This roofing company is a joke !!! First they make an assumption of what color shingles you want and NEVER follow up with you on what you may want on your house, have them delivered and expect to start putting them on without your in put. Then, you tell them what day works best for you and still NO follow up on if they will be at your house or not that day!!! Thirdly, NO price was negotiated until asked for a break down of what YOU were having to pay!! Unacceptable !! ALWAYS an excuse on why they haven’t followed up with you. From I have been busy or I have been having family issues, sorry but work and family needs to be separated! I am SO unhappy with this process !!! I DO NOT recommend them !!

I was given a great chance to help homeowners with a cost effective means of staying dry. So far in a week they have taken a rough tradesmen from the North, and helped me evolve my craft. The support I have, in relation to the open channels of communication from all reaches of the company, has been absolutely miraculous. Never in all my years of "learning", in wide array of skill-sets I've acquired, have I been this confident to deliver a product to the homeowner. At the end of the day you really you are buying your salesmen, not the product. The difference between "price" and "value" really shines with us. This company prides itself on actually getting out there, face to face, and letting you know you have a problem should there be one. Not sitting back and waiting for you to have a costly issue that turns crisis. Preventative maintenance is unequivocally essential to owning a home, right? The real winners in our industry, the ones who thrive on proving an unparalleled product, look the part. This hasn't been 2 Franks in the Bank kinda deal at any point in time thus-far for me as a new employee!

I had to witness my husband being extremely frustrated with this company. After initially them stopping by our home because they claim they saw hail damage to our roof and then him trying to schedule an inspection to no avail he left a negative review. While, just like magic all of a sudden after several attempts to get them to respond and follow up with an inspection Eric calls and is all of a sudden quite helpful. He comes by and is willing to work with our schedule to inspect our roof and tells him that he will fight like heck against the insurance company to get our hail damage claim approved. He also mentions to my husband to please change his negative review. Really? This made him and well as myself feel like the only reason they were all of a sudden willing to work with us is because they saw a negative review and now magically was willing to be more than helpful but where was this helpfulness when my husband had to spent countless time on the phone scheduling for inspections and waiting all day just for them to not show up or even give us a courtesy call that they were not coming? So you may be asking yourself why do they get a one star review then? Simple. Our insurance company told us that this company are just storm chasers and while it is hard to believe insurance companies because let's face it their best interest is for themselves and not their customers, it turned out that it appears these guys are indeed storm chasers. So let's recap quickly. THEY come to us, not the other way around. THEY inspect room and claim there is hail damage from April 11 or so of this year. THEY missed several roof schedule inspections (granted half was because of rain but what about the other non-rain days?). THEY become helpful all of a sudden because my husband leaves negative review. THEY claim they will fight for us to get roof claim approved. My husband then is successful at getting the insurance adjustor and Eric from America Dream Home Improvement to look at the roof together and Eric claims he pointed out damages to the insurance adjustor although insurance adjustor circles no damage from his perspective. My husband gets a phone call from Insurance company claiming that the roof damage is not even close to the amount of what our deductible is and that most of the hail damage is from older storms and not from this year. Hmm, wouldn't Eric, a roofer, realize this damage was older damage and thus not continue to waste our time because he knows a claim most likely will not go through? Well, my husband texts Eric what the insurance company said (Eric wanted him to keep him updated) and that was on Monday, July 8th. Hmm. No response so my husband text Eric again about what are the next steps and if there is anything Eric can do to reverse this decision and that was on Friday, July 12th. It is now July 17th and to date no response at all. Keep in mind, when Eric was "helpful" he would respond within one day and now all of a sudden we haven't received a response from him since Friday, July 5th which was about letting him know what the insurance company decision is. American Dream Home Improvement, what you need to improve is your customer service. The fact that Eric, who is a supervisor by the way, is blatantly ignoring us after THEY failed to convince the insurance company that them being the "experts" saw hail damage from April 11th and then he doesn't follow through with even a simple response of there is nothing else he can do would have been the polite and professional response. Instead we hear nothing but crickets. My husband is irritated with this company and we wish these storm chasers would be more honest brokers instead of wasting our time, our insurance company's time, and now we have a claim put into our file and just hope it doesn't adversely affect our rates next time around. Do we recommend doing business with this company? I think it is clear that is a resounding no and that you can do better and find a better and more honest roofer.

