Ritchie Geno, they do not sell new cymbals loaded with stick marks and faded logos unless you bought a used cymbal. I don't work there, but when trying to get a cymbal from the selection from my cymbal, I have to use cotton gloves to keep sweat off of them when coming in on a hot summer day. If you get a new cymbal that was played on my cymbal, well of course there will be stick marks. So you bought a used cymbal and complained about faded logos and stick marks? That's what happens when cymbals are played. If you understood the 21 day process that good cymbals go thru in production, you would understand the price. They have over 10,000 new cymbals to choose from. They must be doing something right. They sent you a cymbal that you beat the daylight out of for days and you want your money back? And want them to pay to ship it back? They paid to ship it to you. If they pay to ship it back and give you your money back then they just lost shipping fees, and still don't have the sale. That means they lose money. Do you not understand simple math? They won't be in business long if they did that then everyone loses. People pay thousands for old dirty cymbals with logos long gone. It's not about the looks

I took a day and made the hour and a half drive to check it out.As soon as I walked in I was greeted warmly by Bill who took me on a tour of the store.They had very attractive displays of their drum sets from cute little kids sets up to the massive sets that would cost a second mortgage.I always check out the drum sticks when I go in a music store.They had every name brand and size stick to fit any type of music.Bill went to the back and found the perfect sticks for me.I also bought a cool black t-shirt with Memphis Drum Shop on front.I will definitely go back because a business where everyone is friendly will always be a success!

I am a percussion hobbyist and have several "suppliers". Memphis Drum shop is certainly one of them. Their MyCymbal site is excellent. You can always save a few dollars elsewhere but you never get the buyers remorse when the cymbal shows up and the sound is not what you wanted. I have not bought a cymbal elsewhere since discovering this site more than a year ago.

I special ordered a DW collectors edition floor Tom from a music store in Jackson Ms( where I purchased my original five piece kit ) and after 10 months of waiting ended up with the completely wrong drum. Wrong hardware, wrong color. Memphis drum shop had my special order DW Floor Tom in the mail to me in three weeks From when I ordered it. It took three weeks for the Ms music store to get my $500 deposit they sat on for 10 months back to me. Outstanding customer service from Memphis drum shop as usual and also shows the pull they have with DW if you need to get something taken care of. I gig every week and have waited on that floor Tom all this time when I could’ve had it in a matter of weeks. Thanks for taking care of my problem Memphis drum shop. Was initially bummed about paying shipping for cymbal returns, but Clint was very helpful in the order process when I finally selected the one ride cymbal I was looking for. Could not be happier. They offer Affirm financing as well, which is the best way to buy ever. If you are considering an almost ‘do-it-all’ ride cymbal, consider the Bosphorus 24” Antique ride cymbal. Amazing ! I never thought I would buy a high end drum kit online without trying it out in person. My beloved local shop just didn't carry what I was looking for however, so I searched for a specialty shop and found these good folks. I hit tons of videos that Memphis Drum Shop produces and, once I narrowed down my selection, called them for a consult. Jamison could not have been more pleasant, patient, professional, knowledgeable and helpful. After a little more research I ordered my mahogany George H. Way kit and received it two days later. Something else I should mention is that I fully expected and would have been ok receiving a kit already set up in their showroom. I was very pleasantly surprised however when I open up the boxes to find a truly factory fresh kit. So in summary I would highly recommend these folks and will be doing more business with them for sure. Thanks guys, I had a great shopping experience and absolutely love my my new kit!

These guys are just amazing. I live in a city where there aren’t any music stores within a hundred miles that carry jazz cymbals. From the jump I knew MDS and mycymbal were the way to go. I was able to pick and choose exactly what I wanted. Before I decided on which cymbals I wanted, I called the shop. Tommy and the rest of the crew were so helpful and knowledgeable on each and every cymbal they carry. I was referred to Memphis Drum Shop by some drummer friends of mine here in Aust, I was after a specific high end snare drum which is not available for sale over here. My path the Memphis Drum Shop went something like this. I was listening to a Jazz combo at Eddy V’s in Tampa the other night and loved the set of Istanbul cymbals the drummer played. In chatting with the artist, he told me about the Memphis Drum Shop was where he purchased them online & gave you rave reviews for customer service. So, I went to your website and was quite impressed. It was so easy to navigate and the ability to see & hear the cymbals was nothing short of amazing. I listened to the Istanbul, Paiste, Sabian, etc but I’m a loyal Zildjian guy, so that’s where I spent the time searching. I did my due diligence then made a call to your shop where I spoke to Jameson. He has been friendly and professional & quite to my surprise told me about the Take Five re-issue, a cymbal all Jazz musicians recognize. I have a newly purchased set of Gretch Brooklyn’s with Zildjian K dark rides which I have never really liked. They are great in a big room setting but only open up when played loudly, not my style. I also have an Avidis 16” crash & 17 hybrid, which are great cymbals but again not perfectly suited for my style. This was all told to Jamison who told me about your trade in policy, so I got a quote, which I accepted and will be sending them back when I receive the Constantinople 18” crash I bought on Z-Day. My credit will go for the Take Five then I will put these together and make a final selection of one more cymbal to complete the sound I’m looking for. I will miss the Z-Day sale price on my final cymbal but there’s just no other way to do it being in St Petersburg, FL. I might add here that I am now 70, I’ve been playing for many years. I played for 15 years early on then regrettably sold my Ludwig White Marine Pearls & had a long break in a successful career. Then, on a lark bought a set of Catalina Gretch drums & found that I still loved playing. I sold those to a church band and purchased the Brooklyn’s from a drum company in Connecticut. (wish I knew you a year ago when I bought them). BTW, I loved the video of Joe Morello’s story thatJameson told me about ... very enjoyable! I don’t play in a club setting anymore .... now it’s just for my own pleasure, with drums set up in my living room ..... and to my surprise, my girlfriend loves to hear me play too. The important things in your well thought out business plan are these: The fabulous well planned store .... the in store camera gave me confidence. Your website is totally amazing and so easy to navigate. Hearing the cymbals ... PRICELESS !!! Most of all, your associate Jameson has been professional and nice to me ..... that is not something that I always receive as I get older. He is a big asset to you.
