I set up an appointment on Tuesday for Thursday morning and the technician was supposed to come in 8-12 in the morning. I called them back and asked them for a narrower time so I was told that I was second in appointment line and it will be around 9:00am. I called them at 9:30am on Thursday and the operator told me that they don't know when their tech will be in my house but it should not be too long. I called them at 11:30 and was told to wait until they get a hold of their tech. They later called back and said that their tech is held up and will be able to come in at least an hour or so. Here is why I give them low marks: the operator could be courteous enough to call the tech earlier. I had to take time off from work sitting at home waiting for their people. At least be courteous to monitor your appointments and inform your customers if you know you are not going to make them on time! Interestingly, after talking to the operator (who was very nice by the way), he did not seem to care a bit about my business and did not even offer to schedule another time. Very interesting customer service!

Always came on time and always did the job right. Found a hard to find leak in my refrigerated air. If you have a maintenance contract with them (clean your AC and furnace units once a year), they do NOT charge you time and half for emergency calls on nights and weekends. This is a huge win on a HOT July night when your AC suddenly decides to die. Their technician Raymond is very good.

When I thought we had a carbon monoxide problem from the furnace, they got someone out to us within about 1/2 hour. It turned out to be only a faulty carbon monoxide sensor--and what a relief that was!. He also did a tuneup on the furnace, too.

Oh I’m not impressed at all. The diagnostic fee wasn’t applied to the bill. Who does that? Only these guys. So beware. Also.... the tech did a monitoring bs he didn’t need to and charged me $100 before I could decline. I hate it when people act like if they don’t charge you they could lose their license. Such manipulation. And to have done it before he asked and acted like it was mandatory, is sleezy. So.... a fuse change cost me $200. And then the tech hung out on my tenants lawn talking on his phone (more than 20 mins) until she asked him to leave. Creepy much? I won’t be calling again.

I've been really disappointed by my experience with Desert Suns. We had a new furnace installed about a year ago and it we encountered problems right away and it's been very difficult to get people out to fix it. We waited over a week during the coldest part of the year before they would come out and repair the unit's pilot light/ignition system. Shortly thereafter the thermostat quit working completely and wouldn't turn the unit on at the right temperature and desert suns tried to tell us that the warranty didn't cover that portion of the system. Overall, very dissatisfied.

Call for service the tech showed up the next day and did tests found that the vent damper failed. The cost for his visit was $164 which I thought was fare called his office and told them to get back with a quote to replace. One hour later I received a call from his office and was told the part and labor was over $950 to replace I told the person on the phone that was way too much for the part and it was only a 5-minute job for one person, they said the part had to be special ordered and was hard to get, I said forget it went into the house did a search for the part online and came up with over 20 companies with that part price ranging from $120 on the low end and $164 on the high end. No brainer I ordered the part and installed it myself in under 4 minutes and save over $850. Double check the cost if you do business with them or you will get screwed.

Called Desert Suns out for a Carrier unit that was not cooling very well. They sent out the technician the next morning, and he was very knowledgable, identified three small issues and fixed all of them on the spot. Discussed the pros and cons of fixing each and the potential benefits, and I agreed. All said, the unit is working wonderfully now, very cold! I highly recommend this outfit, very polite from the person answering the phone to the technician who worked at the house.

register in back bedroom is still making loud noise, but of shorter duration. It is now only 1 to 2 seconds, but still loud enough to wake us. We have not noticed noise in daytime, only at night. With my limited knowledge, I think the boiler is working fine, but the circulation pump sounds like it is pushing air into the zone in question. If that is the case, it would appear that air is not bleeding properly..... just a thought,,,

The guy who quoted me wouldn't itemize the list of products so I could actually see what the price was and then botched the calculations at least twice so that the system was going to cost more than originally quoted. When I drew his attention to it, rather than owning up to the mistake and attempting to do the deal he told me we couldn't do business together.

TLC also sold me a better furnace, more efficient air conditioner and longer maintenance and warranties. All staff I have dealt with down to the most entry-lever worker have been extremely professional and personable. Had an entire system installed to replace swamp cooler and gas heater about 3 yrs ago. Occasionally had problems with the thermostat. They replaced it several times at no charge. Always liked their repair people. Finally last month, the thermostat stopped working altogether. I asked for their top dog repairman and they sent out the boss of the service dept. He and his men found a shorted-out wire and spent nearly a day replacing it and the entire thermostat system. Now it works perfect. They charged me nothing. The owners and managers are respectable and fair people. It makes me feel good to deal with an honest company.

