I visited the Ann Taylor Factory Outlet today at the Tanger Outlets. When entering the store we were not greeted by the sales associate. I found two pair of pants that I wanted to try on. When I walked to the dressing room the associate said come on back. When I asked her which one she rudely responded. There was no friendly customer service, yet when the lady came in behind me she was super friendly and personable. I was very dissatisfied with my experience. I worked retail myself and was always told that no matter what a person looks like they are a customer and should be treated with friendliness and attentiveness. Please let the employee know that just because a person isn’t dressed in an expensive outfit, that doesn’t make them any less of a customer.

I was very pleased with this store. Everything was discounted, most things by 40%. I found lots of things to try on, and the staff were helpful. I noticed they were very patient with customers, and took extra time to sign them up for membership discounts.

On my first visit to this store (I am from out of state) I bought a blouse and when I tried to return it the following day the clerk told me it was a final sale item. I said I had no idea what that means and she said I could not return it. It would be nice if there was a sign or the sales clerk would inform the customers that they could not return such items. I would not have bought it because I knew that I needed to try it with a jacket I had at my hotel and I doubted that it would match, but I was careful to keep the tag on it, the receipt, and even the bag. I don’t live here and I would never shop here again, but I thought I should warn others who might.

I rolled up in jeans and a t-shirt and had no idea what I was looking for. I just knew I needed "business professional clothes" for after I graduate. The first woman that helped me was very kind but I ended up being helped mostly by another woman. She was very kind and was honest with me when something didn't fit or didn't look right. She also went and got me shoes so I could see better with certain pants. She explained that some pants, even though they looked weird to me, that the way they fit was actually the style. I am 5' 10" and had no problem finding pants long enough. The woman was also very understanding that i am more of a clearance rack kind of girl. Every now and them she pulled something full price but wasn't offended when I told her I wasn't interested. They don't make comission so they're actually there to help you!

Great selections of women's suits for those of us that must wear them. There are a variety of styles in various lengths with petite sizing too. The prices can be a little high, but the clothes are really well made. Make sure to visit the sale racks in the back of the store!
