The polar vortex and -40 degrees (what???) did a number on our 1962 boiler and pipes. I called around town to a number of places and Todd picked up the job, came over to the house earlier than expected and repaired a burst pipe giving us heat again in less than two hours. He was knowledgeable and made a lot of sense in helping us decide our next step. I'm definitely calling them back.

We needed our 40 year old tiled shower replaced. Called Robert Gibb & Sons and received prompt, courteous, and expert service. Mike Wollenberg came over to see what we wanted done, gave us an estimate and followed up with the progress. We had a great plumber and carpenter that did professional work and were always making sure the project was turning out like we had planned. We now have a new beautiful surround fiberglass shower. Robert Gibb & Sons care about their customers.

I called the 24 Hour Service Phone Number on their website and a technician was at my front door within 90 minutes. Troy quickly diagnosed and corrected the problem with the furnace and was very professional. He also provided me with a few pointers to help me get the longest life and most efficient use of my furnace. I am extremely happy with the Service that Troy provided and will be calling Robert Gibb & Sons in the future for any heating / cooling issues that I have.

I couldn’t have been more happy when technician Hunter came to our home on a very cold night when the furnace went out. He was on call and it was late. Hunter was at our home in an extremely short time frame. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and informative. He had the furnace working in no time and also offered to show. me what the problem was. That was very important to me. Unfortunately, a couple weeks later the fireplace quite working. Technician, Jessie, came this time. He also was extremely prompt in arriving according to the time frame we discussed. Jessie was also extremely professional, knowledgeable and informative. The problem was tricky to fix but Jessie got it up and running. He gave me a wealth of information that was very helpful. I would recommend Robert Gibb & Sons to anyone. I couldn’t have been more pleased with their professionalism, knowledge and how accommodating they were.

At 4:57 pm on 1/30/2019 we noticed it getting cold in the house and our furnace not running so we immediately dialed Robert Gibb & Sons. They answered promptly (as always) and since we are regular customers in their system a service call was easily opened. Our regular tech Vincent noticed the call come in and knowing the on-call after hours tech was very busy (due to many days of subzero temps) he picked up the call (extra mile award here!) and was at our house by 5:30 pm. He had the furnace running within 15 minutes. We are always pleased with Robert Gibb & Son's prompt service, product knowledge, and work site cleanliness.

After the pipes in the house froze, the suggestion of the plumber was to replaced all the copper in the house. Imagine our surprise when the insurance company wouldn't cover the bill and pointed out to us that there was no evidence of split pipes. If you have unlimited resources, these folks will do a great job. If you are looking for a plumber you can trust, keep looking.

I was especially appreciative when he and the office staff were able to adapt to a last minute schedule change. A small part will need to be replaced on my furnace and I look forward to continued great service from Bob and the entire Robert Gibb & Sons team!

Had them out to work on one of my fireplaces which has a light in the back of it. I opened up the fireplace myself and the technician checked the power at the lightbox and found it was not getting power. He determined the light box needed to be replaced. I was happy with the diagnostics performed by the technician. Now for the bill. I was billed $172.50 for labor and the tech troubleshooted my fireplace for maybe 30 minutes and was in my home from maybe another 30 minutes just chatting. Additionally, there was a material cost added to my bill. I asked about this and the person I talked to said it is for materials used on the project. I said there were none. She then said it is also for tools. I said really? You charge your customers for tool use. Then she said it is for truck charges. I'll tell you what it is. It's a scam to get money they shouldn't be getting. If you want to add misc. charges for whatever reason at least be up front about it. My guess is they would have reversed the misc. charges and corrected the billable hours if I would have escalated it. I didn't want to do this so just paid the bill and will select not to use or recommend them in the future. How many people just pay their bill without looking at it?

I recently worked with Job Ebsen on having a garage heater installed. He came over and let me know all my options, along with info on heater size suitable for my garage. He had an estimate to me the same day and was able to schedule the work to be done the following week. They did a great job with the installation, even putting a covering over the gas line on the outside of the house to make it look better. I would definitely call Jon again for future work!