Our family has used Desert Suns for about ten years. They have installed numerous things and serviced them for us with superior service. For example, we bought a high efficiency furnace from them when ours broke down just before Christmas. The furnace has a water discharge which is lead to the roof. That December was extremely cold for almost a week and the discharge pipe froze several times. They were very responsive, came and cleared the pipe and tried a couple of different methods to get it operating correctly since the furnace did not work without it. It operated a few days and then on New Years day it froze again. We called, expecting that we might have a cold night because of the holiday. We left a message and two hours later a repairman appeared at the door, fixed the problem and charged us nothing. We have used no other company since that occasion and have recommended them to anyone in need of their services. They are ethical,friendly and above all competent. Their recommendations for other items have been spot on and saved us money. I think that is as good a review as I can give them.

Great experience from my initial call on 4:50 pm on Friday! The receptionist who answered the phone was very professional. Took his time to do initial intake. Assigned technician right away. Technician called me 30 minutes prior to his arrival (as I requested) so I didn't have to sit around all day in in my house. He was knowledgeable, very professional and fast. We requested an estimate for the replacement of our furnace on 11/26/2018. Shawn Kukowski arrived and inspected the existing furnace and proceded to take measurements and made notes of all the area surrounding the furnace. He made a proposal of three furnaces and explained in detail what would be done in a very expert way. I am impressed with his expertise and willing to offer many additional perks such as 10 year parts and labor, and one year maintenance. We, however decided to replace the circuit board since the furnace is only 10 years old. The circuit board was replaced today, 11/26/2018. Richard

I've lost all confidence in this company. They botched a simple swamp cooler pad replacement for a business that requires an AC. They forgot to turn on the water? How did they test it? It took 2 business days for them to return to turn on the water. Our temperature in our building hit 102 causing us to cancel customer visits. Employees were getting sick from heat. I had to walk in 4 times to get them to return. When they finally returned to turn on the water the A/C's no longer operate correctly. They ran so hot the first day without water i think it blew a relay or some electrical feed. Now they only run 1 hour on and off. The A/C's are a manual switch and our building runs from 85 to 105 every day. We never had issues last year or this year until they replaced our cooling pads. Knowing I do my home swamp cooler and what goes into it, you have to be completely incompetent to damage the system. Since they wont fix the problem I've decided to leave a negative review.

These guys were very professional when speaking with me, but I could hear all of their crude comments to each other through the ductwork as they did my install. Not so good when I have small children at home listening too! They also smoked cigarettes on the roof and then threw the butts in my yard. The product they installed works great and they did a nice job on the install. Their customer service was fantastic when I called them later about an issue. I recommend, but beware what you might overhear!

I must use Desert Suns to start up and shut down my special Breezeair unit, as opposed to my own plumber. The technicians are competent and nice, and scheduling the service is easy. Living in Santa Fe, I must pay a trip charge for them to travel from Albuquerque, which I understand, but the technicians apparently do not carry the array of parts on their van that might be needed for repairs incidental to the service. What that means is, if something RELATED to the process fails, such as the valve to turn on or off the water supply to the unit, you will be on the hook for an additional trip charge for them to go get what they need, a few miles away.

I was referred to Desert Suns Heating & Cooling Inc. by way of a distributor for York equiptment. They said Desert Suns was trained in installation for York. I called the general manager and described the condition at the shut down stage (closing) was excessively LOUD definitely not normal. I own another York unit that is 8 years old and it doesn't make that sound at all. He diagnosed the situation by phone and told me it sounds like its on its way out but to confirm we should make an appt. I did so and the technician didn't put any equiptment to the unit and could not duplicate the load noise by pulling the power clip in and out. He said probably only happens when it is running excessivly hot. The weather during the hot summer months was in full force. Desert Sun would call the manufacturer and find out what the warrantee covers being it was still under warrantee. They did call back, York doesn't warrantee the equipment until it totally breaks down. Now why didn't Desert Sun already know that information which they must know to be totally in the know of the equiptment they specialize in. That will be $75.00 please for that phone call to their general manager.

The only thing I can really say is that they were on time. Our AC wasnt working so I called and schedule an appt and the repairman looked at it for about 2 minutes and told us that it was the capacitor so without questioning anything (very dumb of us) we had him replace it for $515. for a couple of hours it work semi-well but by the next day it was as if nothing had been fixed. I called back and asked to have someone look at it again and they told me it be another $70 diagnostic fee (on top of whatever repair they had to do) if it wasn’t the same problem as before. Which obviously it wasn’t going to be. I instead decided to go through a different company. They came out and replaced the motor for $100 (works like new) and they let us know that the part that desert suns replaced cost about $15. I also confirmed this with a friends family member that works in the business. Won’t be using this company again.

So we wanted to switch from a swamp cooler to AC because it kept causing roof leaks and didn't work at all in the summer. One place told us $22,000 so we almost gave up. Decided to try these guys just in case and they quoted us far less than half that price. Installed the unit, works amazingly well, installers were the nicest people, and they left the house cleaner than they found it.
