Horrible. Please stay away from these unprofessionals. I was supposed to have an electrician visit me this morning between 8 - 9 AM. I had called their office about 10 days ago to schedule this time frame. I also received a reminder email from them on previous working day that had a foot note "For 30 minute call ahead appointments, the technician may arrive as late as 7 PM". I did not understand what that meant and called their office to confirm the appointment of 8 -9 AM. I was assured that the appt. was still on and the electrician will call me before arriving. Nobody ever showed up until 9:30 and when I called, I was told the same weird wording of "call ahead appointment" that I never understood in the first place. I was given some non-sensical reasoning of some unplanned personal business that the electrician had encountered. I respect everyones personal matters and have nothing against it, but the office should have informed in some way that he was not going to make it for the appointment. Apparently at the end of the call it turned out that the appointment on their end was never finalized for 8-9 AM slot, it was like "the electrician will stop by your place whenever he has time and will call you 30 mins prior". This was highly unprofessional service from the team that is highly reviewed in all the places. I don't think I want to do any business with them in the future. Good luck for anyone looking to get their work done, in time !

I had no problems with the people or the work they did. What they installed works and am very pleased with the products. The water heater is quieter than my stomach when it is hungry and the noise from the furnace is very tolerable. And I can hardly hear the furnace when the fan is on. I was made very aware of all of the pricing of almost everything they had to offer in what I needed and was not pressured into buying more than I needed or could afford. By the time these items are in need of replacing Google will be the norm of the Internet and others will be out of business.

MVP came to my home yesterday and replaced 20 breakers, cleaned up and made sure everything was hooked up correctly. Scott labeled all the breakers and checked every plug, switch , etc. Then he assembled a detail report on what he found and what he did. Scott Sekino is one of the finest people I've ever met. He is neat in appearance, really knows electricity, very consumer friendly. I can't say enough good things about Scott but he will do you an excellent job! Thank you MVP for sending Scott to take care of my issues.

I should have known not to use this company when I had to call every day for a week to get the quote. When the quote guy was explaining the system to me, he said several steps were highly recommended to ensure the safety of my home. When the workers arrived at my house - they knew nothing of these steps; and ultimately they were not performed. They installed a mini-split system in my basement. These systems evidently are not meant for household interior installations. Their style of installation did not improve the aesthetics. The system does not heat as advertised: I was told one unit could heat up to 800 square foot, 100 square feet seems to be more than the unit can make comfortable. If you use this company make sure everything is in the email as they do not offer a contract - so you have no recourse for them not doing the work you were lead to believe they were going to complete.

Had an emergency call for service on AC unit. Charged $149.00 and nothing was fixed? Given a run around seems like to me with no explanation of what was wrong but gladly wanting to sell me everything and anything. I was going to have them quote for a new AC system. After this sham I'll stop around.

We called asking for a quote to have work done. They called and said they couldn’t make it on Monday. That’s fine things happen but said they’d be here Tuesday and never showed. Tuesday evening we called to reschedule and left a message. No one ever called us back. Incredibly frustrating! UPDATE: it was my husband that called so it would be his name and number in your call log. I did not review the incorrect company. It was definitely MVP Electric that we were trying to get a quote from. We finally got a call yesterday asking if they could come Wednesday. If they do no show I have no plans of ever doing business with this company. Poor customer service.

He also gave me wiring tips for some of the other electrical that I was working on in my remodel. He was very professional and was able to work around my busy schedule. The work turned out looking great. Everything was installed cleanly and there was no mess. The technician even explained to me how to drive my own ground rods so that I could save some money. I will use MVP again anytime I have electrical needs.

He also installed two dimmer switches and a safety outlet in a hall bath. We appreciated the time he took to both complete the audit and explain to us our options. We have used MVP in the past. The company installed a new breaker board for us as well as a new heating and AC system in 2013 and a humidifier in 2015.

