All these folks took time on their day off to host a bunch of families and the kids had the time of their lives riding and "operating" all those construction vehicles! Thanks Mainline!! You're the best!!

This company needs to be taken back out and shot. I live on their 38th Street construction, and I've been patient, I really have. There's the usual stuff to expect with construction, the noise, my whole house shaking all the time, the road blocks. What's unacceptable is how much money they've cost me. First and foremost, they've destroyed probably 300 dollars worth of decorative plants in the island between my two driveways. When this started and I met with the engineering company, nobody told me they'd be cutting into my yards by six feet. My main yard, I gave permission to put a sidewalk through, but my island I expressly asked it not be installed because there's hundreds of dollars of irises and elegant grasses that I busted my butt putting in over the past three years. They've sheared branches off my pine tree right in the same island, too. Might as well put the frigging sidewalk in now, that's all dead. There's been two occasions where they blocked off both of my driveways without notifying me, big gaping holes with no way around. Couldn't even drive through my yard because apparently my big, empty flat yard is where they've decided to store their toolboxes and giant equipment when they're not using it. I can't even name half the stuff they've dropped on my lawn and killed my grass with. I don't remember giving permission to trespass on my property, or to use it for storage. Thank God my cars haven't broken down during the days they've decided to just block my driveway without telling me. I put 200 miles a day on both my cars and absolutely have to have access to my garage. And then there's the damage to my cars. My wife and I both drive for a living and have both ended up with flat tires due to this construction. The first time, some long squiggly piece of wire was just sticking out of my tire - pointed out by one of the construction guys walking up my side drive - a full 15 feet into my property from the street and probably 30 feet into my property from the side. Again, I don't remember giving permission to trespass on my property. He goes "dude you've got a flat tire" and I looked, sure enough it was flat. Threw my hands up and said "probably because of this construction" and he LAUGHS and says "probably," continues through my drive, yard and into the street. I had to take 4 hours of my day to go get my tire fixed, losing out on half my work day. The second time, TWO DAYS LATER, it was my wife's car, a huge screw was jammed into her tire. Didn't realize until it went completely flat, after she'd been working for 3 hours. Completely messed up her tire and her rim, she couldn't work the rest of the day. And then, just yesterday, a rock got jammed in my wife's crank case and destroyed her serpentine belt, put her off work for the rest of the day. Luckily, I was able to fix it myself it it would have been a 200 dollar job to take to the mechanic. TODAY, there was a dump truck just sitting in the road while I'm trying to head out for a work order, and I yell out"hey, I make commission, I don't get paid hourly I need y'all to move" and they told me "he's moving now." Guess what? 5 minutes later, my dispatcher decided I was taking too long and cancelled me. That's 15 dollars out of my pocket right there. I've talked to the foreman, nothing happens. I call the main company and they tell me I've gotta talk to the foreman. It's a huge circle of BS and I'm over it. Gotta deal with these clowns for another 2 years. And you best believe they're getting a fat invoice for damage and if this blocking me in while I'm working continues, I'll probably sue for lost wages. No wonder these guys are the lowest bidders. They clearly don't pay their guys enough to give a ****. For the record, the foreman I've dealt with is straightforward and honest, but when I call a company, I shouldn't be routed to the lowest possible form of management. I've spoken to the foreman before. I can walk outside and get ahold of him.
