This H&M obviously only caters to teenage girls and their mothers. No bathrooms. Only one seat per floor. Workers tell you to move if you try to sit anywhere else. Gotta hike an Aztec Pyramid to get to the men's/kid's section. The men's section doesn't have any size larges restocked. I'll visit one of their other locations from now on.

They have signs pointing to plus (14-24) sizes, but do not carry then anymore. Don't re-directed me to the Gretna store when I'm shopping in the French Quarter! Also, the security guard quite rudely asked us not to sit on the corner of the steps, when there were no benches available, just one tiny stool - there were two of us. I understand fire code, but these stores are in a family vacation area, so give parents a break!

This is a great store. In a great area. Upscale yet affordable clothing. Always have lots of things on sale. Never go here without buying something. Highly recommend this place if you havent ever been here before. They have many different brands to choose from. Some of them are exclusive to H&M. You can't go wrong with buying your clothes here.

I came to return an item, but was told their system was down. That’s fine not abig deal because I live near by and could stop my later. I asked if they had an idea on the timeframe so I knew when to return. Apparently, that was the wrong question to ask . This bigger Hispanic woman with curly hair said in a rude and condescending town to call corporate and ask. Smirked and laughed. I’m so confused as to why she resorted to responded like that. I asked a simple question in a monotoned voice. However, the African American gentlemen with her was kind and apologized for store inconvenience. Overall, What just happened?

Nice clothing bit very poor customer service. I am 60 years old a d my buddy was with who is 59. We asked for help several times and were completely ignored. This horrible service was y 4 different young ladies. We were looking for 3 and 5 year old clothes and didn't have clue where to go and what to look for when we asked. Management has hired at least 4 incompetent workers. Doubt I will be back. The poorest service I have ever received. Very disappointed and management is responsible. Maybe take their cell phones away while working ??????

Compare to Oak Park mall, This location is so much bigger and better sections. (men's, women's and kids). So I always check this location first. The price is very inexpensive and they usually have my size(if your size wasn't available, you can order in store to avoid the shipping cost).

H&M.. I love visiting this store. So why you ask, did it get only three stars? Well, a couple of reasons. First, it was a weekday.So, fewer tourist and the store wasn't very busy. That was the great part. The not so great part is that the store was tore up! It was a mess. There were clothes everywhere. All in all, just a general disarray. I am not a digger. I want to look at a rack ad make a decision, Second, the prices, especially the clearance area, was not priced as advertised. The sign would say one thing and then almost everything would have a different priced sticker on it. Confusing to say the least. Third , and last, other than the cashier the sales associates were not at all friendly or helpful. They were interested in resetting the shelves they were working on, but not at all in helping customers. So, while I enjoy the clothing in H&M I am not in love with this particular store.

Limited sizes and 'throw away' quality clothes without the throw away prices. Ties were $30. That should be enough of an example. I can get Express ties for that price. The shirts looked and felt like they would just shrivel and shrink up the second you wash 'em. Worst of all though, they don't offer sizes for taller people. I'm 6'3, 210 lbs. I'm tall, but there are a LOT of people out there that share my build. An H&M large is high-waisted. An XL feels like a smock. Old Navy, American Eagle, and numerous other stores at least offer LT sizes on their website, giving me some sort of option. Wake up retailers. You're alienating customers when you don't carry their size. It's doubly aggravating when I feel like I'm not THAT tall, and I'm not fat. I will give them props for carrying 34 inseams in pants. A lot of places stick mainly to 32 inseam. So if they can make pants for tall people, surely they can get around to making shirts, right?

If you shop online and get a really good deal using a larger percentage, it isn't honored in the store with an even exchange. I was offered $4 back on a sweater I paid $12 for. So I kept the sweater (which we already had 2 of- not sure if it was my mistake or theirs) and paid the $9 bucks for the new item.

Rounding up from 2.5*, honestly. I want to love this store - it’s big, it has a decent sized kids section and it’s typically fairly empty (my pet peeve about H&M stores in general are the loooooong checkout lines!!). However, despite having all this potential, this store manages to disappoint every time I visit. Some constructive criticism by way of explanation: during weekdays the store is pretty quiet and you get a fair few mother’s with babies/toddlers checking out the great kids clothing, BUT it’s almost as if you are actively trying to repel them with the excessively LOUD music that, for some asinine reason, is playing loudest in the kids section?! The music itself is good - the volume is repellent. All over the store the racks are over crammed with product - you can’t find sizes easily, you can’t browse without knocking down several hangers - what is going on with merchandising? And finally, the promise of an empty or almost empty checkout line, slowly leads you to the dawning realization that you must have stepped into a rip on the time-space continuum where everything moves so slowly you’re not sure if you might be traveling backwards in time?! How else could you explain being the next in line for 11 minutes?!! Seriously, these are really easy things to resolve H&M - please make the call as to whether you wish to sell product or not and do the right things, pls!