We had some electrical issues; outlets not working, etc. We called them and they were able to come out the next day(today as of this writing). They were responsible in tracking down the issue, and as best as I could tell very thorough in tracking down the issue. I have worked with Mike at MVP a couple times now for electrical work and both times he has gone above and beyond to ensure the work was completed to my liking. The most recent project I had assumed going in that holes would need to be created in the ceiling. Mike figured out an easy way to avoid any holes in the hard to repair ceiling. This made the finished project better than I could have anticipated. Mike and the others at MVP have always done a great job at a competitive price. I would recommend MVP for all electrical and HVAC work needed.

Both times they were able to be at my home on the same day of the call, in this last instance Andy their technician was at my house less than one hour after I called the office. Andy worked to diagnose my issue (a shorted thermostat wire) and then offered several different options at a variety of price points on how the issue could be fixed. MVP is literally the best service oriented company I have ever used. I am a thoroughly satisfied customer and could not recommend them more highly.

I went through a home insurance company and their two contractors to deal with a non-functional AC—it took a FULL MONTH to get me an accurate diagnosis and tell me I wasn't covered. I called MVP, and a few hours later, I was sitting in air-conditioned bliss. I couldn't be happier.

let me first say our house has never had ductwork or furnace and ac We were skeptical at first about MVP being able to do this job or any company for that matter, But as time passed we saw first hand how the install crew were doing a first rate job installing the ductwork and rest of system. Chris did a fantastic job masterminding the layout for everything. and Ethan was right there with him all the way. These two are a great pair and work very well together. We both think they should get a pay raise and big fat bonus for this job because they worked their butts off to complete it! They also replaced all my copper propane lines with black iron pipe at my request, replaced all the single wall flu pipe with double wall from water heater and thru the roof, and last but not least, did blow in insulation in the attic to R-38. The two men who came to mount my tv were nice and knowledgeable and mounted the tv to the wall above the fireplace. The price that I was charged was way too expensive - over $400. All the men did was mount the tv and hide the wires with a cable wall cover. They did not go inside the wall or install a new electrical outlet. The person who answered the phone when I called to schedule the appointment had no idea what the cost could possibly be. That is ridiculous. Apparently MVP has standard prices to quote for customers needing electrical projects completed, so the individual who answers the phone should also have some idea of the cost involved. At over $400 for the service, these two men were charging $150 - $200 per hour each for such a simple job. Because of this I will not be recommending your company's service.

We had a great experience when MVP did work for our recent home purchase. We knew there was an extensive amount of electrical work needed when we purchased the home and Mark Vickers gave us the simplest and most cost effective way to fix the issues. We got three other quotes and his was by far the clearest solution. Mark was very through and professional. We will use this company and specifically request Mark for any further work needed.

I own a duplex in Lee's Summit that required updating the electrical system for both units. This required building permits, interaction with the city and KCPL. MVP handled everything and kept me updated as the process moved forward. The actual work took about three days and Jacob did an OUTSTANDING installation while dealing with the almost 100 degree temperatures. In addition, Jacob was amazing in communicating with my tenants and keeping them informed of his progress while minimizing their down time with no electricity. I felt the quality of the work was perfect with no detail overlooked. At the end, he left his work areas in better condition then when he arrived. I will be using MVP for all my future electrical and HVAC needs.

This company literally tried to charge me $1995.00 to replace a leaky valve on our main in the basement. You read that right $2000. They also offered the option of just trying to tighten the valve with a wrench for $650. LOL is this a joke. Needless to say I showed the plumber the front door. BTW. I had another licensed plumber come out and do the job 3 days later for $200. Took him 1.25 hours. They saw I was selling my house and I told them it had to be done for the sell. That's price gouging plain and simple.

The work was impeccable and I probably won't even consider another service provider for our electrical needs in the future.