My husband worked for this company and was promised a number of things right off the bat that never once happened. He worked his butt off 12hrs a day and they set him up to fail. They will do anything to make a quick buck. He quit and they still owe him his last paycheck and this was a year ago. His boss read his facebook messages and blatantly hung up on him multiple times. Take your business elsewhere folks. I just wish we would have read more reviews before he was hired on. Waste of time!

They just came out and told me our roof has granular damage. Trying to compare dull 10 year old roof around us to our brand new home. I told him that was not a possibility. He then got defensive and tried to google the “symptoms” of granular damage. I once again denied that and he dropped his cig out of his pocket. Proceeds to pick it up off of my sidewalk and put it in his mouth. Tells me he is the best company around. Told him to get off my property and that one of our best friends owns a roofing company that would tell us if we had any issues. They are going door to door trying to get a dollar out of anyone they can. Not today. Wish I could give -10 stars but one will have to do.

2 of your associates were at my residence today (November 26th) to look at the roof along with my insurance adjuster. Your associates, along with the insurance adjuster negligently left my gate wide open on the side of my house, and did not inform us that you opened it and didn’t close it. This led to our family dog escaping the yard. Your associates also attempted to get my wife to sign a contract without me present, and asked what the hesitations were when she wanted to wait for me. Poor sales tactic. 1. If we don’t find our dog , we will seek legal action against your company. 2. I am a supplier of Owens Corning shingles, and your price is absurd. Even with labor included. 3. The price of your gutter installation is, as well, absurd. This is even higher than big box retailers (HD, Lowe’s, Etc.) 4. We obviously will not be using your company for any of our roofing (or any home improvement) needs, so any and all contact with us should immediately stop. This includes the door-to-door tactic.

I have not had a good experience with American Dream Home Improvement. I have been interacting with them since May 14, 2019. Work was done on July 26, 2019. The whole process has been very messy. And to top it all off they have left a dumpster in my driveway in front of my garage blocking me from getting out and causing me to miss work which means I,m missing money. I have been given the run around for the last 6 hours from different people on the phone. Everyone says it will be moved in a few minutes and nothing is being done. I am sorry to say but this whole process has been very messy and unprofessional. Marva Drane

I worked with Josh Armstrong from American Dream Home Improvements, on getting roof replaced after storm damage. Josh walked me through the process with the insurance claim and worked with the adjuster. With Josh's help this process went smooth and trouble free. Once the Insurance company provided approval the supplies were ordered and delivered. Josh stopped by to confirm the delivery and pick up the insurance check. Josh said the crew would be here is the next couple days depending on weather. The crew showed up as expected and started working due to the size of the job it took 2 days. At the end of the first day the crew made sure the exposed roof was covered with tarps and protected. All in all the experience with Josh Armstrong and American ream Home Improvement was highly professional and satisfying. I will recommend them to my friends and if needed in the future I will use them again.

If I was able to give a zero I would. This company is a total scam unprofessional to the extreme!!! They trashed our yard and delivered the supplies and started the roof with out even having the okay from the insurance when we were not even home. They billed us 15,000 dollars for a faulty roof that leaked and destroyed a room on the inside of our house from all the water pouring in our roof. It took months for us to get a right bill because there policy is they won’t charge anything other than the deductible for there customers and will settle for whatever the insurance company will pay. BULLCRAP they continued to bill us after the insurance company paid them for the remaining 15,000. Insurance even paid them for a new sunroof but guess what they said well we don’t do sunroofs so we asked that payment be taken off our deductible since they received the money for it and couldn’t do it. They came back I don’t know how many times to fix leaks that leaked even more after they left. This company is a total fraud. Customers beware of them. ***DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING when they show up at your house to review your roof it’s secret contract that give them permission to do anything to your roof!!!!**** Update: Still finding nails from our roof being put on all over the place we have gone through so many tires.

