A+! I got three estimates when our house measured 4.5 in radon, using the 6-month measuring technique (I totally thought that we would be lower, but later, when I did more research, I read that 1 out of 3 homes have radon levels that are too high...and if you get lung cancer and don't smoke, it's almost certainly because of radon!). I picked Jess and American Radon Mitigation (after finding him and two other companies through a Google search) because he uses really high-quality materials, and spends the extra time to make sure that the system looks good, and that the system does a really good job (which often means sealing cracks in the basement floor, or placing the hole in a different spot). Jesse is a person who really wants to do a GOOD job (not just make a living), and backs up his work with a warrantee, too. I highly recommend Jesse and American Radon Mitigation. Our average pre-mitigation test was 5.6, and our post-mitigation test was 0.3. Another mitigation company that did a bid had told us we could not realistically expect to get below 2.9 in our complex multi-level home; in contrast, Jesse showed us a long list of his recent clients with post-mitigation tests below 1. The competitor company simply chose the proposed suction points as part of the bid after a quick tour of our basement without doing any diagnostic testing, and they said the whole job would be done in one day; in contrast, Jesse walked us through options with pros and cons. The four days he spent on the job included extensive diagnostic testing and sealing to choose the final suction points, optimize radon reduction, and minimize disruption to living areas. He treated our house like it was his, and he patiently explained options while leaving the decisions up to us. He was a pleasure to work with, and we couldn't be happier with the results. The other company's bid was $600 less than Jesse's, but we decided that the amount was trivial compared to potential health risks and medical costs for our kids. We had more confidence that Jesse would do a thorough, complete job, and we were right. We're very glad we chose his company.

I would highly recommend American Radon Mitigation. I had another company install a radon fan in my new construction home. They just had to activate the system and install the fan. After they installed it, the radon Utube was still not showing that it was working and I got the feeling the other company did not have the experience to know how to get it to work. I wanted to make sure I found someone with experience. I reached out to Jesse at American Radon and he walked me through some steps and gave me suggestions to try before I had even set up an appointment. I was not able to solve it by troubleshooting, so I asked if he could come out and take a look. He was very easy to work with and came out. He took the time to look at the system and after looking over the whole system, he was able to find that the plumbing company had created a trap in the original installation during construction. It was in a difficult hard to reach area, but he took the time and used his contacts to find a solution. The easiest way to get to this was to tear up the carpet and cut a hole in the floorboards, but again Jesse was willing to try this approach in order to make my system work. He spent all day on the project and never complained. He kept me updated on what he found and what he was going to do. He went to any lengths to make sure that the system was corrected and I am grateful. He corrected a few other things that the original plumber had done incorrectly and made sure that everything was now correct and safe. I would highly recommend American Radon to anyone. They take the time to make sure things are done right and they have many contacts to reach out to if things are found during the radon fan installation process.

Simply put, I'd recommend Jesse Green and American Radon Mitigation to fix any home radon problem. Jesse quickly neutralized a very concerning air quality situation in my family's home. We had a long term digital radon meter that was averaging close to 4.0 and was showing signs that it could go even higher very quickly. After the work done by American Radon Mitigation, the official radon test and our digital meter both show a 0.6 reading or lower. I was amazed by these impressive results. Jesse was upfront about not being the least expensive mitigation company in the area, but he quickly convinced me that he's among the best. This is not an area you want to cut corners on. However, the end cost in my case was actually at the low end Jesse quoted to me before he started work on my house. Jesse recommends sealing the edges of your basement slab and the homeowner can save a lot of cash by taking that on themselves. Jesse combines a wide range of impressive skills, from very detailed problem analysis (he's scientifically-minded), highly-accurate testing at all stages of a project and the absolute highest quality craftsmanship in how he installs a radon mitigation system. He says he installs systems like they're for his own home and it really shows. Jesse was also very thorough in cleaning up at the end of the project. Again, I'd recommend Jesse and American Radon Mitigation to anyone who's looking to make their home safer!

