Had a 2 part project that has really turned out EXCELLENT !!! First, was a 4' retaining wall in front of my townhouse. After God loosened up the hill with rain for a couple of weeks, their crew laid down an excellent designed and masterly cut wall !!! Second, is a paver patio under the existing deck. They very patiently waited through a couple design changes to make an excellent 2 toned patio !!! THANK YOU to American Landscape Company for an excellent and professional install !!! I live in a heavily wooded area and my home sits on a lot with defined slope and uneven surfaces throughout. My family and I have had issues with maintaining a presentable environment for friends and family, particularly in the back yard, so unfortunately this space has not been utilized as effectively as it could be for large group gatherings. The workers of American Landscape Company were professional and prompt with assisting me to determine the most suitable approach with addressing this issue, among others. They cut down trees, removed uneven surfaces to promote balanced terrain, and even built a boulder wall to extend the back yard and clearly identify lot boundaries. After the heavy lifting was finished, the yard was professionally graded to help prevent water issues we've experienced in the past. We have a back yard in which we're now proud to entertain friends and family; all thanks to Greg and his crew at American Landscape Company and the consistent, honest effort in their work. Greg was so great to work with! In less than 24 hours of submitting my online request for additional info, Mary called & I scheduled an appt. for Greg to come out & see the job we had. Within a week's time our entire drainage project was completed (trench dug & pipe with catch basin installed & then covered with rock, soil, & grass seed) and within a matter of weeks, our leveled yard now has new grass growing in and should be fully covered before the leaves begin to fall! I am so glad that I found American Landscape Co to help us with our drainage challenge, thanks to Greg, we will now be able to enjoy our outdoor patio area to the fullest. Wanting to write & say how grateful we are for the work done in our backyard. We were having a tremendous water/drainage problem, due to all the heavy rain & a change in our water table. This was causing damage to our gardens, and more importantly, our in-ground swimming pool. American Landscaping came in and placed drain tiles, as well as a trench through the entire back yard, giving the ground water a place to go, other than our yard. In 2 (very hot) days, the workers diligently labored (by hand) and completed the project. While they had to remove sod and rocks for the project, they beautifully replaced both sod and rocks in their rightful spot. As of this time, we have had no water ‘pooling’ in our gardens, yard, or pool. We are grateful for the work done, and the workmanship shown to our backyard. We would gladly hire them again in the future if the need arises.

My neighbor’s yard is higher than our yard. The water runs into our yard. American Landscape Company trenched along the side of our yard and installed a drainpipe with three cache bases. They diverted the water to the front yard. This helped move 80 percent of the water away from our house. Now we don’t have any water coming into our basement anymore. They even used access dirt from the trench to build upgrade around the house. We no longer have any water issues. Thank you Greg and crew for a super job!

Without hesitation, I recommend American Landscape for any landscaping job. Don't look any further. We needed grading and edging for our house. Greg was extremely friendly, honest, accommodating, and responsive. After his crew finished the job, I asked Greg by phone if he could shift the edging closer to the siding in an alley so that I could use my 42-inch riding mower through it. He responded immediately in a pleasant voice even after regular work hours (in the evening) and agreed to accommodate to my needs. He and his crew showed up on the promised day and moved the siding as requested. They did a great job! Everyone was highly professional and helpful. The whole process was a pleasant experience.

