My husband and I have been coming to Beaufort, SC for many years to hunt and fish. We liked the area so much we decided to purchase a home there. We were very fortunate to investigate the Pigeon Point neighborhood and happened upon a six home building project that was being handled by Gooding Contractors. We were so impressed by Gooding's plans that we decided to purchase one of the homes. Lance gladly worked with us to make modifications to the design of the home. The result was a gorgeous, high quality house that we have thoroughly enjoyed. I sold real estate for many years and have known a number of builders. I can tell you that Lance Gooding is a man of integrity and totally straight-forward. If we ever build another home in the Beaufort area, I would contact Gooding Contractors to do the job!

Thank you Gooding Contractors! We were in the middle of a renovation project with another contractor and realized that Chip and JoAnna Gains have a corner on the "feel good" market. We were NOT feeling good, and we had to terminate our relationship with the contractor. We were renovating a 1957, 1200 sqft home and our work had come to a stop. The very worst place to be... Enter Gooding contractors. From day one, Lance the the Gooding team provided us with sound advice, excellent recommendations, thoughtful options, and long term considerations. Lance and his team were available to us throughout the renovation, meeting with us early in the morning and late into the evening to ensure that our questions and concerns were answered. Probably one of the most endearing qualities that we experienced was the follow through. If Lance said they were going to do something, they did it. There will always be hiccups, and when the hiccups did occur, the Gooding team was there to help us understand the hiccups and help us move forward. Amber was wonderful with the interior and exterior design questions and recommendations. What a tremendous asset she was during our renovation project to help guide us with our myriad of questions and concerns. She helped ease us into the completion of our home. In late 2006, we bought a two-story bespoke retiree home in the Habersham neighborhood. We realized that it would take several upgrades to make this home fit our long-term vision. Yet who could we trust that would have the requisite quality, experience, and knowledge of remodeling in the Low Country? We checked around with our neighbors, and they pointed us to Gooding Contractors. During the first upgrade in 2008, Gooding guided us expeditiously through the designs, permitting, and inspections as we added gas heating and lighting, converted a walk-in attic into a bonus room with closet space, enclosed our back yard with a living fence and wrought-iron gates, and added additional second story windows. Any time we had a question, the Gooding team quickly responded, always to our satisfaction. Ten years later, we decided on a two-stage plan to reach our final vision. Our home was nearing twenty years of age, and the exterior showed the beginning signs of water damage. We knew we could trust Gooding Contractors to fix our home with long-lasting quality. They thoroughly inspected the exterior and repaired each penetration. Then, we asked Gooding to finish the first stage by upgrading the wooden steps to our front porch with Old Carolina brick, and adding another curved tabby sidewalk from the front gate to the backyard to match the existing on the other side of the house. The workmanship elicits positive comments as people run, bike, or walk their dogs past our house. This year, we completed the vision by adding a carport to our existing garage, and a spacious screen porch with a fireplace and a view that overlooks our new Charleston garden in our back yard. To achieve our long-term goal, we needed not just a plan, but a partner that could make our dream a reality. We heartily recommend Gooding Contractors for remodeling projects, both for the demonstrated skill of their craftsmen, and their proven history of upholding the quality of their work.