Greg did a thorough inspection of our home's electrical system. I was very surprised at what he found, considering our home is only four years old. But he showed me exactly what he was talking about on every item. The previous owner's had taken some shortcuts when finishing the basement, leaving safety issues. Even the home inspector that we used prior to purchasing the home did not note the most major issue. Although I could not afford to do everything that he pointed out that needed repair / modification, he helped me determine the most critical things and did the work the same day. I admit, I shamefully neglected my HVAC and condensation by the AC did some rust damage. Dwight was clearly still in training, but was very professional and triple confirmed to make sure no serious damage was done and everything was working. That was a huge relief. He did a good job cleaning things up and getting me ready for the winter. Specifically, they didn't try to rip me off or sell me anything I don't need. They have suggestions for extras that improve the quality, but understand that I'm price concerned and left it at that. I will be using them in the future and would recommend them.

Very competent, courteous technician Chris H. On first visit for us, it was comforting to know he was the last person to service the HVAC for the previous homeowner. He explained a lot, and helped to set tradeoff between heat pump and gas for a dual heat system. The only annoyance is that the company won't make appointments for service calls, but instead rely on the tecnician doing a 30-minute call ahead sometime during the day. Not what we were used to in Phoenix area. Update 05/03/2019 - In the intervening 3 years, we've had many dealings with MVP. Our favorite tech, Chris H., went to another part of the state. While we miss him, his replacements have been outstanding. Because of that we purchased new HVAC equipment, and were very pleased with the installation and the work ethic of tech Ethan. Changing my rating to 5/5. And I've come to appreciate the 30-minute call-ahead service scheduling paradigm. It IS a better way. And I've never worked with a more pleasant administrative person than Rhonda V.A. -- superb Customer Service.

I have used MVP's services several times now (adding outlets in the kitchen, changing outdoor light fixtures, inspecting home wiring, tune-up of the AC/HVAC). They are on-time, responsive, very professional, and they don't cut any corners. They do a great job and I will continue to rely on them. Every team member we've interacted with (in person and over the phone) has been friendly and informative. And while MVP team members will let you know about new products that they are offering, they have never been pushy and they don't pressure you to buy anything. Today, Greg did a wonderful job changing out an outdoor light fixture that was broken. He took his time chiseling carefully on the rock facing of the house to fit the new fixture's larger plate over the old location. He did a thorough job making sure the new fixture was flush (a challenge with the rough rock surface) and that everything worked before he sealed up the fixture, leaving a bottom opening for drainage of water, of course. I couldn't be happier with MVP's services.

We were trying out a yearly HVAC service plan through MVP, and it was smooth sailing until this winter checkup where Antonio suspected a very small crack in our heat exchanger on the furnace. He used multiple empirical measurements, including direct O2 and CO concentration measurement in the furnace exhaust. The situation was not immediately dire, and we had the proper CO alarm systems in place throughout the house, but he strongly recommended replacement within the coming month. It so happens that our AC compressor was also 30+ years old, and water tank near end-of-life and undersized for the house. So, in my mind I was looking at the very logical complete upgrade of the house's "comfort features." Yikes! Antonio took the time that very day to explain their HVAC packages, which are tiered according to overall efficiency. He was exceedingly informed and very patient with my questions. At first glance, the MVP price seemed high, as we had budgeted for such an upgrade to be a bit less. I got a second quote that day from another top-notch HVAC company in the area that I had experience with, as any reasonable homeowner would do. After the heat load calculations were complete, the whole install itself through company #2 was indeed less expensive, with comparable hardware, but the entire package was just incomplete. MVP included things like 10 years labor warranty, new line set for the compressor, a full indoor air quality package (humidifier, UV light), and with the particular high efficiency package I was looking at, 2 years of complimentary service and 10 years labor. A decade of labor warranty is a huge deal, when you think about it. I worked with both companies via email asking questions so I could see what the true apples-to-apples cost would be. When I added in the features MVP was including to company #2's quote, the quotes were extremely close. Without asking, Chip, the owner of MVP, called me on a weekend to go over the options. A couple of days later, Chip sealed the deal. This is a company that actually does want your business and they will work hard to get it. Before install day came, Chip gave us the option of having the matched system thermostat, or a 3rd generation Nest. MVP is a certified Nest Pro installer, which provides them a direct, no BS line to Nest support should any hardware or software issues arise and the thermostat need to be replaced. On install day, Antonio came back out with Ethan for the job. They set aside two days for the work, and let us know up front that they planned on working a 12-hour day to get the furnace and AC set up so we would not be left without heat the first night. Antonio and Ethan worked really well together; everything was like clockwork and they seemed to enjoy themselves while also remaining professional and stopping to answer questions when I checked in periodically. They had the challenge of porting through the brick on the house to install the high efficiency furnace intake and exhaust lines, which they did with extreme care, time, and ease. They set the compressor, lines, and finished most outdoor work when they had daylight, and pieced the furnace together in the evening. At the end of the first day, they also ensured the Nest was set up to work seamlessly with the 2-stage heating and 2-stage cooling units after running new 18-7 thermostat wire. They allowed me to some touch up painting around where the old thermostat was so the Nest would look seamless. On the second day, Antonio and Ethan came back out in the morning and hammered the job home. Humidifier install, UV light setup, water heater and expansion tank installation, and miscellaneous wiring for the AC component. When the job was done, they sent out their quality control person, Austin. Austin took the time to walk over every inch of the install with me without Antonio and Ethan present to make sure the job was done to both my satisfaction and his. The whole experience was very smooth, and it's clear that MVP has full command of their field of practice! Highly recommended!

