It's an over priced party store. If you order most of this stuff 3 weeks early you get the same thing for a lot less. It's an over priced dollar store. In fact some of the stuff they also have at the dollar store. With buying it party city there os no 3-4 week wait. It was messy in the store and there was fake blood near the register that was ignored but what do you expect...

I bought party decorations for my daughter's birthday. "Monster High" the only balloons they had came in a pack of 6 so I bought two packs to get 10 at 3 dollars a pack along with a armload of other things. They charged me a dollar per balloon to air them up plus the cost of the balloons. Ridiculous in my book

I came here today to purchase a welcome home ballons for my husband. The lady at the register told me they are out right now. So I asked her if she can call the other location and she rolled her eyes and sighed than said ok to call the other place. Like really. Where is the customer service? So I went to the balloon section and I waited in line only to be ignored by the lady behind me with a deflated balloon to be inflated again. Like really. Customer service is horrible and has been for the 3 years that I've been using the store. Sadly, I'm unaware of other places in the area to get balloons blown up and party supplies. Sales associates are rude, they are quick to hang up on you when you are calling about an order, and they have limited skills at working the cash register. They always seem to be inconvenienced by customers.

The assistant manager “Christin or christy “ I called asking pricing of blowing up balloons and she said 7.99 per balloon and then proceeded to tell me Walmart was out and other places were out basically telling me they were my only choice . I called Walmart and they said they have everything I need and only charge 1.00 per balloon I called her back to inform her that they weren’t out and that she shouldn’t tell customers that unless she knows for a fact . I let her know I would be making a review and she said that me calling her was enough and I shouldn’t write a review but I believe that everyone needs to know where the better deals are and not go somewhere they will be taken advantage of. The store has a large variety of party supplies, but the staff is oblivious to what customer service is. I was waiting in line for 10 minutes for balloons until it was my turn, when I asked for balloons the clerk told me I needed to purchase balloons first. Remove the register from the balloon station if you’re not going to inform the customer that purchases can’t be made at the balloon station! Tip: If you are going to purchase balloons, pre order online or have a really good memory since you have to tell the cashier each number of each balloon you want to purchase.

LIVID. First and last time using Party City for halloween stuff. They keep the costumes in the back and get them for you, unlike the other Halloween stores I've used. I paid $20 for my son's batman costume. Thinking people were actually doing their jobs, I checked out and left. The next day, as I'm hurrying to pick up my son and make it to our Halloween Party and then out for trick or treating, he goes to change into his costume. In the bag, there was nothing but a cheap, flimsy, black jumpsuit. No cape. No mask. No belt. I called the store I got it from, and was informed (after she casually said, "oh, yeah there's an accessory pack that goes with that") that I would have to make the half hour plus drive back to the store right then to get the rest of my costume. I asked if, since I lived out of town, I could come in the next business day and return my 1/4 of a costume that I paid FULL price for. I was cut off and told that no refunds or returns would happen, that the only thing they were willing to do was have me drive back up there and get the rest of my stuff. RIGHT THEN. I again explained that this was not my mistake, that I paid for a product that I didn't receive, and again she snapped that I wouldn't be getting compensated for anything. "I don't know what to tell you, then." I will be in contact with corporate, as this is EXTREMELY bad business. This is inexcusable.

I don't like to leave bad reviews, but I've had negative experiences here more than a couple times. I give the store itself 5 stars because they have SO much stuff. 2 stars for the staff. I don't come here often, but when I do it is the same story. There is no greeting, no offer to help you find something, and you are guaranteed to wait awhile even though you are the only person in line,as the case today. 3 employees behind the counter, none made eye contact or acknowledged me for at least five minutes. I have seen people just walk out and leave their stuff because the wait got ridiculously long and only one employee to check out 10 people (around graduation time this happened). Unfortunately this store has the best selection, but the worst customer service. As a side note I mentioned going to Party City to someone and they agreed about the customer service.