Please run from this company! This is my first review I've ever posted for Google but I'm doing this to save other people from being scammed. I was referred to this company by a real estate agent that I'm currently doing business with to sale the other homes that I own and because of the referral I failed to do my research. Like so many others I was told I owe the deductible and nothing more (Josh) and they would work for the amount the insurance company paids. Well, house sales, the company receives their payment, they complete the work, and contacts my insurance company to receive the remaining amount (depreciation), and weeks later like so many others I receive a call today telling me I owe more money because the insurance company didnt pay for certain items. Now, before I was given the amount of $514 the representative kept stressing to me that it's not a lot of money, which made me even more upset then after I refused to pay I was given a second amount of $200. I told him I would call back. He assumes I'm contacting the insurance adjuster but I actually contacted my lawyer. They had the breakdown of how State Farm estimated the amount based on material and labor. They knew exactly what was covered and what wasn't covered before they even ordered the material; instead of contacting me weeks earlier and informing me of any additional cost they decided to complete the work get the remaining money from State Farm and then call me for more money. It's BS...the moment they looked over the plans I should have been informed before any work started on replacing the roof (BTW, they had time we were waiting for the snow to melt and for the temperature to warm up). This company traps people by requesting more money after the work is completed and then threatens to send them to collections, and I have yet to receive an itemized bill for these alleged additional items. Other people would give in but I refuse to do this or else they will continue with these practices...and being in real estate I already have an attorney that I conduct business with on a regular basis so it's not a problem for me to take this matter to court; whatever the outcome I'll be sure to inform my real estate agent to stop referring people to this company and while I'm writing reviews I'll be sure to contact the Better Business Bureau... Please don't get involved with this company, find someone else, anyone else or you will regret it. To be continued...... I returned Joe's phone (5 days ago; 2-21-18) call requesting an itemized bill then he explained to me that they wrote off the remaining balance of $200.00 because it was such a small amount and they wanted to make me happy. During the conversation I stated several times "so we're even I don't owe you anything" his response no you don't owe anything...then he went on to explain the original amount was $869 then it was $514 then it was $200 so they wrote it off...how it decreased so many times I don't know but I was happy to get rid of this company... Then today (2-26-18) I received a voicemail from Shante requesting I contact her directly to discuss the remaining balance on my account...Unbelievable!!! I can't get rid of this company!!! This is the worst company I've ever done business with. To be continued.....

I’ve never personally had this company out to my home however I do live down the street from a house that constantly has between 1 and 5 of the company trucks parked in the drive way and all around the yard. This is the same house that has had a multitude of people moving in and out all the time as well as a month+ span of having cops come to the house every week. The last time the cops were there they had 8 police cars, 2 fire trucks, and an ambulance. I dont know what went on but, they kicked the door in and brought out a man in handcuffs. I’m not saying he worked for this company but, I am saying there were never any issues with this house before these American Dream trucks started staying there. I dont know if these employees of the company own this house or if they rent it or what the situation is. But, it sort of seems like a halfway house for anyone who works there and needs a place to live. We have a nice neighborhood and this house brings it down exponentially. If this were my company I would absolutely not want it represented this way having everyone see my name on these vehicles and have it associated with whatever they seem to be doing. And I absolutely would not want anyone from this company coming to do work on my home.

Read the reviews on Google and Yelp before making a decision to use this company. The picture shows how they work. When the installer misses the counter flashing that wasn't replaced, it's too much trouble to pull the nails and put down a new shingle. It's much easier and faster to put silicon on it. I'll have to have another contractor to come out and replace the gutters that were damaged during the roof installation. My advice? If you see an ADHI truck in the driveway, don't answer the door.

first off- DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! my parents were completely ripped off. eager to make some improvements to our house we are selling, one of their employees scammed my parents. he lost his job, so his manager Chris Wright tried getting my parents to sign another contract— my dad explained how awful the previous contractor had done us, and told Chris “your company doesn’t have a good reputation” and chris said he didn’t care. after my dad finally told him he wasn’t going through with “American Dream Home Improvement” Chris had the audacity to sarcastically end the conversation and say “have a nice rest of your life” before hanging up. very unprofessional.

UPDATE: I spoke with the chief communication officer Nick Roznick just moments after contacting headquarters and writing this review. He apologized on behalf of the company and said we would not be bothered again. He is also contacting the local manager to ensure all rules and regulations and company policies are being followed. He was extremely sincere and I appreciate his quick attention to this matter. I am not a customer but your staff have knocked on my door over 10 times. We told you on 3 occasions we were not interested. Our neighborhood has a sign at the front that states no soliciting and we have 2 no trespassing signs on our property. We feel harassed and will call the police the next time a representative of your company rings our bell.

when Josh Armstrong came to my house and started talking about needing a new roof i was a little nervous, but after the free inspection, he showed me pictures of damage i didnt know was there. Josh was clear on all the paper work and walked me through every step. This guy is a stand up kind of person straight forward honest thanks Josh!

It has been an absolute nightmare dealing with this company. The job they did on my home is sub-par at best and 2 months and 5 broken appointments later it is still not fixed. The salesman, Josh, is in your face until you sign a contract then disappears when there are issues. The sales team, project manager, office manager, and corporate are disconnected at every level and do not communicate well enough to know is gong on with a project at any given time. I’m at my wits end and no relief in sight.
