We had Dakota in Cedar Rapids and she did great, she was helpful and patient even though I had her fetching a good handful of dresses and she was tending to multiple groups of people. The experience was quick and organized and I wish I'd have just came here first before any of my other attempts at finding a bridesmaid dress. They even found a promotion I wasn't expecting to bring down the price, so that was a great bonus. I would highly recommend the store and I will be re visiting for all future events. My daughter and I went Davids Bridal in Marion to look for a prom dress after having no success at 10 other shops in the Quad Cities and in Cedar Rapids within the last week. My daughter is hard to fit but not necessarily any pickier than any other teen girl. I really appreciated how the staff at David’s Bridal treated us with great service and attention. Anna spent a good amount of time with us talking about alterations and underslips etc. She gave opinions when asked but was not pushy at all like some other shops we have been to. She didn’t make us feel rushed or like we were a waste of her time because we weren’t looking to purchase a wedding dress. We ended up buying a dress there and we will definitely go back there again if we need anything formal in the future. I would highly recommend this David’s Bridal.

I had to have my dress altered so much because the only way was to get a dress that was like 3 sizes to big. But Jackie in Alterations was amazing. It fits perfectly and it feels amazing. Thank you so much Jackie you are amazing!.............. EDIT: the dress was a disaster on the day of the wedding. The zipper broke entirely I had to be sewn in to the dress. And she cut the hem line but didn't even tailor it right. If I could give it zero stars I would!!!!!

We originally tried a smaller, high end bridal store thinking it would have a more personal touch. Not a good experience. Gal treated me like I was wasting her time. Limited selection. The dresses I did actually like, weren't in my size. Tried David's on a whim and feeling pretty discouraged after that first attempt. Excellent service. Great variety and they actually had the dresses I liked in my size where I could try them on. Found a dress that day! On September 2nd, I went into david’s bridal looking to find a homecoming dress. From the beginning, Brooksanna helped me to figure out what size dress would best fit me. Once I got to the fitting room, she complemented me on every dress I tried on and grabbed a beautiful pair of heels for me to wear as well. She was very patient and accommodating as I tried on different dresses and different belts. She helped me to find the right jewelry and perfect belt to go with my dress. I had a great experience today and am so happy I had such a great experience finding the perfect homecoming dress!!

I was a walk in customer. I was there as soon as the doors opened. I was greeted and helped immediately. They explained things and were very helpful. They have plenty of dresses in my size and price range. I tried on so many! They didn’t mind a bit! PERSIA was wonderful. She had an appointment at the same time I was there, yet took just as much time with me ( a walk in customer) as she did her scheduled appointment. She multitasked beautifully! Also, she pulled so many dresses for me that I loved, but one she pulled was not one I had thought would look good on me. It was a different style and fit than the rest that I was looking for. However, it was THE best dress and it was MY dress. She knew it would fit and flatter me. I didn’t want to take it off! I purchased it and I cannot wait to wear it on my big day!

