I hired certapro of Cary to paint the inside/outside trim on my screened porch and paint my storage shed. They arrived pretty much on time and got right to work power washing the areas to be painted. The first thing I noticed was that they powered washed the screens which confused me. They finished up and left to return the next day to paint. They arrived on time to paint. The process went fairly quick. However they missed several areas on the outside of the porch including a new piece of unpainted trim. Also several areas of the screen that were power washed were torn out of the trim and was not noticed until after they left. I contacted certapro and the contact lady Charlotte was very nice and scheduled someone to come and correct the issues. The two Certapro employees came earlier than expected which was great. They painted the missed areas and repaired the screen. Not sure if it was repaired properly but it appears to be. Time will tell. These two employees mentioned that they were tired of cleaning up after the painting crew that did the painting and that it wasn’t the first time they had to. Apparently this crew is a subcontractor. Might explain the problem of it not being done right the first time. Another minor issue was that a supervisor never came to check on the quality of the subcontractors work. If it weren’t for the patience, understanding, quick response and sincere caring of Charlotte I would only give 1 star. Thank you Charlotte.

I can't recommend this specific certa pro. We had them paint a few rooms for us back in 2016 and we're still finding issues from their job. We had them return 3 different times to make corrections and it still isn't correct. The painters were sloppy and we have found multiple areas of our cabinets that we've had to clean. In the one room you can very clearly see they didn't do two coats and only either trimmed in twice or didn't trim the second time as there are clearly two different shades of color. Patch work wasn't detail oriented and they didn't even paint behind the toilets the first time. For the price I'd expect the job to be done correctly the first time and not have to spend 3-4 additional days of my time waiting for corrections to be made. I wouldn't use them again and have turned to other locally owned businesses for painting. 8-9-2019- Response to Owner's Response: It's not that I waited until now to bring it up, we had you guys back 2-3 times to do repairs and fix issues. I'm more than happy to let you come and look at the room and bathroom that had two coats applied and how it looks, I think you'll agree it is not correct. In addition our master bedroom was one coat because it was just to freshen up the same color that was already there and that is not the complaint. The issue I've found just recently ( it is a spare room so I don't spend much time in there) was in a spare bedroom/bathroom where two coats were applied so the excuse is not appropriate to blame me and say that I skimmed on cost when that wasn't the issue at all. It was your sales person who told us we only needed one coat in the master bedroom and your painter who said it certainly wasn't necessary after he was finished, anyhow this master bedroom isn't the area of concern. Feel free to contact me if you want to make the room correct. I can send you pictures of the areas if you want me to just tell me where to send them. This was a room you already came to fix because there were more obvious problems.

Never hire a company to do work for you where there is a salesman sent beforehand to get the sale and then workers show up later to do the work. Never works out well. Several of the workers showed up insanely late, if at all. The job took 3 times longer than promised and the quality of the work was far from great. The company did knock off half the bill to compensate, but this was still a horrible experience. Let the buyer beware!

We had an estimate done for 4 rooms and a hallway around May or June of last year. Because of my job we had to wait to schedule when I would be home. We were approved through CertaPro financing for the work. I tried 4 or 5 times to schedule with their coordinator, first he was on vacation, then he had to get caught up, and then he just never got back with me. The secretary in the office called my wife after we were approved for the financing and that was the last we heard from them. Then, out of the blue, they call us in February to tell us were approved for the financing, which by this time was not even valid anymore! All I read about them is how great they are, (on their site, make sure you read other sites), but they treated us like we were unimportant and they could not be bothered with our business. That is of course until their work was slow, (February is a slow month for painters), then they decided to call us. After doing more research I am glad we didn't hire them!

Their Salesman knows his business and anticipated many opportunities where things need attention. he set up my project dates to work with my schedule and set my expectations of how his crew will get things done. Poncho and Sam did 5 rooms in 1 1/2 days and were clean and professional with their execution of the work. Great guys, great results. they are worth the investment.