Came in this morning to catch a sale I noticed was going on earlier this week. We'll upon shopping..... associates started taking signs down when I asked what was going on they told me the sale ended yesterday. Why were the signs up at the opening of business today? I asked if they were still going to honor the sale which states and additional 30 percent off of clearance items they immediately told me no. When I went to checkout and asked the cashier if the sale could be honored because of signs still being up she told me no as well. I stood in line and called customer service who agreed that they should honor the sale. Customer service put me on hold to call the store and speak with the manager to tell him to honor the sale. I heard him tell the associate at checkout to honor it and customer service came back to my line and told me they were going to honor the sale thanked me for shopping with H&M. I get to the register and told the associate I'll take my things behind the counter with the additional 30 percent please and she looked me dead in the eyes and stated we arent doing that sale anymore..... I responded with the fact that customer service just spoke with her manager who I heard with my own ears tell her to honor the sale. She leaves to go speak with him and comes back and tells us that the sale will be honored but with the 30 percent taken off the entire purchase not each item like its suppose to be. Instead of fighting I just allowed her to return what I bought re ring it with the other items I wanted and give me the 30 off the whole thing but the problem is she never did the return in the first place. I was charged 64 dollars for the first purchase and 73 for the second. I asked if the return was done properly because she never asked for my card that I paid with and she didn't give cash either. She assured me that the money was returned but my bank statement shows I was charged twice for the same clothes. Now I'm standing here while the manager is apologizing for the associates mistake and doing my return in full. Turns out with the sale being rang properly I should have only paid 50 dollars for my purchase! Glad they have a very understanding manager. If the associate just honored the sale in the first place all of this could have been avoided...... Even just following customer service orders could have avoided me double paying for the same clothes and having to go back and have the manager re ring everything after returning everything. I see why people have stopped shopping in H&M its too much of a hassle with the associates taking things personally when it's just business. Ive worked as a retail manager for 7 years and when you miss a sale sign you honor it for that customer and that's it! Also glad to have dealt with a different manager then the man that was here earlier telling his associate to honor the 30 percent off of the entire purchase instead of each item as it should have been. Team members like this are what makes a good business suffer in the long run! Last time shopping at H & M.

We had an experience with highly unethical employees and fraud at this store. 1. My daughter had a crystal NYC ski hat which she left in a dressing room. When she immediately went back to retrieve it, they told her it was lost. We went back to the store two hours later and it was never found. 2. I had FOUR additional unauthorized charges on my credit card. I have contacted Merrill Lynch and they are disputing. There was only one purchase. We will never go to this store again as apparently this one has not conducted either background checks or does not hire ethical employees. Thank you.

Large and spacious H&M located in a popular area for foot travel. The staff was friendly, helpful and very engaged. They were very polite and smiled frequently. Not quite the array of clothing options that I have found at other H&Ms, but I guess it makes your shopping experience swifter. The home section is a bit messy, but diverse. The dressing rooms floors were gross by the way. But I would return.

We have an H&M at Woodfield mall, but this one seems better organized and stocked. Had good deals which we couldn't miss. The male section seems to be disproportionately smaller, but still offering enough. Can't lie - love that UNIQLO is next door. Both didn't have restrooms which is a thumb down.

Don'tcha just love disposable clothes? Don'tcha? I would not wear this stuff at opening night at the opera (actually, maybe) but you really can't beat some of it. It really comes down to how often you wear it. It can be good in a pinch, especially tee's, bathing suits, and odd bracelets and trinkets. Oh, and that one pair of no pleat slacks that fit just right. This store is not large and is kept very organized. I'm sure corporate makes sure of it. Staff was nice enough. No arty the upseller so I'm a happy camper all in all.

The staff were standing around chatting instead of helping customers who were lined up waiting to purchase items. The lady who helped me had really long and dirty fingernails. No one offered to help me when I was looking for something. I purchased clothing for my husband (great sales going on) and I was looking for lingerie. The lingerie selection is pretty terrible. This H&M is very clean and well kept, and there's more room to navigate the sections than in other locations. The employees working while I was there were all nice and helpful. The fitting room was a little tight and the lights surrounding the mirror and directly in your eyes makes it difficult to see, but there was no wait to get in so that was nice.

