Overall, I am fairly happy with the work done. However, several times during the completion of our job, both Victor and one of his employees told either my wife or me, "You don't know concrete" in response to our questions. We never told Victor or his crew how to do the job. We showed him point A, and told him what we wanted point B to look like. We never told him how to get from point A to point B. We did however ask questions about it, and were made to feel stupid for doing so. We know enough about concrete to know if the concrete we busted out was a certain way, it could damn well be that way again. Additionally, there was a malfunction with his equipment that resulted in the destruction of a 102 year old rock wall. He repaired the wall, but told us "You are lucky nothing bad happened." Assuming you mean that we were lucky nobody got hurt...we are thankful about that, but YOU are the one who is lucky nobody got hurt. We were not so lucky in having lost our wall. Finally Victor, we don't know concrete. That is why we hired you. What we do know...what we are experts at, is customer service. If you want some customer service tips, we have a boatload of them for you including, but not limited to: 1). Don't state or imply to your customer that they are stupid. 2). Don't destroy your customers' property, and then tell them they are lucky nothing bad happened. 3). Don't assume your customers know absolutely nothing about concrete, and then blow smoke up their asses when they ask questions. 4). Never, ever, EVER say to a customer you are settling up with whose property you destroyed during the job "Why don't you go ahead and round that up $50 for the inconvenience." We've got a million more for you, if you care to hear them.
