A Magical BIRTHDAY experience!!! My DAUGHTER recentlly turned 6 years old and we decided to take her to the Disney store to pick up a good present. When we got there she told everyone that it was her BIRTHDAY, one of the employees said, "well we should probably TEXT Mickey Mouse". A few minutes later my daughters name showed up on the BIG screen along with her favorite Rapunzel song. She was so excited and said "This is my best Birthday EVER". Thank you so much, for making DREAMS come True!

me and my friend went in as a joke to see if whether or not we could touch the back of the store without being asked how we were doing. We managed to do so, all in the fun of games of course! As we walked back to the front to look at some clothes , the people working said to us “wow congratulations on playing a game that isn’t real “ “ so unimpressed “ and they got right on our faces and me and my friend were discouraged because we were just trying to make it a fun time but the way the talked to us was disgusting . Now I’ll never shop there , they’ve lost my service, my friends service and the our families.. sad to say but, you never know how people’s days are going and you just have to get an attitude!

This is a cute store that always has great sales and price points for all shoppers. The workers are super friendly and smiles, which is a rarity these days. Probably the friendliest workers in the entire mall, you feel genuinely welcomed. They have a neat area for kids (or parents) to watch Disney shorts on a huge screen, a nice rest when you've been at the mall all day with kids. My daughter always asks to visit every time we are at Oak Park and we love it.

Every child dreams of this store... I know... I am that child... All the employees always have a smile on their face and truly care about the environment they are creating and of course seeing all the nostalgia from our childhoods and the never ending playlist of Disney songs you want to leave and then scream in your car. It is a decent sized Disney Store that gets a decent amount of foot traffic. So if you are looking to find something that was discontinued still sitting in the store then you might be out of luck. But it isn't a spare store. They keep it stocked.

Does the job for last-minute birthday presents and usually carries the 'in' character that is in the latest hit movie. Wish it was bigger and had more diverse inventory. I love this Disney Store! It is one of the most fabulous stores outside of World of Disney at Disneyland. I love the staff Bridgette and Risse and the manager Stacy are always energetic, sweet and very helpful. I also love the older gentleman who is tall and bald. I forgot his name but I'll never forget his face. He always wears a smile on his face. I have come to this store for two years and the activities for the customers are always fun and entertaining. Bridgette and Risse do a great job of building excitement and make a point to include everyone! We had a blast with the trivia recently and have been collecting our pins for the summer program for kids. There is always something neat to learn about Disney. The princess mirror is a blast and the toy tunnel is also a blast. This Disney Store is well stocked neat and really clean for as many people come through each day. Never a spot on the big glass windows!! They have plenty of seasonal items during the seasons. Flip flops, towels, swimsuits for summer and jammies, mugs and toys and costumes for Christmas and Halloween. I always find what I am looking for in this store. My only wish is that it was a little bigger without sacrificing merchandise space/shelving or there was another store closer to the middle of the island or on the west side of the island. A lot of why I buy Disney items at the store is for the magical experience I feel when I am there with my kids. The drive is worth the experience we get from the staff and the layout of the store. We feel like we at the parks for just a minute. My favorite experience was coming on a Saturday and meeting a cast member from Walt Disney World's Contemporary Hotel. He was celebrating his granddaughter's fifth birthday and a grandson's graduation. He was a blast and helped pass the time before the opening and the raffle for the Elsa and Anna dolls :) Later I met him and his family at the resort as we were checking out of the hotel. It was neat to see them and his granddaughter who got her birthday wish to wear the Elsa dress :)

We enjoy stopping by the Disney store when we are at the mall. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is lovely for children of all ages. I am a big Disney fan myself so I enjoy browsing the different items they have on display. They do not have free bags for purchases any longer, so bring a reusable bag or purchase one at the register.

Obviously there's a lot of cool stuff at the store, and it's a really fun environment for the kids. What surprised me this time was finding things on sale for really good prices, even better than what we saw at Wal-Mart or Target! The Disney Store is a wonderful, magical place full of toys promoting Disney's famous brands including Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars. The Disney premium is added to the price of course which usually makes it impractical to pick up a lot of items here unless there is a special occasion like a birthday or Christmas. However, good sales can be found if you frequent the store regularly. During my visit on this day I was never approached by any staff members or asked if I needed help. I did not purchase anything on this visit.

My husband and I went To This Disney Store On State Street in Chicago On Sunday December 16th. And when we walked into the store the employees are soo friendly and sooo helpful and the atmosphere in the store is incredible and so magical, and I was in search of the shirt pictured below because I wanted to buy it and a wonderful employee named Teresa was soo sweet she was able find it for me and have it on hold until my husband and I got there and as soon as we got to the store they had the shirt ready for me to purchase. I was so happy and excited because this shirt pictured below is exactly what I wanted and is just soo cute and soo perfect, now I can wear it on Christmas Day and I can also wear it When my husband and I go to Disney world. So thank you very much to all of the great and wonderful employees ( especially Teresa ) one of the amazing employees at the Disney store on state street in Chicago for helping me find what I was looking for I really appreciate it.