Extremely rude! The store was supposed to be open for another 10 minutes and employees were practically chasing us out of the store and dirty looking us. We had our selection and were checking out at 9:50 and they were all huffy puffy about us being there still. I understand you are young and it is a Friday night in NOLA but I bet your managers expect you to stay open until 10pm. This just now happened so if a manager wants to see who was working the men's register this evening you will have your rude employee that you need to address.

Came to this location hoping to buy clothes for my teen boys while we were in town for a family event. This location does not carry ANY TEEN CLOTHES. The employee at the location informed me they actually dont carry any size larger than a 10y, so my only option would be to buy mens sizes, which is more expensive. Not only did i waste my time coming to this location, but i spent $15 dollars to park in the adjacent lot. This store is quite large (2 floors) and has more than enough space to accommodate teen clothing, as its only an addition of 4 more sizes. Very disappointed...

I was in the store 2 weeks ago and spent $170 and was satisfied with my purchase. As my girlfriend and I were checking out the cashier told us to donate our old clothes and get 15% off our entire total. We were planning on donating things to a thrift store that weekend and she told to instead bring our donations to the store and bring our receipt back with all the tags attached and they would refund me the 15%. We traveled over an hour back to the store today to do this (still within the return period). We brought in our huge bag of donations and the receipt with all the tags. We spoke with Betsy the manager who told us that this wasn’t possible because we didn’t have the clothes to prove we purchased it. We explained to her that her cashier told us we didn’t need to bring the clothes and to just bring the tags. The manager and the other employee at the counter made it seem like it would have been the biggest inconvenience for them to do this for us. It was horrible customer service and the manager handled herself very unprofessionally.

When I worked at the French quarter store alot of the staff would have there friends come In and steal. It was not a secret what was going on and who was doing it. The music was sometimes about sex one song was called let's have relations which is totally inappropriate for a store that people bring there children to.the managers Richardo,Juan, Tiffany and Hope had the nastiest attitudes and stayed keeping up with mess. This location specifically is like a funeral home. The staff always make me feel like I'm a burden to them or as if they just burried someone dear. Each time I walk in there hoping that maybe once I'll deal with a cashier that will genuinely interract with me and maybe, just maybe, even smile. I'm not saying you have to jump with joy like Tom Cruise on Oprah's couch, but c'mon, make an effort, people. H&M corporate, please consider a raise or some incentives for these poor individuals. Staff is helpful and knowledgeable of their merchandise. My only problem was the security guard, who grabbed me and accused me of theft. I felt as if I was profiled basis my appearance, which is nothing new for me. I was told after the fact that this guard was a temp due to the holidays, which helped but profiling isn't they way to keep people coming back! All and all, I'll be back because of the staff and the quality of their merchandise

I typically like their pants and some of their shirts and that's about it. Most of their other stuff feels cheap (such as the shoes, sunglasses, and sport/suit coats). This makes sense with their low prices (which may be indicative of some unjust labor practices, so if that's an important factor to you, then let the buyer beware).

Poor customer service. Poor cheap quality of clothing. This store is reserved for teenagers and cheap people. You might be getting your clothes for less but I bet you're shopping here often to replace what you just bought not too long ago. I prefer to shop at Gap, Banana, Old Navy and Express. The clothing at those store are of a higher quality and seriously the clothes from any Gap brand store last forever. I'm happy to pay extra and have lasting pieces in my closet, rather than go to stores like H&M and spend less but always have to go back and buy more, because what I just bought is already falling apart. Cheaper isn't better.

Just note that this H&M is a stop and go type of H&M. Grab what you need and go. This H&M is not about having a shopping experience. It's more like ravaging through the thrift store. I went to try on a swimsuit bottom and when I looked down there was period blood in the crotch of the suit. The bottoms were also professionally hung up with the other bottoms. I let the fitting room employees know and all they said was eww. I'm very disturbed and disgusted with this store and disappointed with the employees' reactions. I will never buy anything from this store or this company again.