CertaPro painters of North Raleigh did both interior and exterior work on my home last year. The interior of the entire downstairs was painted and an upstairs bedroom and bathroom. Outside, the trim was repaired and painted and my back deck and front porch were stained. I was satisfied from the beginning to the end of the project. The sales/project manager did a thorough estimate and helped me pick the best colors. The crew was efficient and professional. At completion, there were 2 follow up phone calls and a visit to review the work by the project manager to ensure satisfaction. Would definitely use them again.

I have small children and the company was very much willing to work with my busy schedule as well as answer and questions I had personally over the phone. The paint crew was personable and easy to talk to, Sheri Storch a co-owner in the company came out before hand and helped me pick out colors. Overall I would give CertaPro a Five out of Five because of how family friendly they were, how prompt and on time, how easy the communication was between my self and the company, and lastly because they helped in the process of picking colors for my house that I LOVE!!

About a year after the job, I noticed a small area (maybe 3'x4') that appeared to have a different sheen to it. The owner responded quickly to my e-mails and showed up with the crew to take care of the issue. This was a paint issue, not a CertaPro issue, but it was handled quickly and professionally. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE GUYS.....We hired this crew (took our entire outdoor living/entertaining area apart and brought inside) to power wash and they showed up 7 hours late, then their equipment died. We rescheduled and they never showed up again, or called until later in the day. We were unable to use our outdoor area for the weekend as planned. We made the mistake of giving them one more chance and rescheduled again and they NEVER showed up. If I could give them zero stars I could have. Do yourself a favor and call someone else.

CertraPro North Raleigh was AMAZING! We purchased an older home which had not been painted in 20 years or more. I arrange for Mike White to quote the project. Mike arrived promptly and was really easy to have a conversation about my concerns...I was basically in tears because of the shape of the house. However, after Edgar Trinadad and team arrived and painted the house, I was much happier. I felt like I could live in the house! With just three hours notice, they started at noon on Friday, painted all the walls and closets in a 3 BR 2½ Bath townhome, finished the clean-up and were out by 4 PM on Saturday. With the prep-work and quality paint, the walls haven't looked so good in 20 years. We'll definitely sue CertaPro again!

I’ve heard several horror stories regarding bad paint jobs lately, which motivated me to write this review. 1 year later, our house still looks freshly painted. Mr Storch and his team talks a good game but that is as far as it goes. They sent the salesman out to look at the house ( a 450,000 home) and I explained the problems I had with other painters and they assured me they were going to send their best crew. They quoted me 10,500 to stain and paint the house. The job and crew they sent to do it was so bad I told Mr Storch I would pay 8500 and when he repaired the damage to my home that they caused and they repainted everything that was done incorrectly I would pay the balance needless to say after he received the 8500 he wanted to go no further. MAKE SURE YOU MEET THE CREW THAT WILL BE PAINTING BEFORE YOU SIGN THE CONTRACT and make sure they can speak English. I will be posting pictures soon of how they left my house and maybe it will save someone else from going through what I am going through to make Mr Storch do what's right. All windows painted shut and some chaulked shut, paint not applied correctly, some windows not painted at all, gutters bent up and damaged, gutters not reinstalled correctly, none of the windows in the house painted completely ( all windows painted while shut so when you open windows the window sash and sides are still original color) portions of house not stained, and the list could go on . It appears to me that they hire who ever can hold a paint brush and a sprayer and call that their best crew. I am a local business man and have been for over 25 years and don't know how you can do business as Mr Storch has and still be in business. I will say that Mr Shomo that did the 5000 dollars worth of carpentry work that Mr Storch said had to be done prior to painting did a great job and I am satisfied with his work. Painting a room and painting a house is two different things so keep that in mind when hiring this company especially if you have a custom home. Just to be clear Mr Shomo is independent of certa pro painters and did a great job as promised. Also beware when you hire this company they will send out subcontractors most likely like they did with me so there is no control over these subs , be sure to ask are they subs or actuall employees on the payroll with taxes being taken out it does make a huge difference in my opinion.
