about getting a Dillard's credit card, I wish she would stop.

Loved the amount of selection. All kinds of mark downs on name brands. Bought about $350.00 worth for $50.00. Great for Christmas gifts. Down side no speedy chckout. Be prepate to stand in line for 30 minutes plus. No purses or jewelry. Spent 4 hours in store today will go back tomorrow! Im a visitor from out of state. You will not waste your time by coming to this outlet. Its a TRUE OUTLET. Happy shopping.

I will say it could use much better organization. Even prices are great and you definitely can find beautiful things, you need to pack a bag of patience to shop here. Nobody is going to assist you, there are no shopping carts you can use and there's only one area with a few dressing rooms for women where you have to be standing in line while carrying everything in your hands. Shopping here is totally exhausting. I wish they realized that if they gave their customers something to carry the different items around while they shop, they would sell A LOT more!

Selection of merchandise was very good. Styles for spring and summer were available. All items were an additional 50% off of lowest price. The only problem was the store did not plan for the extra business that the generous discount would create. They did not have NEARLY enough staff to check customers out in a timely fashion. We waited in line for an hour just to make our purchases. The lines at the fitting rooms are unreasonably long as well. However, items must be tried on as the store has a NO RETURNS policy. We saved a lot of money and our family is set for our May vacation. But, it was not without a price paid in frustration and most of a Sunday afternoon spent searching the racks, waiting for a fitting room and finally waiting forever to check out.

If I could give this store 0 stars and leave a comment then I would but it's not an option. I do not know where to begin. The store is having a last minute closeout sale and let's just say the store and staff look like it! The store was an absolute hot mess. There was no organization whatsoever, one sales associate one the selling floor and everyone was behind the register...this wasn't a busy time of day. And then what's crazy is, the security guard was behind the register standing next to a cashier as if he was attempting to help her do her job. They were laughing and having a grand old time as the associate rang up customers, completely inappropriate. And then he had the nerve to want to draw a line with a highlighter across the receipt. The sales aren't that good and as soon as the cashier told me the price of a blouse that I was interested in, and I declined purchasing it, there was no "Ok, have a wonderful day", she literally yelled in front of me "NEXTTTTTTTTTT." So yeah, if what I saw is a taste of the overall customer service and feel of the store before they started to close down, then closing is the best thing for this store. No one wants to shop in the type of unprofessional and messy environment..

To be able to shop at this place and go through the hordes of items that you see, you have to be extremely patient and willing to find a great deal. There are times that a deal that you find are absolutely extraordinary and unbelievable, there are other times were it is simply not worth the hassle of going through all the merchandise to find what you need. I like shopping at Dillards’ Clearance. When I go to there I am mentally and physically prepared to look and shop for good deals! What makes my shopping experience even greater is when there are friendly associates who go out of their way to help you find what you are looking for! There is one particular associate by the name of Alecia she is extremely helpful every time I see her, she is never to busy to stop and assist in anyway! It is such a pleasure in this day and time to find that in a retail store. She makes my day!!! Alecia keep smiling and being yourself! This must be the only thing keeping Cortana mall alive. Bargains are here, but you have to patient as store personnel won't check items in the back for you. It is whatever available on the floor. It seems to be everything that couldn't be sold at a regular dollars. If you in for a bargain and you don't mind wading through aisle and aisle of clothes. This is the place. The clothing selections kind of changes with season.

