Big variety, but the old coil factory they moved into is very musty and dusty. Would not reccomend for asthmatics, and anything bought would need a good washing to get rid the odor. If they could air the place out it would be the top costume shop in the state.

Rude, that's the only word that describes this place. The elderly woman that works there responds to questions as if it's a huge imposition to have to answer you. I own a theater company and was looking for some small props, I went once a few years ago, and went back again thinking maybe it was a fluke...nope, just a witchy as ever! Here's a tip, if you don't like what you're doing...quit!!

The selection is incredibly small and disorganized. There's almost no rhyme or reason to the sections, and it all seems to be DRASTICALLY overpriced Halloween costumes and low quality wigs. The store is dimly lit and neither of the two people there seemed too concerned with helping anyone. I cannot recommend this store to anyone. Ordering online is your safest bet. There's nothing "specialty" about them and late August to early November probably gives better prices for the same options. Avoid at all costs.

This place has so much stuff! It's truly a one stop shop for costuming, makeup, and appliances and props. It can be very difficult to find what you are looking for without asking, so ask the folks who work there, and they are happy to help.

They deserve negative stars. Beyond rude and disrespectful people! My mother bought rigid collodion from them on Halloween night, the bottle was completely empty. She called today to tell them and to get her money back, they put her on hold for 30 minutes and then refused to answer the phone. So we called the after hours number and the wife was BEYOND rude to my mother who had just been placed on hold for a half hour and then completely ignored, asking her if she was the lady she waited on last night that lost her job (What does that have to do with anything really?!), nothing was accomplished, some enraged man got on the phone, yelled into it and hung up. Keep the $10 and the 1 star review and the lovely word of mouth that your poor business ethics will get from me. Over a $10 useless product. Bravo

Don't even waste your time, the employees are rude, unhelpful, and scoff at you for no reason, their costumes are so old they look cheap, and such ridiculous pricing for such outdated costumes with broken peices on them and the gothika contacts they sell are years old and are caked with dust yet they want 60.00 for 1 pair?! It's not worth the eye infection. They need to renovate their store get updated or better looking costumes and wayyy better attitudes......The BEST things they have in there are the props/decorations not designed to be worn etc.

For such a fun store the people here are miserable and rude!!! They are the only place around here and i think that has gone to their heads and they have forgotten that the customer should be treated with some respect. If you have the option of going anywhere else... GO! these people do not deserve a single cent. Its a shame because they do have a lot of options and things most stores dont.

I rented a dress, now would renting you should at least get some or your money back, I was told from the lady " how would we make our money" really lady, charging 90 and not able to give some back will really hurt your pocket. Unfortunately I wasnt able to get the costume I wanted mailed in time, so I had to come here. Yes it wouldve been cheaper to buy online, the price was steep for renting...thanks for being rude and expensive.

A unique, hidden gem along Rt 10 in Plainville. They have it all: Costumes, Props, Sound, Lighting, Special Effects, Makeup, Theatrical Supplies and Sets, Pipe & Drape. If he doesn't have it, he builds or knows where to source it. I've come here for years and find something new every time. Gotta say the review from Sarah Gavel is a bit ridiculous. Why would you expect to rent something and get money back? Her other reviews are all negative too. Trust what you see not what you read.
