After many quotes and a lot of research I chose to hire J. Korpaczewski & Son Asphalt to redo my driveway and walkway. The crew was wonderful to deal with, professional and extremely knowledgeable. They went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the job. Mr. Korpaczewski even put extra asphalt down at no extra charge to properly finish the edging along the side of the house. I would recommend this company to anyone at any time. Great job!!

I had several companies come out to our house in the winter and early spring to give us an estimate and offer solutions to a flooding problem at our new house's garage. All had dumb answers that made no sense or were costly. John showed up and told me the problem, how he was going to fix it and gave us a very reasonable quote as well. He and his team show to drop the first layer and five weeks later they completed the drive way. It looks great. And no more flooding. ZERO. It has been tested by mother nature a few times. John's team is efficient and professional. They are all business and get the job done. Thanks John. I think we should have had you do the walk ways. Maybe next time. J Korpaczewski & Son Asphalt is highly recommended.

I had the same experience as the other review. He is fine on the sale but does not follow thru. His men made a mistake of my driveway. The admitted to my next door neighbor (who was going to hire them) that it was the end of the day and they may have not stirred the mix. John refuses to return to even give me the benefit of the doubt and look at the job. 6/15/2014 he was verbally abusive on the phone. His men had made an appointment with my neighbor for the 15th and did not show up or notify her for the 2nd time.She cancelled the job. It is now a month since they left and I have never been contacted. I am putting details on Angie's List. It said in his ad in the Scarborough Leader 100% satisfaction guaranteed. Don't believe it. I am out $475 on a 9 year old driveway. I do not want him to return because of his temper.

Mainley Paving is an excellent company, with a talented, courteous, and caring crew who came out to our dirt driveway and in 5 amazing hours transformed it into the hit of the community...everyone who has driven past our new driveway has complimented us on the job that John Korpaczewski and his team did...it looks beautiful and he fulfilled and even went beyond our expectations... we were probably not the easiest clients, as i am an architect and my wife is a graphic designer...John came out to visit with us on more than one occasion, and even on a Sunday to discuss the design visiting here more times than we expected...he taught us how to make the driveway truly excellent and we were satisfied the design step...the next step was the installation, and it went smoothly and with as little inconvenience to the neighborhood as possible...we love the new driveway and recommend John and his company without reservation...bravo!

John and his crew paved our gravel driveway 8 years ago and did a great job at a fair price. When we decided we needed to seal our driveway (for the first time) this summer, he was our first choice for the job. Once again, he did a great job. Our driveway looks like new! My husband and I were particularly impressed by how carefully the crew protected the multiple areas of slate and concrete adjacent to our driveway from the sealant.

First off my name is Derrick McCarthy, make sure they know who’s leaving this review. These guys are straight up Gypsie Scumbags from the owner right on down. They worked on a property next to mine and were the worst crew from John the owner right on down. The guy has no class and obviously has no problems showing it. Parked his equipment on my property and scared my family’s horses to the point one about knocked the other down. When I asked simply is there a reason it can’t be parked al little ways down the street he simply replied, too bad the F’in bad truck stays where it is till I’m done and if I do t like it I can F’off. Just letting you people know the quality of people your working with here. There are other companies in southern Maine who can work circles around these creeps and the cost equals out in the end. Straight garbage company if the owner talks like that to a potential customer!!!

While I was not a paving customer of this company, I was a neighbor of one and I was startled to have 4 truckloads of paving equipment and many workers, show up in front of my home at 6:30 AM on a Saturday morning. The level of noise, from the unloading of vehicles alone was incredibly loud...and they haven't even started the paving process. Most of the neighborhood residents (including myself and one of my children, who is currently home sick) were all sleeping upon their arrival. I went to speak with the owner to see if they were hired by our neighbors to arrive at such an early hour and I was told "no, we're seasonal work and these drives are going to get paved now". I asked why so early and could it be done at a more reasonable hour and he told me "we don't even want to be here. Sorry you're inconvenienced but we are seasonal and these drives are getting paved today. Now!" He also told me if I had any trouble to take it up with the owner, who was him...then he walked away. The noise outside is incredibly loud. I know our household is wide awake now and I suspect others as well. I find both showing up so early on a Saturday, as well as his response, extremely rude. I am a business owner also and know, full well, that we are capable of setting our own schedules. He should have been considerate of the hour he scheduled to show up, the people impacted by their overwhelming and startling presence so early in the morning as well as his rude response. This is no way to represent and run your business.
