Danny was one of 3 bids for a relatively small but complex job. I wanted to replace my old beaten up cement front walkway with a herringbone brick design and new granite steps. This required precise re-grading, curvature of the walkway and new elevation work. Danny had what I thought was the best vision for how the new walkway would be done, and had the expertise to execute it. The project came out and fantastic and greatly enhances the approach for my 1906 American Four Square home with Queen Anne porch. Great attention to detail and concern for my satisfaction every step of the way. Neighbors have complimented the work, and said they were surprised at the care the contractor was taking to get everything just right. DR is not the cheapest, but the best, and very fair. You get what you pay for.

I hired Danny to demo and build a new set of front stairs to my house in Cranston. Danny met with me to lay out the project. He worked with the City to obtain a permit, demo'd my old decaying staircase. The demo revealed sill plate rot and he connected me with a contractor to quickly replace that piece and keep the project moving. He checked in with his crew regularly. The crew were very polite and good workers. Danny was strict about keeping the site clean. The project was wrapped up in a few weeks, working around a few rain delays. Danny communicated by text frequently during the project, always responded to my texts quickly. I live out of state and the project was finished after I had to leave RI. I have not seen the finished product but I've seen pictures and it looks beautiful.

We hired D.R. Stonework to put in a patio around our inground pool. From the get go, Dan (the owner) was very transparent, honest and professional. He worked tirelessly with us to make our dream oasis become a reality. The land needed a lot of grading, the access to the back yard was less than ideal and the weather didn't always cooperate. Through it all Dan and his crew were there every step of the way doing exactly what they had set out to do, in the amount of time they told us the project would be completed. Prompt and Professional! A++ !! I sent an email to the website requesting a quote for filling in a 50 foot long dip in my driveway where water would collect making the driveway difficult to use, especially in winter because of ice. I wanted the deep holes at the end of my driveway fixed so the car didn’t rock side to side upon entering. Dan responded to my request within the hour. He made an appointment to check out the job, showed up on time and was extremely professional. He gave me excellent advice about what material would be best for what I needed that would stay within my budget and sent me an estimate by email the next day. When it came time to do the job, he called to ask if he could come the day prior to go over the job once again. We walked to the end of the driveway, made a few changes and had me sign off on the quote. No added charges were made for changes. He and his crew showed up on time and completed the work in the time he said it would take and the end result was excellent! I highly recommend D.R. Stonework for any of their services. called dan, he returned my call that day and came out on a sunday to look at the job. i was asking him to repair some previous masonry work (NOT HIS WORK). during the repair process it became obvious that there was more work than we first thought. dan was great, we adjusted our contract and he was fantastic about getting back here to get the work done. good experience, plan on having him come back in the winter to put some blue stone in front of fire place.

Danny and his crew took out our old "patio" (really a collection of concrete and some stone slabs, punctuated by plants) and turned it into exactly what we had imagined: a beautiful herringbone-brick patio for our picnic table and barbecue, with a ledge that steps down onto a stone-filled area for our fire pit. Danny was so professional throughout the entire process: he gave us a rough sketch of what we had imagined on the *same day* when we first discussed it with him; he had fabulous ideas but was not pushy with them when we hadn't yet thought about them ourselves; he stressed that the decisions were ours to make; he sent us to look at the materials in person at the location where he would source them, so that we could inspect the colors and textures first-hand; he was clear when extra materials were needed due to unexpected complications with our yard space; he was always available to talk and responded very promptly to our questions; and he even helped us imagine how lighting and landscaping would enhance the patio he designed with us. Moreover, his crew members were superb at their jobs and very professional. We found Danny so easy to talk to, as first-time homeowners, and would 100% hire him again. He really must be the best in the Providence area!

Dan (the owner) has to be one of the most honest and transparent guys in the business. I've had him do two projects, a finished walkway and a crushed stone foundation for a 12x12 shed, both were done to complete satisfaction. He brainstorms ideas easily with you and gives you "value add" professional input on your project. I especially liked how I could easily communicate with anybody that was working onsite, the team is always ready to listen to concerns and answer questions during the installation process.
