To whom it may concern, I arranged for an appointment on Tuesday 2/16/16 for a quote to paint the exterior of my 34,000 sf commercial building in Vandalia. The appointment was scheduled for Friday morning 2/19/16 (today). I received a phone call @ 8:10 am on Friday morning from a representative apologizing for not seeing it on his calendar and that he was also scheduled to be in Cleveland?? I have been told that those appointments are uploaded immediately to the appropriate representative....so was Cleveland more important than my quote? Was my time worth less than CertaPros representatives time? All valid questions, here's what I do know. I was here waiting on an appointment that was never kept and my time is just as valuable as anyone elses. Disappointed,

Think twice before hiring this company because they sub their work out and don't tell their customers that they are subbing their work out, And their reps are not explaining to their customers everything they need to know about the paint or stain that is going on their house and how it needs to be done to get the job done right!!! And think twice if you're a sub wanting to work for them because you will have problems with their Representatives explaining things to Customers,and That will cause you problems!!!!

I contacted this company for am estimate to paint the exterior of my home. A representative by the name of Lauren came to my home to provide an estimate. Well, the estimate was supposed to be sent to me by the upcoming Monday. She NEVER called or sent anything. I found her behavior to be totally unprofessional. Her demeanor was also very nasty. Definately not a company I would consider.

If you have an older home that needs detail work- find a different painter. Our home is 100 years old. CertaPro came and looked at the house and said they could do what we wanted. We needed the mullions and trim painted around all of our original 100 year old windows, they were also supposed to do a light scraping of chipping wood- not sanding, but running the putty knife over the chips to remove things that easily came off. They came and painted. They painted every window in our house shut. They didn't scrape at all- there were spots I litterally could have brushed away with my hand- that are now permantely painted down, the mullions were terribly done- from inside the paint now extended up to an 1" further into the glass area- and it wasn't even straight. But worst of all they painted the edges of our casement windows and the paint bled into the never painted wood on the inside of the house...my beautiful 100 yr old dark stained wood now has lines of tan paint on it on the inside of my living room. When I complained about the work I had a representative come out and tell me he thought they did a good job considering the age of the house- for the paint that bled through onto my once beautiful wood-he told me it was a hazard of the process and not only was there nothing he could do about it- he thought they again did a good job. I have since spent 20 hours painstakingly trying to remove paint from places it didn't belong. If you have an old house with detail work- Run away!

find a diffrent painter -we have an older home 80+ so it has lead paint the first set of painters would show up at noon( and leave at 4) they would talk on the phone and cussed while working, they did not put plastic down or clean up the work site as stated in the agreement we signed, they also stored latters paint buckets and other stuff in our yard. the quality of work was sub par it took 3 calls to get a hold of a supervisor to explain the problem and get a new crew. the second crew was better but id give it a 6 out of 10 . they didn't clean up the first crews mess of the lead paint chips which is a huge problem- I raise organic vegetables and herbs. when trying to get an itemized bill it to it took 10 phone calls about 8 emails and lots of texting. so the pain looks ok but i still have tons of paint chips in my yard my husband wants our money back and to report them to the epa.

We had CertaPro of Dayton paint the interior of our commercial building for us, which took a couple of weeks. While the actual painting was pretty good, the mess they left everyday was very un-proffessional. They got paint spots on the carpet everywhere and left paint chips everywhere without bothering to clean it up or vacuum up the mess they left everyday. I guess they just felt they'd just let the cleaning crew clean it up, instead of cleaning up their own mess, as I mentioned, very un-professional. I would not recommend them to any one.

Painting crew were very good at communicating progress with me throughout the job, checked in many times to make sure we were happy with each step, and left house very clean each day. I live in an apartment complex these people are painting and they have been back to my apartment at least 8 times now which I find ridiculous. I live in a small bedroom apartment it should take a month and a half to finish my apartment 2 days tops. Not even sure if they are legal citizens none of them speak English well. They kept there trailer parked by my front door even when they worked on other side of complex waking me up every morning banging ladders and making lots of other loud noises really early. Woke up to one of them staring in my window while I was asleep. I have seen several of them drinking liquor while working and smoking weed on there lunch right in front of my door like they didn't care who knew. I wouldn't hire certa pro to paint my dog house. I remodel homes myself so I know and understand the process of painting exterior buildings and this is the most amateur work I have ever seen.

They did the living room with cathedral ceilings, a hallway with ceilings and the stairwell, so quite a bit. Excellent work! Highly recommend them.

And when the job was finished, they did a nice job of cleanup so that when they were gone, you could not tell they had been here (except for the great looking paint job). The painters were very polite, I thought everything went well--what did I know. Upon cleaning my house a couple of days later, I was down on the floor (hardwood floors) and noticed tiny paint specks in various locations on the floor. I flicked them off with a fingernail but there were many of them in various places in our house. There was a drop of paint on our carpet, paint smudges on the stairs. Today I noticed tiny paint flecks on the wood file cabinet. The rep for CertaPro initially offered to have the painters come back to clean but I rejected that. I thought that wouldn't work well... For one thing, you have to be close to the floor to see them so I'd have to mark all the places all over the house. I thought if they were so careless in the first place, they wouldn't clean the floors well. I saw drop clothes on the furniture but clearly not enough of them. I didn't supervise them, I shouldn't need to. We are very unhappy with CertaPro. I called the rep again today but haven't received a call back. I believe the problem is they contract out, you never know who'll you'll get. The cleanup is very time consuming for us.
