Wonderful little shop! We go there with our son to get costumes which he loves. The experience is always great there and prices are similar to those you would find online. It's so fun for kids to be able to go there and the people who work there are always so nice and accommodating. They also have a huge variety of costumes there that may not be on display but they keep in the back. For example, my son wanted a Thor costume and there were many he could choose from. This place is tiny, cramped and over flowing with costumes. I was concerned that it was going to take forever to find my outfit, which was a Pirate costume I needed for the Yelp Pirate Takeover on the Liberty Belle (great event by the way) To my surprise Trucos is actually pretty well organized. The young associate took me to a computer screen and told me to scan through the images for a pirates costume that I liked and she would bring it out for me to try on. Pretty simple huh? It was because 15 minutes later I was out the door with my costume and accessories and spent less than 40 bucks for costume, vest, eyepatch and sword. BOOM! On to the cliffs Pros: Looks can be deceiving Relatively inexpensive (way cheaper than party city) Actually pretty organized and was a quick shopping experience, was out in 15 minutes Friendly staff Costumes fit nicely and wasn't to hot Cons: Very cramped inside Gives the illusion of hopelessness due to the mess No returns or exchanges so try everything on before u leave All costumes aren't one size fits all, so have a couple back up options ready.

I needed white go-go boots in a hurry for a performance and this was the only store close by. I found the staff very friendly not only on the phone but also in the store. I especially appreciated that even though the store is located in a Hispanic neighborhood and all of the employees seem to be Hispanic, they greeted me and spoke to me with clear and fluent English.