Easy to work with, and awesome results. On about a day’s notice, Jesse met up with us at a house we were contemplating buying, but we wanted a radon mitigation quote. We thought cracks in the basement flooring might make radon mitigation too expensive for us to go through with the purchase. Jesse quickly assessed the situation, gave us an extremely fair quote, and consistently followed up to see where we were on purchasing the property. When it was finally ours, he met me on my schedule and worked a long day to get everything installed, and left the space cleaner than he found it. And the results literally could not be better. His system took the radon levels from hovering between 2 and 4 pCi/L, to 0.3 pCi/L, which is the lowest level the test can read, and which means the air in our house is cleaner than the air outside. If you’ve got concerns about radon - and you probably should - call American Radon Mitigation.

Debated a lot between Jesse and another company. His system was definitely more than the other guys but in the end he was the only one who wanted to come out and actually look at the house before giving an estimate. He also does diagnostics up front to make sure the suction is getting where it needs to for the system to be effective and to choose the right size pipe and fan needed for the house. Customer service was excellent, had a rattling noise coming from the system after the electrician came to install the outlet for the fan a few days after he had installed the system. I called him pretty late not wanting for anything to get damaged with the system, he answered and was out the next day and checked everything over and haven’t heard anything since. Pre-mitigation was 5.6 and post is around or less than 0.3. He is more than willing to walk you through what he is doing and why and was great to work with.

Jesse was very professional and informative during the entire process. He spent quite bit of time during quoting to instruct me on what I could expect and why he felt it to be important. Pre mitigation levels were at 4.9 pCi/L and post we ended up at a .3 I received other cheaper quotes, but if you want it done right, go with American Radon Mitigation, Jesse always has your families best interests in mind.

Jesse did a fantastic job from start to finish. He is upfront and honest, and has superior workmanship. Even the inspector commented on how well done the system was put in. We appreciated Jesse's honesty, he told us that he definitely won't be the cheapest estimate, but if you want the best system that that will lower the radon levels to the lowest level, that he is the person to go with. We started at a Radon level of 6.4 with the acceptable range needing to be less than 4.0. After installation, our post test for Radon was 0.3 or less (the test can't register below 0.3). This is why Jesse and his company are the best. Working in health care I understand how significantly the negative health impacts can be at the acceptable level of 4.0, however getting the Radon level as low as possible is the key to prevent negative health outcomes and Jesse understands this. I would recommend Jesse and American Radon Mitigation, Inc. to EVERYONE!

We got a quote from Jesse at American Radon Mitigation, as well as another well rated company, and the other quote came out significantly cheaper, even the consultation led us to believe Jesse would give us the most value for our money. We have a 100 year old house, and Jesse was open and clear about the challenges we would have in getting good results during consultation as well as during the installation. He worked with us on ways to keep additional costs manageable given the weaknesses our house had for working with a good system. Five star ratings for the reviews I have seen come as no surprise. Mr. Green provided a prompt, comprehensive inspection, recommendation, and estimate. After sealing slab cracks and neatly boring the suction pit hole in the slab, he used several types/sizes of fans to measure sub-slab suction levels at three small test hole sites to select the correct size of pipe and type of fan to install. The installation workmanship was professional and cleanup, a step often left to home owners, was very thorough despite occurring at the end of a long day. Radon levels, measured with a Corentium Home meter, dropped from the 8-9 range to less than 0.2 pCi/L. For a pleasant as they come project experience I would not hesitate to recommend Jesse for radon mitigation.

Jesse did a great job installing our radon mitigation system with a post mitigation reading of 0.3 pCi/L. He uses diagnostics to chose the size of the fan to get the best result possible when other contractors only try to get the radon levels below the EPA safe level of 4.0 pCi/L. Quality materials were used along with careful planning of the exhaust point of where it won't create any other issues later on. I actually looked up the building code for radon mitigation and he installs it by code which was another determining factor on chosing American Radon Mitigation. We would recommend Jesse based on results, quality of work and by coming in at the quoted price.
