Great place to find party needs. There are also items for adult parties - baby shower, weddings, bachelor/bachelorette parties, graduations, etc. The store is organized pretty well, and aesthically pleasing. Sales associates are helpful when you can find them. If you're buying the candy pieces, it's a hassle having to count them one by one, they should sell it by the lbs to make it easier.

My employer purchased tons of helium balloon "bouquets" for a multi-day event. They looked fantastic! Not only that, but the staff "freshened" them in between the event days so they looked great by refilling the wrinkly ones with helium. They didn't roll their eyes or seem the slightest annoyed to freshen the balloons at no charge--they were eager to please. I can't think of the last time I had customer service this friendly and willing to help. I was really impressed!

I had to get a last minute mask for my company's annual awards banquet. We had a theme party, Mardi gras and I had to get a mask and those bead necklaces. Fortunately, Party City was Open late, I think til 9pm and they had a wide selection of mardi gras costumes and masks. It was also super cheap. It worked out well. There's only 1 Party City on Oahu. Party City really does have every party supply you might need. The service, though, really varies depending on when you go. Be prepared to wait a while in line, even if it isn't that crowded. Sometimes that is not the case, but it really depends on the staff that is there.

There were only four ppl in line with two registers open and they took so long to ring up anyone that we finally had to leave before getting our purchases. Walked right out of the store and left the cart because I literally couldn't stand anymore. I wish I'd timed it had to be easily 20min and the line didn't move once.

Called in to do a balloon order for the following day and was informed they ran out of helium and aren’t taking any balloon orders, but that I could buy a helium tank for the 3 balloons I wanted. Seriously? What kind of party store runs out of helium?? And instead of encouraging customers to pay for a tank if they need a balloon — why don’t you guys open those up and use them? No thanks, I’ll go somewhere else.

Nice to have places like this around. That said the last few times I stopped in I found the staff to be a little less than friendly or helpful until I got to the checkout which wasn't all the helpful at that point. In their defense they were extremely busy both times and I did find what I needed (on my own which took forever). I'm sure I'll be going back again though.

I went in on a Saturday to look at some balloons and buy some supplies. Before I left I asked the cashier what time does the store close on Monday. She replied 9 pm. So I left and came back on Monday It was 8:29 pm they close at 8:30. NOT only did she not tell me the correct time but when I asked if they were closed she nodded yes and just smiled at me. So I was unable to make the purchase I told the cashier I needed to make( it was the same lady from Saturday whom I spoke to). Thank you, you ruined my surprise. And I thought you guys closed at 8:30 not 8:29 (people walked in 1 min before or even less, I had just parked when the last guest walked in before me). Worst store I've been too.

The Mrs. is looking forward to going to a 20's themed soon, so she figured let's try party city. The roaring 20's was a time marked by stunning outfits glamorous people who knew how to dress. Check out the movie, The great Gatspy and you'll see what I mean. It is a good thing Party city have a lot of accessories the wife was looking for to complete her atire. They even had few things for me to add to the feel of that particular period of time. The prices were reasonable and not too crazy either. I would definitely recommend you going to party city for your parties needs. If you are looking for hard to accessories for guys, gals, and little ones this is your place. I'm glad we got one here.

I received the worst customer experience of my life in this store. I was trying to find a grass skirt for a Halloween costume and had already been to another store. The website said that this location had 5 in stock so I headed over. After fighting through the craziness of last minute Halloween shoppers I found an employee to ask about the skirt. She informed me very bluntly that they were not in season so there were none in the store (while chewing on a big piece of blue bubble gum). I tried explaining to her that their website said that they had some in stock to which she just shrugged and again repeated that they were out of season (and continued chewing on her big old piece of bubble gum). I have never been so infuriated leaving a store. I have worked in the customer service industry for most of my life and have never seen such horrible customer service before. It was quite a shock going from the first store where I was warmly greeted and regretfully informed that they did not have the grass skirt to this store where I was treated as an annoyance. I really wish I had gotten the employee's name but hopefully she will be recognized by her bad attitude and blue bubble gum (which btw is very unprofessional to chew on the job).

Its the only party city near us so I go for the birthday party themed merchandise two to three times a year.The store has a slight unkempt look to it. At my most recent visit the newer staff at the registers lacked a level of maturity-ie, my cashier having to childishly push away the hands of another cashier from the register, because she wanted to type in an item code into the keypad. In past visits there has been odors of cigarettes wafting through the store, originating from the back room. The aisles for checkout are far too narrow, and the pricing can be inflated.

You can go to different stores, Walmart, Longs, Walgreens our Target. Or you can come here for a one stop place to pick up all of your party supplies. Whether its for decoration or goodie bags, this is the first place that I go to. You can possibly find similar things at other locations, but between driving and time, you save coming to this place. The biggest complaint I have is the lack of parking. It is a challenge at best on the weekends.