The work that I have had done by American Landscape Company, which I have used 3 times, is wonderful. I have had a retaining wall on the east side of my house put in; weed killing and vegetation pruning; and a very large, (double row) retaining wall in my backyard. It is beautiful. American Landscape had to take out rotting, (30-year- old railroad ties, which was not easy). I enjoy my beautiful (two level) bolder retaining wall in the a.m. and have my coffee on the screened-in porch. I would recommend American Landscape to anyone who is looking to upgrade and beautify your yard. The cost is also a great deal. All of the work that Greg Klesk and his company, American Landscape Co., has done, deserves high praises from me and I will use him whenever I need something done. I had large overgrown shrubs in my backyard and my yard was a mess. I had a lot of overgrown weeds and under my deck was just dirt which looked terrible. I wanted to beautify my yard but I didn't know what to do with it. I asked for Greg's expertise on what I could do with it. I went with what Greg suggested and was amazed at what an excellent job Greg and his crew did. I never would have thought my yard could look that good. The crew really cleaned up the yard nicely. The crew was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and very hard working. I also had a diseased tree that I decided in the process of this that needed to be removed. Greg and his crew took care of that and went above and beyond and removed all the stumps, put down grass seed. They did whatever I added on. I am very pleased with the excellent job they did! I am a returning customer. This is the fourth time I have used American Landscape Co. I have had them install trees, I had overgrown shrubs in the front landscape that I had removed and had new shrubs planted and had rock put in landscaping. They do excellent work and I would highly recommend American Landscape Co.

I hired American Landscape Co. to fix a drainage issue in my back yard. I made the mistake of going with a different company last year, and after spending thousands of dollars, the water was still not draining away from my house. I got a hold of Greg and he came out the next day, got me a bid and they were out working in the yard two days later. The project was quickly completed and when I returned from a trip, my yard was dry and you could hardly tell where they had dug across the yard. I'll call Greg for the next project - lesson learned.

Although the gentleman that owns the company was really nice I did pay quite a bit of money for some bushes and plants and my plants are dying out on me I called to have the issue resolved but no follow up with the owner Also when you call a company and somebody picks up and says hello and not say thank u for calling American landscape or just saying American landscape how can I help you is kinda unprofessional Usually I go with a different landscaper but since American landscape was $1,000 cheaper I decide to use them But I should have just stuck with my guys in the first place I would have paid more but at least the job would have got done correctly

Greg made it easy and even went the extra mile to arrange for someone to make sure the new sod gets watered so it will take. American landscape company has been the answer to rather severe water problems that we endured for too many years! Over 8 years ago at our Minnetonka home, we had bids from three different companies for help. We remember Greg stating that he was the water solution expert and he would solve the issues... and he was the most reasonable, as well. When we were talking with him, some of his workers were already walking around the property figuring out a solution to the problem. They accomplished their work in a very timely, professional manner, cleaning up neatly. We have never had a water problem since! We were hoping for function at that time- and they definitely delivered. This year, we called for them to do maintenance to make sure their solution would continue to hold... and we've taken it to the next step: aesthetics, too! They are very creative, with great ideas, and again completed their job very efficiently, neatly, and in a timely manner. They really transformed our back yard by adding more living space with a precisely placed boulder retaining wall! We are very happy to recommend them to anyone who has a water problem that could be addressed by re-landscaping, and for anyone who wants a new look for their yard! Thank you, Greg!

UPDATE: Greg is clearly not a professional. I won’t stoop to his level of personal attacks. However, that comment was made in the context of living on a budget as a single parent... not how it was insinuated. Shame on you Greg. I guess this really speaks to your character. Just wanted to give a 2 year update on Greg’s work. The river rock was not all river rock. It was mixed with softer rock like sandstone. Therefore a lot of the rock is breaking apart into smaller pieces throughout all my landscaping. The edging is also coming apart in many places. It appears Greg has his take on how things were handled. The reason they had to come back was because Greg was never there to make sure everything we discussed was completed. Seems to me it was more of a communication error on Greg’s part with his workers. It also appears Greg did not bid an accurate cost for the project we discussed. Yes, there were two changes made after discussing a water drainage problem. He knew from the start the main objective for the job was the drainage problem. Obviously, this was too big of a job for Greg. ORIGINAL POST: Was very impressed with Greg & his crew in the beginning... Recommended him to many in our neighborhood. However, follow-up with issues I am having is a MAJOR problem. I Called three different times & left messages... still have not heard back from him. Very disappointed in follow through...

