I had a whole house 20 KW installed, They were up front with installation and price. Everything went like clock work and they took the time to make sure we knew how to use it. We liked their work so much, we had them install ceiling fans and outlets in the basement. You can't go wrong! DG

Excellent service. Took some time to finally get them out here but seems par for the course given the demand. Technicians were always prompt, friendly and careful. Jason C. was the assigned project manager and was always available by phone or email. Generator works exactly as promised and gives us such peace of mind. We are moving and will use Ralco again at our new home.

I called in October of 2018 for a site review for a standby generator installation. After waiting 4 weeks someone finally contacted me and we made an appointment. The representative did come and evaluate my situation and said I would have an estimate in 7-10days. It is now June of 2019 and I still have not heard back. I had many other quotes and had my generator installed. Would not call Ralco back to even change a light bulb.

This is an update to my rather long review of Ralco. I would like to say the Ralco's Owner Rene Lachapelle, did keep in contact with us & they compensated us for our time & frustration. He assured us that he is changing policies so that nothing like this ever happens again & hopefully problems get addressed and sent to the proper person in a quicker manner. Part of the problem was that he was unaware of the situation we were having to deal with. He was more than fair in the end and did what a reputable business owner would do...try and make things right. We appreciate his tenacity and willingness to follow this through to the end. We look forward to continuing to do business with them and refer people to them. We had our Generac 11kw generator installed by Ralco, because they were close to our home & have been in business for 30 years. Matt Garcia came out to go over options for generator. We were very happy with options & him. We had gotten 4 quotes & quote they gave us was more than fair. He told us where generator was going to be located. They installed the Generac 16" from the house, under a window, not where it was originally going to be. Generac specs clearly state it has to be 5 ft from window. City electrical inspector came out & failed it immediately. Ralco's explanation for this was that different cities have different codes. Generac has 1 code to follow. Also, since being in business for 30 years, they might realize they need to know the codes of the city, where they are installing generator. I was told that the city inspector was being difficult. No, he was doing his job. Don't put your incompetence on the inspector. They had dug up a flower bed to install in the wrong area, now it had to be moved. Plumbing had already been out to hook up pipes. When Ralco came back out, we were asked where we wanted generator to be put. I immediately called the company, asking them, why we were being asked where we wanted it installed. Don't they have certified installers, that have installed generacs before? I spoke with Matt again, told him how upset we were at the gross negligence in installation & what were they going to do to compensate us for taking another day off from work, Flower bed being torn up? He said he would get back to me with "something to make us happy". He never called us back, a week later. We called to speak with owner, who was away. We left voicemail for him. The owner of the company Rene LaChapelle called on a wednesday night from Mexico. He was concerned and also upset over everything that had happened. When he got back, he would review everything and get back to us. He told us not to worry, he would make it right. Customer service & satisfaction were important to him. He has owned business for over 30 years. That was 7 business days ago. We have not heard anything from the company or more importantly the owner, Rene. I was told by a friend this happened to a neighbor of his. Ralco installed that generator also in wrong spot and it had to be moved. We regret not going with Barro's in Foxboro, MA. They have a great reputation & presentation of generac product. We also had a price quote by the time the gentleman left. We are disgusted with the gross negligence, lack of communication and installation of the generator. We are even more disgusted with the owner of the company. He wasted my time on the phone telling me he would make everything right. He has not even called. Also 1 of the other reviewers, that gave it 5 stars is the one of the managers.

great company very responsive. had a hiccup during installation so i called to speak to Renee, the owner, office said he wasn't in but would call me back. Renee called me back within 60 minutes from a family vacation in Mexico. Listened to me promised me a call back on Monday mid morning, this was a Friday, he called me back Monday at 1030 with his install manager in the office and they had me up and running by 530 that day. The service is personal, they remember your name, they always call you back. I've met a few of the employees between the install and yearly service and they are the same crew, not many new faces. To Renee this is personal he is still able and qualified to install a generator, he came out and supervised the commissioning of my generator.

RALCO shows up when they say they will. The electricians are sharp and genuinely interested in doing 1st class work --- after they leave you wonder why other contractors/service people aren't as professional? Call'em if you want it don't right the 1st time!!!

We built a new home in Westport, MA and the builder finished in December which was not great weather to install a generator but Ralco was there to do the job. Ralco was recommended to us before we built and so when we decided to install the generator we called Ralco simply because Rene was so helpeful when we did inquire. They recommend the Kohler Generator and also the maintenance service and that was the best decision we made. From Rene to the people installing the generator like Fabio to the office person handling the bill, we could not be happier, great service, great product and always there when we need them. Very very happy with this company I recommend them to all my friends and family and have posted the info no Facebook several times.