Drove pretty far out of my way just to get a number 1 gold balloon for my daughters first birthday, but when I got there they told me it would be at least an hour wait. I understand they have orders they need to fill that are called ahead, but for a customer to come in and only need one balloon and be expected to wait for an hour is kind of ridiculous. They had 4-5 people blowing up balloons. Needless to say I will be driving to publix to pick up a balloon.

I’ll admit, I was in a major rush and appeared to be so while in the store. However, I’m certain I was never rude just astounded that someone could come in to purchase a bouquet of 10 helium filled latex balloons and be told I have to wait hours for them to be ready. Beware, you need to have an order placed from an earlier day to get balloons here. The thing that bothered me most was when I came back 20 mins later to pick up the balloons I heard a lady at the counter announce as I was walking in “she’s back” in a very condescending and rude manner. To the lady who said she could get my balloons done in a 20 minute window instead of hours, I thank you, from the bottom of my heart. You saved a little girls first lemonade stand. Customer service is everything. If it were my store I’d always allow a little leeway in fulfilling customer wishes that are within reason. What I asked for wasn’t much and I’m guessing it didn’t throw your other orders off to where anyone would notice. I’ll be visiting other Party City stores in the future. Better, friendlier service is worth a drive.

Excellent customer service!! I called this Winter Garden party city because the Apopka one was out of the large 1 & 8 balloons that I needed for my daughter's 18th birthday party. They had it and held them to the side for me. When I got there they had already blew them up also! Yayyy! The exceptional customer service shown has made this location my go to for party needs. It is very busy on the weekends but they have a full staff working and the wait time is still less than most party city locations. Love it and keep up the great work. Fyi - the store manager is super cute!

This party city is the only closest party city located around my area after they closed the one down by powers on West colonial 50, so I go here quite a lot. It's like these people never work on their customer service . This is a party store! Everyone is so sour and rude with INCORRECT INFO 70% of the time. It doesn't matter what time you call or what day you call they always automatically put you on hold for seven minutes or more . I called today to find out how much a dozen of latex balloons would cost to be blown up , and I'm automatically on hold for seven minutes..finally someone takes my call . The "rep" on the phone HAD NO CARE IN THE WORLD THAT I WAS ON HOLD FOR 7 MINS. Literally they pick up, greet you and place you on hold! I tried to explain to the guy that this happens quiet a lot and he just possessed a "I DONT CARE ATTITUDE AND TONE". Literally you guys he told me I can call 1800-party city to complain. UN FREAKING BELIEVABLE! I asked him for his name and he goes "IM THE STORE MANAGER and my name is ANTHONY MEDINA" and he hung up! If I could give zero stars I would! I feel so sorry for any customers who has to ask these people questions. Kindness, a positive attitude and empathy no longer exists in customer service with this place.

Came in looking for a Halloween costume for my son. Unlike other locations there was no one around to get a costume for you. Went to the front to get help where the manager and 2 employees were filling one balloon order. So I stood there watching them watch the manager. Finally one of them stood in front of me, I guess she was going to help me but she said nothing. So I initiated the conversation by saying Hi to see if she was really helping me or just wanted to stare at my face. I asked her about a costume, no one walked over to see which one I was looking for. I pulled it up on my phone and they said no they didn't have it. No one checked or anything. It left me feeling helpless. Luckily the store right behind it had it, and the kids working there were more helpful and really nice.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! Went to this store on 6/20/19. The had a section of summer water items on clearance. The store was in complete chaos. The back of the store has sun glasses scatted all over the floor and had to turn around because the buggy wouldn’t fit by it. Several items in the regular section did not have price tags and not in correct spots. After my shopping experience, I went to checkout. None of the clearance items were ringing up correct. The cashier told me they were not on sale. I told her where I got them from and she asked me to go check. I went and verified, and she then requested me to go back and look at the original price. I told her I was handicapped and I couldn’t keep going back and forth. She just stared at me. I apologized to the people behind me, and they said no problem that it wasn’t my fault. I went back and took a picture of the clearance item. Came back and showed it to her then she stated she would have to call a manager. The manager comes, and explains to me that it should ring up the correct price and sale prices came in blue. I told her that wasn’t my problem. I requested that her, or an associate, go to that section and verify. Which they never did. So, once again i explain that I’m handicapped and could they go verify that I’ve already been over there two additional times. Once again, blank stares. So, I walk back over there and take pictures of every item I bought. Then the manager attempts to take 20cents off the items. Excuse me, here is the price tag showing the items half price or lower. I was extremely polite, as well as my 4 year old grandson who was talking to everyone. The associate and manager could have cared less to help me. I’ll go back in today to get names. Horrible. Horrible. Horrible.

I had two. I am a huge party city fan and was so happy they started offering a military discount. BUT... I am very disappointed with this party city. I came in with some balloons to blow up for my daughters birthday party and they would not help me because I didn’t buy from them. Well I tired but they didn’t carry JOJO Siwa balloons. I didn’t care how much it would cost I just wanted them blown up. Like they were going to make the same amount of money either way. How are you going to turn away money? There attitude also sucked greatly. Thank you very much SAFEWAY for helping me out. I was very happy to give Safeway $40 bucks to blow up a few balloons.