This place has great bargains. However, buyer beware of the following: 1. The store has terrible weekday hours and hard to visit on a workday. 2. Weekend hours are also limited. 3. It's an unorganized disaster. Nothing is ever sized right to the rack. 4. They have the meanest dressing room attendant. She will chase you out and give you anxiety if it is 15 minutes before close. This is especially fun if shopping for a teenage girl. 5. They turn all the lights off in the store at closing time. 6. If you wear a sz 9 ladies shoe, forget it. 7. If you wear ladies sz 14 to 16, you will find sizes 2 and 4 on the rack. 8. The bathrooms need a redo. 9. Employees run up and down the aisle at 5 minutes to closing and advise you that you have to go to cash register or leave. ****** Customer experience is poor for an outlet center.******If you are looking at destination shopping, the clearance center in Metairie is organized, has sz 14 to 16 clothing, and very nice employees. ************* Dillard's- Thank you for your response. I am very aware this is a clearance center and visit your location two to three times monthly at a minimum and have frequented this location for years prior to the clearance center. You have plenty of room for improvement at this location. I have also visited your location in Metairie, which does not have these issues. My suggestion to you would be to pair your Metairie manager as a mentor to this store manager. There is plenty of room for improvement at this location. The Metairie store is clean and organized. I suggest you visit both and take a closer look. Random check 8 foot sections of clothing and shoes to see how many sizes are not in the correct section. Visit the restrooms and the dressing rooms and see if they look fresh. I will continue to be a loyal customer, but you should have higher standards for this location for a better experience.

First time vistor and I seen many things that caught my eyes. However, everything was not size properly in order. I spend over $200.00 in the store. However, I had security following me everywhere I went and trust me it was in the women's clothing and shoes. I didn't like it!!!!!! I asked security just walked with me instead of following me in the store or pay for the items in my hand! As a person of COLOR I felt uncomfortable. I didn't see the same action taken with the Caucasian people!!! However, I was there to find an outfit for my daughter that attend LSU!!! A diamond in the rough! Cortana Mall is basically abandoned but it's worth a visit for this Clearance Center. The majority of my nicest work clothes are from here. I often find designer dresses (Nicole Miller, Anne Klein) for a fraction of the original price. Give yourself time to dig through racks organized by size. To try on clothes be prepared for a long wait and a dumpy dressing room.

This Dillard's clearance center is setup similar to most thrift stores and sells a large variety of new, name brand clothing items, shoes and accessories at marked down prices. Some of the store sections are somewhat organized but most look as if they stay in disarray. Large signs hang from the ceiling to identify the type of items in the section and racks are ordered primarily by size. The shoe section is arranged by size and by color.

Before making the drive out to this location, make sure you check the times they are open. On most days they open at noon. Also it would be worth checking their website to see what sales they have for that day. You can find some good finds there. You have to be in the right mental state to search through all the clothes there. I would recommend waiting until they have a 50%+ sale. They is when you get the best deals.

I've been shopping here for years and I absolutely love it! Very seldom do I shop and leave out empty handed. You get the same quality clothing, shoes, accessories as the regular store but at low, low prices. I have purchased name brand boots and shoes (Michael Kors, Gianni Bini, Coach, Jessica Simpson and more for unbelievable prices. Just last week I bought MK sneakers for $17!! If you're impatient, not one to look through clothes then this is not your place to shop. I'm a regular so I learned all the brands and seldom have to try on. I can scan a rack and go straight to what I want. The dressing rooms are always hot. And at times so is the store. Lots of folks said in their review that's there's only one dressing room open. When this happens, I call corporate and the next time I'm there, both ladies are open. I don't really care if the customer service sucks, I seldom have to ask for/about anything.

Depending on which location you choose, this shopping experience could be great or exhausting. Great if you find deals on what you want but exhausting if you look and look but find very little to your liking or taste. I find shoes to be the best bet here or sports bras. I get designer shoes & boots for a steal. I also find sports bras by LeMystere, a very pricy but great brand.

This is a good place to go for name brand clothes at a great price. My job requires business professional attire and I usually buy Calvin Klein clothes because they require hardly any alterations. I go here and find lots of Calvin Klein at 60% - 80% off. If you have a hour or more to spare, and you take your time you can find some good deals. There is a lot of clothes there and I don't recommend going if you are short on time. Also has home goods and shoes. You can't return or exchange so I really think you need to take your time.