She asked my daughter what she was looking for she told her open back and sparkle the sales person explained they bring one dress at a time and she would be back 6 dresses later I asked the sales lady do you have a dress with an open back and sparkle her commit was NO not together. Cannot speak highly enough of my experience here. We made an appointment 2 weeks before the wedding (long story) expecting the worst but were pleasantly surprised. I've worked in customer service/retail for years and the staff here is phenomenal. We worked with Rebecca "Becca" specifically, and she was the greatest. I can be a little shy and self conscious (especially in my underwear lol) but she did the absolute best to make me feel so comfortable and happy; i completely forgot about being worried and was able to just focus on choosing a dress i loved. We even found a dress that I liked that they didnt have in my size in stock--she was able to arrange it to be shipped immediately and to work with alterations so I could get minor tweaks done before the big day. To be honest I was very skeptical walking into Davids. I had heard a lot of good but also a lot of negative about the customer service in this store. I was pleasantly surprised that I have nothing but good things to say about this store. The gal I worked with was incredible about finding what styles I would like.. I went in thinking I had my heart set on specific style of dress but when I tried it on, she could instantly tell I wasn't feeling it. So this gal went out on a wimb here and picked out several dresses that she thought would fit me better based on the very few things I actually told her! Got fitted for a dress 9/28/19 to wear to my dads wedding next year. Arrived earlier than appointment was made, no issue & us girls were taken back to get fitted. Being a plus woman (size 28/30), I expected to be measured with a longer measuring tape...wrong! I was measured with a regular 60 inch measuring tape. The lady (cant remember name) went & pulled dresses for us to try on. She explains to us if we need any assistance with zipping our dresses to let her know. I looked at the 3 dress sizes she pulled, a size 18, 22, & 26. I started with the 18 & obviously it did'nt fit, then skipped to the size 26 which fit better but is a form fitting dress. I come out of the dressing room & the assistant is no where to be found. I start expressing my feeling to my group & explain that the assistant pulled a 18, 22, & 26 for me, when I know I should be in a bigger dress. This is when Rebecca B. stepped in & helped us. She explained to me that the previous assistant took my measurements as 60', 60', & 60'. Rebecca retook my measurements with a longer measuring tape & pulled a dress similar to the one we were wanting to buy. Rebecca made me feel so much more comfortable as a plus size woman. She was awesome!!! Going to get fitted for anything as a plus size woman, some of us already feel self-conscious about our weight. Being measured wrong by someone who didn't know what they were doing & dresses not fitting, didnt make me feel any better. I truly want to thank Rebecca for stepping in & turning our/my experience around You're the best!!!

The seamstress Caroline come straight up from the back helping me with what she thinks would give me the best fit and took me straight back to start. My bridesmaids and I all bought our dresses from David's Bridal, and we had a great experience! The dresses are beautiful, and all of the people there were very nice. Charlotte helped us, and she was perfectly fitted to my party - very kind and helpful! She always made sure to be there whenever we came in and really cared about making sure everything turned out well. My one negative comment is that they didn't steam my dress before I came to pick it up (though it was quite wrinkly), and since I'm having it altered elsewhere, their policy prevents them from steaming it after the alterations are done.

I cannot recommend this store more! Bought my original dress in December 2018, found out I was expecting a few months later and the staff at David's was amazing! They helped me try on a larger size of my original dress and reorder that one no extra charge! Alterations were kind enough to extend my fitting from 8 weeks before the wedding to 4 weeks as we expected me to grow with baby. Well at my appointment it seems the bigger size we ordered to accommodate baby was at least 2 sizes too big. They were able to find one in a smaller size in their floor stock and it fit perfectly! So thankful for their gracious attitudes and flexibility to work with any situation!

You’re only getting 1 star because I have to so I can post it..... Our consultant was no help what so ever, and I understand that maybe she was newer or whatever but once the appointment started to go south someone else should have got involved. The main issue is with the color of the dresses I want (which is why I choose David’s to begin with bc no one else has it) so instead of leading with info that the dress may not be available we proceed to pick out and try on dresses only to find out shopping can’t be guaranteed until AFTER my wedding date. So although upset I was open to the idea of switching my color to a similar one only to find out then that the dresses estimated ship date was a week before my wedding!! You all have a great selection online to browse through but in store when it’s time to order not every dress is available in the color it says online (in a reasonable amount of time) which is very disappointing. Basically we made zero progress toward finding my bridesmaids dresses, and it looks like I need to look elsewhere which I’m pretty bummed about bc of the perfect color David’s has.....