I hired Greg and his crew to solve a water drainage issue I had in my yard. I was impressed with Greg from the onset because he was very responsive and I liked his proposed solution better than others I had gotten. But what really impressed me was his crew. All were very polite and very hard working. My project entailed probably 80 feet or more of trenching. They did it ALL by hand. It was truly back breaking work, and they got the whole project done within a couple of days. At the end of the workday, they always left the site clean and organized. When they finished, you'd never have known they were there. All grass was replaced and no mess was left. They actually left the yard and my driveway CLEANER than when they got there. Our backyard was a swamp, and after getting the run-around from other companies, American Landscape Company was our next call. Greg came out right away and said he could get the drain tiling done right away. The initial promised job wound up being doubled in size due to the horrendous clay we have in Plymouth. We wound up going from 1 line and 2 catch basins up to 2 lines with 5 catch basins. Greg talked me through the change and explained why, but he also informed me that it was all included in the initial quote. The work was done expertly and professionally, and now our yard does not look like a swamp anymore. They did an excellent job. Job cleanup was done every day, employees answered my questions courteously, and my yard was left just as they found it (minus standing water). What’s more, they honored their quote even though they had to do more work than what was initially projected. My wife and I really do appreciate this kind of integrity and dedication. I would definitely recommend them.

Water came in our basement window from the snow and heavy rain that we got. The slope needed to be built up. Greg came out and looked at it and sent us an estimate later that day. Explained everything that they would do and was able to book us quickly. They did a good job building up the rock.

I tried to contract American Landscape to do some drainage work at my house. I originally had a consultation set up for Saturday (and had scheduled my day around making sure to be at my house during the scheduled time), and was called 1 hour ahead of the appointment to be told that Greg would not be able to make it on time. I understand that delays happen and wasn't super broken up about it, so I called the offices and had the appointment rescheduled for 3:30 on Sunday. Come Sunday, Greg calls to confirm the appointment. We confirmed that the appointment was made for 3:30, but I had a flexible schedule so I let him know that if later works for him then we could meet at that time, though the 3:30 time would also work if he preferred. He suggested meeting at 4, which was completely agreeable to me. Indeed, at 4 he came by and said hello while I was speaking with my tenants out front. The conversation was to inform them about a worker who would be replacing the locks in their apartment and to nail down some leasing details, so I told Greg I would meet him in the back yard shortly. At 4:05 (according to my phone), I went to the back and Greg was nowhere to be found. I circled the property looking, to no avail. At this point (approximately 4:07) I called his cell, and he very curtly informed me that I "made a mistake by making him wait", and to "not call the company ever again". In Summary: American Landscaping cancelled the initial consultation session for the originally scheduled day, was allotted another 30 minute extension for the rescheduled appointment, and then drove off without a word when I had the audacity to take 5 minutes to complete a conversation with my tenants. This behavior is confusingly unprofessional. [Update: It's curious that the owner's response claims to have adjusted the time to meet my schedule, when I specifically told him that we could push it back if HE wanted to (and that I could busy myself with errands in the meantime). At no point did I require that they be present at any specific time, and I rescheduled twice based on their preferences. Also there was no mention of any parking problems before they stormed off in a huff, but I guess not being clairvoyant is really my problem. A lesson was learned for sure, but perhaps not the one Greg imagines]

These guys are great, we had water coming into our basement in the front of the house. They pulled out rotting existing timber wall. They discovered water was draining into the basement because of gopher holes. They filled the holes and re-graveled with heavy soil. They built a small block retaining wall, and put down thick black poly and added 2 ton of river rock. It looks awesome, thank you Greg and your crew from American Landscape Co.

We live in Golden Valley Minnesota. The grade around our house has setteld over the years and water seeps into our basement. Ameicam Landscape Company came to our house and installed two new window wells. They resloped the grade with 10 yards of heavey soil. They then installed 6 mil black poly and 11 tons of river rock. We have not had any water issues since. Thank you Greg and crew. Wayne