Was in New Orleans this past labor day weekend. Sunday i saw a nice MTV hoodie i wanted earlier in the day. Didnt want to have to carry a bag around all day while we explore so i ask an employee at the register if they do 24hr holds and he said yes so i left it and told him i would come back before you all close. Fast forward its 9:30pm. I get there and as i was going to walk in this lady security guard stops me saying yall are closed in a rude manner. Mind you im sober, we havent even started drinking so im not coming in loud, obnoxious or anything. Im lookin right at the sign on yalls door saying closed at 10 and told her all i needed was to get my hoodie that i had on hold. She proceeded to be rude told me no and locked the door. I tried calling the store it went to customer service where a guy said he would direct me to the stores line. Once he did i sat on the phone for the longest trying to reach someone but never did and i know for a fact i saw employees by the register. Still frustrated by the dissatisfaction I continued to call throughout this week but customer service line never answered. Whats done is done but i just had to voice my frustration bc you would think with all the negative criticism this company took for having the lil black boy wear a monkey hoodie this company would be the retail version of Chick-fil-A with their customer service but no, i never been outright disrespected like that from a store. If that lady security did that to me just imagine how much paying customers your location has loss because of actions by her and your employees. I had plans with that hoodie for a nice outfit but now that idea is dead in New Orleans cause might i add, that was my last night on vacation

this store is big and most of the time they have really good sale items. they have additional 15% off if you'll bring old stuff like used clothing. I haven't tried it but I saw a lady who brought a small bag of used clothing and she was able to avail 15% off her purchase. Went with a couple senior students from high school. They had graduation money to spend, so they loved it. On my teacher's pay, I felt a bit more restricted. So final conclusion: clothes are really rather cute but a bit pricey. As for the store itself, it was clean and bright and inviting. I do think some extra places to sit would be nice for those people whose traveling buddies are off shopping and we're just waiting around.

Given the usual inflation of shopping prices in the heart of Chicago, this H&M is the place to go for affordable and fashionable items. They have men's, women's, children's, and home living. Everything is pretty straight forward. If you need a fitting room, they have them. The only place I have bought clothes while visiting Chicago.

The store is clean, parking is nearby, and the staff are helpful. There are plenty of fitting rooms so I never had to wait. There is a good selection of clothing at this price range but they often don't have exactly the size / cut you need (but you can easily order it). Of course since it's cheap you are giving up the quality you'd get on much more expensive items. But that's the tradeoff you make. Also even when there is a markdown, it may only be on certain sizes. I was planning on getting a cheap pair of jeans because I had lost weight. But the ones that fit me weren't on sale although the other sizes and cuts were. (And the number of shirts in my size was limited but just enough to get what I needed.) But for low cost workdrobe basics this is an overall good place.

By far the best H&M we have in Louisiana the location on the Westbank is horrible and they never have anything really good as to when you go on the East Bank they always have the best finds and neatest looking cutest looking outfits

Historically I have always hated H&M. It's not cheap and the quality of clothing has been very poor. Thin materials, the cut varies from piece to piece even though its the same item and the same size, poor workmanship. The store has always been an eyesore also, bad lighting, sterile design, most stores dirty and disorganized. Anyway thought I would check it out as its been a while, good improvements. Store is much nicer, sizes held up a little better however I tried on two pairs of jeans, exact same style just different colors, same size, one fit one didnt. Kind of stupid. But most items fit well. Clean and organized, I won't mind going back.

OK, its a younger man's store, at bargain prices. With that said, don't go in there with Dad body, expecting to find Xl, XXL sizes to be all trendy with the younger crowds. Nice store ad staff, but it is affordably priced and equivalent quality items. If you are in a pinch -this is a spot.

LOVE this H&M -- it is three entire floors and unlike other H&Ms, offers both a great men's selection and a robust beauty section as well. Above all, this H&M has an entire floor dedicated to HOME! Amazing! The service is always fast and efficient and most importantly, considering the foot traffic this store sees, it's so clean and neatly organized. It's also always well-stocked with new product and a very unique selection for compared to other fashion retailers in the Midwest. The checkout lines move fast too considering the number of people in-line and there are multiple registers on every floor (although the second floor register is hardly open). 5 stars for making shopping Fast Fashion feel just like a department store.

Dirtiest h&m i have ever seen. Clothes everywhere on the floor and everything is displaced. Wanted to shop but was way too dirty. I decided to shop elsewhere and come back 2 hours later hoping it would’ve been cleaned . When i came the same clothes were on the floor and more. The lingerie section was even dirtier , with underwear on the floor everywhere. This store definitely needs more sales associate on the floor. It is not normal for a store to be that dirty on a calm day.