I was a walk-in. The owner, Stacy got me in immediately, showed me where I can find the dresses, assigned a consultant to me whom was already busy with another bride but was so very helpful with me. I showed up 20 minutes early for my 1:30 appointment with my mom and MIL in tow, and it was obviously super busy. Hostess welcomed us and showed us around, and we started looking while we waited. Caroline was my consultant, and somebody needs to give her a raise. I don’t know what she makes, but it ain’t enough!! She had a printout of the dresses I had favorited online, and she pulled from those first in my size. I’m a plus bride- size 24 in street clothes, so I was nervous about getting the right fit and having lots of options... but Caroline came right in, listened to me, picked a bunch of gorgeous stuff, and was super helpful the entire time. I felt totally comfortable putting on dresses and ended up picking something completely different than I thought- the fabulous Caroline chose it for me and also picked a ridiculously perfect veil that is going to look amazing for my October destination wedding in Jamaica. Come to find out, the dress was on sale this weekend, too, so I came in under budget. Tracie, the manager, was also helpful in looking up the production time and what other colors I could order the dress in to be sure I would get it in time. This was an awesome one-and-done shopping experience for me and I can’t wait to wear my dress!!!!

I am a bridesmaid in a wedding out of town so I called David’s Bridal asking if I could come get measured. The woman on the phone was super nice and said it was no problem and I could come in. I clarified that I wasn’t purchasing my dress there and wanted to make sure that it was still okay. She said yes. I went in the next day to get measured and they did the reach around business and got my numbers. She then referred to a size chart and told me my numerical size. Then she said “but I have to tell you this is specific to davids bridal dresses only.” I blinked. “Okay, well I am not getting my dress here. I called yesterday and they said it was fine. Can I just have the measurements.” SHE SAID NO!!!!!!! I can respect a store policy but don’t tell someone to come in if ALL YOU CAN OFFER IS WASTED TIME AND GENUINE DISAPPOINTMENT. Also let me share something about customer service with you. Just because someone isn’t buying today doesn’t mean they won’t be tomorrow and when tomorrow comes I won’t be going to David’s!!!!

Staff are nice and polite but they get pretty busy even with appointments on the weekends. Best time for good one on one attention is during week. Alterations: Sydney L. helped me with alterations and was pleasant to chat with! Can't wait to see how my bridesmaid's dress turns out. She was very open to what I wanted and I felt that she would do a great job. Alt Pick up: Angela helped me and when I tried on my dress it was dirty. She tried her best to remove stains but it didn't work. Her managers at the time had her tell me the dress was prone to discolorations and so it was just part of the dress. My dress is the Wine color. That disappointed me since I knew it was clean before this day and it was brand new because I had ordered it online. I was told that I could get a new dress and refit and redo alterations but I don't have time for that since the wedding is out of town and we'll be leaving this weekend. I left a review for my experience that night and Stacey, the store manager, called me the next day to apologize and offered me a percentage off my expenses there. I had already remedied the issue myself by washing my dress with a prewash when I got home. I appreciate Stacey's effort to try and fix the issue. The employees that helped me were nice. I was just disappointed in the condition of my dress.

I was very disappointed with my experience at Davids Bridal. Yesterday, I went to find my MOH dress and every time I would come out to be zipped up, my consultant would be talking with another consultant about a bride that was there picking out her wedding dress. The store was not busy and she was not the consultant for the bride, she just didn't have any interest in helping me. She didn't even ring me up. Hopefully not all the consultants are like her.

Today I went to the store with out an appointment, I Originally went in to try on maybe one dress or be sized so that I could place an online order as my family’s schedules and mine were clashing on a day to do an official all out dress shopping day ,But as it was a week day and not to extremely busy I ended up trying on a hand full of dresses and saying yes to my dress . I want to say Melanie Was my consultants name but forgive me if I’m wrong I’m horrible with names , was amazing . She never hesitated to help me in and out of gowns and was just as excited as I was when I found the perfect dress , although a little more then I had intentionally planned to spend my dress is perfect , eveything I could have dreamt of and still within a reasonable budget. Not only did this sweet soul make me feel important and beautiful today and completely support me in my decisions , but she helped keep my one year old son entertained . My experience was 10/10 she helped me face time my maid of honor And mother in-law so it was like they were there with us. To find out that this was only her third day shocked me beyond belief as she was beyond helpful and kind today .

Spent the majority of my appointment with the consultant beside us with her customer than with me. ETA: It won't allow me to respond, but the consultant wasn't helping the other consultant with her customer. They were talking about who's staying late, weekend plans, & hours.