This store has a great atmosphere that’ll lift your spirits, but the downsides are evident. First, 75% of the merch is aimed at kids, with a small chunk devoted to this bland, uninnovative merchandise aimed at adults, presumably just to compensate for the fact that almost all of the store is kid stuff. For this reason, nothing in this store appeals to me or makes me say “OMG I NEED THIS” with the exception of the princess tiaras and a single costume I eyed and a few mugs and those Ufufys. Second, the inventory is not consistent between this and the Michigan Avenue Store. I went to the SS store for a wedding accessory (just for fun cause I’m not getting married) only to find the MA store has it. Third, you are told the merchandise you’re interested in is sold out even though it’s CLEARLY STILL AVAILABLE ACCORDING TO THE WEBSITE. This actually happened to me a couple of months ago, and I was literally cracking up in laughter when I saw that the item I wanted wasn’t completely sold out and was still in the rack in the same location. I don’t know if it was restocked, but I believe only a week passed between these two visits, so the time span doesn’t excuse this. The cast members need to be more honest about the store inventory so they won’t disappoint us and make us resort to buying from places like eBay and pay exorbitant prices as a result (damn scalpers). Fourth, it’s full of their acquisitions, Star Wars and Marvel. I hate that Disney even bought these properties, because it eliminates any chance for more creative ideas from within. With all the money they’re making, they should open up separate stores and move all that stuff to those so the Disney Store can actually be the Disney Store (again). Finally, the setting is not designed with adults (unless you’re a dwarf), big kids nor people with large figures or the disabled in mind. I’m thin and able bodied, so I can’t speak for the larger or impaired folks. For example, If you’re tall like me, it’s impossible to pass through the Princess castle without risking hitting your head. I’m a Disney fan and I wish Disney Store would cater more to my interest and offer me decent customer service on top.

I love the Disney Store so much, but some of the items are extremely overpriced. I get that they are a licensed Disney Store, however I can go straight down the hall to Hot Topic and get Disney licensed merchandise at a way better price, and they actually have discounts to serve me with. Disney nothing is on sale ever unless you spend some money and then have to wait for a coupon they give you to activate. They really should make their prices more family-friendly in my opinion. The workers there are excellent. They're always very helpful if you are looking for something in particular, and aren't too upset if they help you find it and you end up not buying it because of the price tag.

They stay stocked up on Star Wars! Not much on the direction of the newer movies but we pick up the original movie characters and operate in patients to get the best deals on clearance. Staff is almost too helpful but are friendly. A big let down is to "save our planet" they've stopped providing bags for purchases. But you can buy a reusable one of theirs, not a big deal though. What I do like is that they cater to all budgets, they've got quality according to what you can afford and they're big on sales. Give them a try!

Who doesn't love the Disney store. Love that its offering more selections for kids and adults alike

This was one of these smaller Disney Stores I had ever been in. I actually didn't even know that made them too small. I thought this was supposed to be the big city instead it was small. There wasn't a lot to choose from because of the size of the store but as always their staff was super pleasant. Whether you're at Magic Kingdom or at their stores Disney is always bring it in the service department

I always buy at this store everytime i need something from disney but today i went after work and i had a sweater with the mexican flag and i was dirty because i work doing drywall and a worker, manager or security or i dont know what the f he was from this store was following me all over the store like if i was gonna steal something i know its his work but i didnt feel comfortable bad experience first time it happens i didnt expect this from a store like this

Friendly service and a bright, clean store. It's definitely smaller than many I've been to, but there was a range of items available. Noticed they carry t-shirts to ladies 4x. I don't often see that. Had a small selection of Chicago inspired items including a few shirts and a couple hoodies, however hoodies only went to 2x. Reusable bags are a buck. I always like to buy a few for groceries at home.

I hate that I have to give this store two stars because the staff were friendly and the selection is always great, but when I went to check out the sales associate told me they had no bags and if I wanted I could carry the items in my hand or purchase a bag. I shouldn’t have to purchase a bag, especially when I am already spending money at the establishment and the fact that she even suggested me carrying the items in my hand really irked my nerves!

Decent selection of items if you want stuff from the film of the week but not a lot of the parks merchandise that other Disney stores have in stock. The staff is friendly but corporate makes dumb decisions for them. Charging for bags is obnoxious, especially in an air plaza and claims of being eco-friendly fail to ring true when so many of their products are encased in single-use plastics anyway. I would rate them higher if their selection included more classic Disney / parks items or if they would give me a bag when I'm buying things during a rain / snow storm.

Very nice employees and well organized. Be aware that this is not a Disney outlet. It's just a regular Disney store in the outlet mall. They also have no plastic shopping bags. You either bring your own bag, carry your purchace out, or you can buy a reusable tote from them for 99 cents.

This place is AMAZING. They have SUPER GOOD discounts on tons of Disney merch. I got a hat for $10 and it's holding up amazingly. They also had some cheap, soft clothes, and lots of school supplies and lunch boxes. All Disney fans should stop in here! (Also, the staff was GREAT. So magically happy, and helped me out a lot.)

This is a fun store with friendly staff, the only concern is the location. Oak Park Mall has started to go the way of many of the other local indoor shopping areas and no longer features the middle-upscale charm it used to. The Disney store would do well to head South towards Olathe with a standalone store.

Way better than than the Aulani gift shop. Much friendlier, and you feel welcomed there. They have special activities for kids through the week. Check the cashier area for details since they change activities weekly. You can also buy park tickets there, if you plan of flying to Disneyland, and don't wanna wait in lines to purchase. Don't forget their awesome sales, and clearance rack!