I'm tired of Party City, every location I've been in lately from Illinois, Indiana to Iowa reminds me of going to Family Dollar or a dollar store, with extremely long check-outs, it's like their hand making the party supplies. For this kind of wait and service I should have lower prices but no, everything is over priced. This particular location had no helium on a Saturday, it's a level C or D organization with A prices, just go to Dollar tree or Dollar general at least you'll get a fair price for less than service.

Way overpriced for costumes made of laughably cheap fabric and terrible sewing. The "standard" size for the costume I picked showed a well fitted model who was stated to be 5'7" and 180 pounds. Being 5'7" and 160 I figured it would fit. In actuality it would probably fit well on someone over 6'2" and 400 pounds. Of course they have a no return policy... luckily the wife was able to take the shirt and pants apart, cut the fabric down to size and resew the whole thing. You might find some decent small items or props but stay away from the full costumes. Total rip off.

Biggest and best place to find party gear on the island. Large store with lots of selection of items. They do run out of popular items as they don't stock vast quantities but have instead a lot of selection. If you need something you can wait for Tuesday shipments but it may not be coming in that shipment. Plan ahead and shop over a month before your party so you can potentially order online and have it shipped. Just know that there is a $10 hawaii surcharge and bulky items can cost a fortune to ship.

The man helping us with balloons was incredible! He was nice and patient with us as this is the first time we bought balloons here. This review would've gotten 5 stars for his amazing service, however it has gotten 2 stars because of the GM of the store. She rudely interrupted the man getting us balloons to complain about him curling the strings by the base of the balloons and the balloon weights. I couldn't believe that she would even get mad about that because I would've have thought that was standard. If he didn't do it, then I would've asked him to which would've taken more time. I'm completely shocked by that and her behavior towards the staff. Even Dollar tree will take the time to curl the strings for you even if it takes just a bit longer. The GM needs to reevaluate her priorities, rules and costumer service.

This store looks super huge from the street, but it is tiny and crammed. There are no parking spaces for this location. I had to park at Lowe's and walk over. Also the employees are very rude. They stand in your way stocking while you are trying to shop. The employees never ask if you need help or say hello. They were too busy talking about their schedules. Customer service isn't their number one priority. Unfortunately you don't have many options on an island.

Went for a costume for my daughter. All pictures of the costumes were numberwd along the back wall. I told the number we wanted to the gentleman with a handheld and he directed us to the other side of the store where we stood in line for 45 minutes just for them to tell me they didnt have that number of costume in stock. It was a complete waste of time. They need to find a more user friendly way of doing this.

Worst customer service experience I have ever had. We went to party city to get 4 large letter balloons filled and in the process the employee popped one of our balloons. They refused to replace it and we ended up paying close to 50 dollars for all 4 new balloons as they didn't have one that matched the one that they ruined. They then refused to refund us for the helium charge on the the 2 other balloons from our original set (that was useless to us) that they had already blew up. Not one apology or attempt to make things right. Please do not give this store your business, they are rude and unwilling to work with their customers.

Super slow. Had time to write a review while waiting in line of two people. took 10 minutes to get checked out and have to wait another 15 for them to inflate three balloons. Defiantly never going here again.

The selection is great, I got normal latex balloons, they put this stuff in them to make them last longer, I didn't even know that was an option. I will definitely go back, as this was my first time.

Rude clerks. The place was ransacked by customers and no one seemed to want to pick anything up. Customers were tripping over items on the floor. There were some decent clerks there, don't get me wrong but overall it was a bad experience due to customer service.

Usually has what we need, but takes a while to find it. Very unorganized when you get to the back of the store. Though there are signs showing what is in that 3 foot area, there is absolutely no pattern of general items in a isle or row. It's very confusing. Usually get what I need though. During holloween, this place can get hectic. People are everywhere, which is understandable because this is the only decent costume shop in Albany. But last costume I got for my brother was missing half of the components, so we went back in the store and it took 40 mins to find the other parts, and they didn't even find it. They just gave us whole other package. All the costumes my brother wanted originally were sold out or not in stock. So we had to settle for one that he barely liked. If you hate balloons, don't go here. Balloons are constantly being blown up or popped and yes, it does make that horrid noise throughout the store when they're blowing one up. Overall, it's decent, but has alot of room for improvement.

Contrary to some other comments regarding rude or lazy employees, I had a great experience. Spent a bit of time there and was pleasantly surprised by the array of items and great pricing. I definitely will be coming through this store again when in need of fun props or party items. Bit of a drive from CDA, but still worth it in my opinion.

I was really disappointed in the store, it was a mess. There were a lot of empty shelves that needed to be stocked. The checker was very nice. I won't return. The $ store is more organized.