Hi, my name is Bennie Fields and I visited this horrible store on 3/28/2015. My experience at this store was less than favorable and myself nor any of my family in Mobile will ever visit this store again. On 3/28/15 I was throwing my mom a surprise 70`s disco party and had my baby brother to go by that morning and place and pay for the order of balloons that was to be picked up at 5 pm that day. I went to party city online and got the SKU numbers for all the balloons that I needed and texted it to my little brother to show to the associate when he got there. He showed the associate the text and she picked out the balloons and he paid for them. I also had detailed instructions on how the balloons were to be bundled. The associate who rung up the order rung up everything correctly and the instructions was on the receipt as well. Needless to say when I arrived not only was my balloon order completely wrong but I was confronted with a very nasty attitude from Penny and the store manager Randy. When I requested a refund I was told that they would not give me a refund at first, that was until I became a little belligerent. Store manager Randy eventually gave me my refund but the the ticket was for $37.27 and he only gave me $25.50. After I called him on this he then, with an attitude, gave me back my correct refund. My family and myself have been doing a lot of business with party city for years and after this experience we wil resort to other means. I DO NOT SUGGEST THIS PLACE OF BUSINESS TO ANYONE. If I could give less than 0 stars I would. I`ve contacted corporate and I`m awaiting a response.

First of all, if you aren't shopping for a birthday or wedding, you are pretty much out of luck. There are several other occasions represented, but only by a few decorations and maybe one balloon. Second, we may have had greater success had we been able to find any sales staff to assist us. The checkout line was unreasonably long, and the few usable items we found were very pricey. Otherwise, it's a big, bright, incredibly clean store that had we been in search of birthday celebration stuff, we would have hit the jackpot.

As we shopped around we made our decisions and went back to the desk there was a new cashier who had far less patience for our questions. We thought this page had everything you need until we tried to get balloons. We were told we had to call on the day of my son's party to order balloons to pick up that day. We have just called to be told they don't take orders over the phone any more. We are in the middle of setting up for my son's 2nd birthday party. Most of the staff are really friendly, and the general manager is great. I drove from across town when the Foothills Mall Party City didn't have any of their Halloween costumes available- or that's what they told me- and the general manager helped me find the costume (and size!) my daughter has been looking for. The store was overall quite clean- the one area where it was messy was in the back by the masks, but it was more because of kids running wild (despite the employees asking them not to) than because of the staff. If it weren't so far away I'd do all my shopping there- but given the choice between the Foothills store and Walmart, I'll happily deal with the Walmart crowd!

i went there to quickly pick up a birthday sash, and was frustrated when the line was moving slowly. there was only one cashier and 8 people in line. after 20 mins, the only way i had moved forward in line was that 3 people in front of me gave up and left. the cashier ignored our questions until i specifically addressed her by name. the line was now 12 people long, and she was still working on the same person she had been helping since i got into line. finally 2 more cashiers showed up, not sure where they had been hiding in the store before. the entire experience took about 35 mins. definitely wont go again.

Horrible customer service from the manager on duty. The manager on duty (Tonya - pink hair) has no personal skills and doesn’t know how to deal with issues or customers. When I checked out, I sat there waiting for her to finish talking to another employee before I could finish entering my card info. Then when I had an issue, she didn’t listen and if I hadn’t asked more questions, I would have left without a refund. They say they have notices all around the balloon area to notify you of balloon air time but how hard is it for an employee to go a little further to double check that the customer knows. Their notices have stains all over the paper and are ripped almost to shreds (or at least the area I was at was). It wasn’t that I didn’t see the notices that bothered me but the way the pink haired girl handled it. She was somewhat rude and didn’t listen. If I hadn’t of paid beforehand, they wouldn’t have gotten a dollar out of me. The regular employees the last few times I have gone in there have been very polite and seem happy to be at work. Very good customer service from them.
