I go to a ton of thrift stores in South FL and this one is a dont bother...I had high hopes because it is quite large but be warned it is cash only and there are constant announcements on the speakers that literally make you feel like a bother that you are even there. Just my opinions but I would rather go to the 2 other thrift stores that are in this plaza before I go back here.

Best thrift store in Miami with great finds including weird old and new items from all over, a good book selection, lots of clothes and some furniture and it all varies day to day. I have been going to Flamingo plaza since the 90s and it's partially for the finds but more for the experience. For the uninitiated to Flamingo Plaza and Hialeah it's crazy: it can be crowded and hectic and a bit on the grimey side (as all thrift stores are). But for thrifting its great. Ps: try to avoid the weekend rush.

I used to go regularly (about once a week or so) to this location for years. For the last two years or maybe more i noticed there wasn't any good cd's, vinyls (especially), or video games. I always noticed as well an old skinny man, Bob i believe, who sports a cap who i would assume works there but always walks towards the vinyl section to stock more. However for a long time i began seeing him walk off with very good records, most times ive seen other people stand by the back where he is sorting out the "good" stuff and the rest gets placed as stock. What if i wanted to buy some of those? What if others are too? Are they able to just keep the good stuff or are they selling them to others for a profit? I wonder who runs this place anymore! Completely dissatisfied and disappointed to watch this happen; makes me wanna tell everyone i know to avoid it.

We were longtime customers there and although we did find great items from time to time, we did notice that the management treats the employees like total garbage. The wonderful ladies that work the floors putting out merchandise are afraid to say anything negative for fear of losing their jobs! I have noticed that the manager has favorite employees and I have even seen her taking merchandise out from the back of the store. They give certain customers special prices and hold merchandise for them. Their is a guy who is a book dealer by the name of Ron who is a large grey haired nasty man who shops their that tries to bully people around and cause problems. There is also a young punk with black hair that he keeps in a ponytail with a beard that stands just outside the backdoor inside the store waiting to grab all of the toys to resell them. Two of the assistant managers were even taken out in handcuffs a few months ago for allegedly stealing from the store. The main managers name is Maite and her assistant's name is Nieves. These two devils are the main problem in that store. Yesterday they even made people check in their fanny packs and they are even throwing away merchandise. In the past, I even complained to their corporate office and was treated like garbage by the person I spoke with. It has gotten to the point that you cannot even go into the store to shop in peace. Stay away from this store, the finds are not worth the trouble!

The regional manager needs to clean house and throw all these bums out than they would be forced to find a honest way to make a living. You cant miss this pack of piranhas. They look like circus monkeys starved for affection running around in circles trying to find scraps of food off the floor. I could mention some other people like THE GREEKS, but they aren't nearly offensive as the others.This place really needs to be broom swept. BTW some say the girls in the back are bribed by the piranhas.They buy things for the employees in exchange for favorable treatment. EL QUE MUCHO ABARCA MUCHO APRIETA !!

I see everyone talking about all these people but more should be said about that Fat pig, This guy goes around all of Miami scanning every book in site, I mean I see this guy in estate sales, every goodwill imaginable , Garage sales, thriftshops and even libraries when they have their annual sales. This guy is as nasty as they come, he's a bully (when the other person is a woman or an old fragile man) he's always picking on this skinny old man who buys records, he pushes him around and even tried to run him over with his car once. His name is Ron the pig or atleast that's how they know him in the store or his other name "El lechon" he truly lives up to his name. All he does besides picking on people is give complaints to the store management and the employees.. If he only knew that these people can't stand him, he was even yelled at by the former manager for opening up new DVd's that were sealed , for what? god knows ? People believe he steals the DVd's and Cd's but this hasn't been proven yet,but he'll slip one of these days. Please feel free to check out his account on amazon, he goes by the name "rssbooks " , If you ever walk in there you'll either recognize him by the bad breath, his mentally challenged looking face or his attitude if you even look at a book while he's there. He even went around for months in other stores telling everyone he could find that this couple got banned from Red white and blue, and because of that, they were banned from all the others. They told me they couldn't wait to run into him in person. He's super racist , I always hear him saying he hates Hialeah and how no one speaks English but yet he goes there to make money and exploit the same people he calls ignorant. He fills a basket full of DVD's and Cd's and sits his large ass on one of the sofas that's for sale (that says please don't sit) like a giant seal or a blob just scanning everything. I dare anyone to ask him, what his scanner is for or if he can do them the favor of scanning something to see what it's worth? He'll throw a hissy fit like a little kid, turn all red and sweaty and it honestly looks like he's going to have a heart attack of how upset he gets. He pushed an elderly ladies stuff out of the way just for asking. He even pushed another old lady just for looking at a book in his basket.
