Getting people to call you back and then show up when they say they will are the most difficult elements of any home improvement project we've tried to hire out. I am continually surprised at how difficult it is to give someone your money! This was not the case at all with Patrick at CertoPro. We are long-time customers of CertaPro and until now have been completely satisfied with the work they have done. However, our latest experience was not satisfactory. We had new beadboard installed in our dining room and the room was re-painted. The actual work performed by the carpenter and painters was excellent but scheduling was unsatisfactory. Our complaints are four-fold: 1. We wanted to use a specific painter that we've used in the past and waited a month for his availability. However, the day before the painter was to arrive we received a call from CertaPro saying that he was still working on another job and would not begin our job until after lunch the next day, which was a Friday. By doing so, the work could not be completed until Saturday. If this wasn't acceptable to us we would then have to completely reschedule the work for a later date. We were being penalized for CertaPro's poor scheduling and planning. It is not incumbent upon us to solve CertaPro's scheduling issues. As long-time customers we expect to be treated better than that. 2. The two painters arrived at 3:00 p.m. One began work immediately but the other had to return to his previous job site to receive payment from the homeowner. That job site was nearly 1 hour away from our home. He did not return until 6:00 p.m. 3. An additional reason for his delay was that he needed to get the paint from Sherwin Williams. Our paint specifications have been on file at CertPro for several years. The office failed to include the paint color identification number in the painter's job packet. He should already have had the paint with him when he arrived at our home. This is not the first time this has occurred. 4. We called the sales rep with whom we have worked well in the past. He was completely unaware of the scheduling problem. By then it was too late for him to do anything. As customers, we want only one point of contact. Apparently, there was no communication among the staff. Also, no one from the quality assurance department came to inspect the work as has been done on all previous jobs. Perhaps management thinks that only the painters have to work on the weekend.

After a leak in the family room ceiling led to a hole in the sheetrock to expose the plumbing for repair, we called Certapro. CertaPro quickly scheduled Dustin Verba who took care to repair the sheetrock and paint the ceiling. Dustin was very professional and efficient! The ceiling looked amazing! Tony (Residential Manager) and his team did an excellent job following up after the initial job making sure that everything was completed to a high standard. They made a return trip to repaint some siding that we had replaced due to water damage and helped us identify some additional water issues that needed to be addressed. Absolute worst contractor that I have ever dealt with. Started with painters NOT using drop cloths. Paint was dropped and left to dry on my hardwood floors. I had to remove it myself with razor blade. Then aluminum ladders were laid on our nearly new hardwood floors without any protection. Paint on woodwork was so thin, you could see thru it. Door jambs were only painted in areas that are visable when the door is closed. One Painter was so uncooperative, I told him to leave my house. An entire day was spent correcting problems.& obvious shortcomings. I thought I was hiring a good contractor. I was wrong! After posting my review, certapro decided to perform remedial painting. A different paint crew spent a day repainting. After they were done, we spent over an hour with Certapro employees identifying areas that needed additional attention.

The whole process with Certa Pro was easy and flawless! Patrick completed our estimate and I was surprised to get it before he left. He was very responsive to any questions I had after the estimate. Tom and Darian painted our house. They were FABULOUS!!!! I can't say enough good things about them. I have two kiddos home with me and watch a friend's child during the day. I was worried about how invasive the work would be. Tom and Darian worked around me and did the areas I requested they do first. Their attention to detail was amazing! If you go with Certa Pro, you have to request them!! Even if you have to wait longer, you want them!