I added a duct for ventilating the microwave to the scope in the middle and they got it done quickly to keep me on schedule. Chris was fantastic during the two month process as were the apprentices with him. Rhonda in the office was great to work with, coordinating with KCPL to get it all scheduled and getting other last minute issues handled without delay. I wish I remembered the gentleman that ran the gas line for the stove and did the duct, but as with everyone I dealt with he exceeded expectations. I will recommend MVP for any electrical or HVAC work.

I have to take a second and praise this company and Antonio specifically. Our AC was out and I was home alone with my newborn and I had to feed her (she’s exclusively breast fed). The only livable room in the house was the living room because of the overhead fan and the big tower fan we had down there, so that’s where I fed the baby. Antonio walks in from the back porch and doesn’t bat an eye. I ask him if he’s ready for my credit card info and if I need to get it for him. He tells me to take my time and do what I have to do and that he’s in no hurry, but also offers to grab anything for me if I need it. He grabbed my purse me, I ran the card, and he even put my purse back on the coat rack for me. I had the baby in my lap the whole time. I never even had to get up. This might not seem like a big deal to some, but it was a big deal to me. He could have been weird. He could have acted like he walked in on something he shouldn’t have. But instead he was completely professional and treated me like a normal human being doing a completely normal activity. That’s how it should be, but that’s definitely not always how it is. It made my day. I would definitely be comfortable having these guys in my home again if need be

Easy to schedule and the electrician showed up at the scheduled time. The work, replacing a GFI outlet, appears to have been done very well. I was informed there was an $89 fee for a service call, an amount I was ready and willing to pay. I was also informed that the $89 fee would be waved if I had them complete the recommended service. When the electrician told me the cost for replacing a $25 part would be $249, my options were to pay $89 to refuse the service and leave the problem unresolved, or I would have to pay nearly three times that amount for the replacement. I can't use their service again simply because I can't afford the cost of doing business with them.

Installing a light switch that I have on hand, to replace an old one—with no drilling, cutting drywall, etc. required? $257-1,303. It’s safe to assume I will not be patronizing MVP again.

My AC went out yesterday and I called at 3:30 and they were able to get a tech to me at 4:15 well before after hours. The tech was very up front and honest and happy to help me even while he was on his way home. They had coloring books for the children very nice added touch. They diagnosed the AC and found that my capacitor's capacity was low. I now have a 5 year warranty on the capacitor and will use them again to replace it if the capacitor goes out again or replace my whole system. It was truly a great experience.

It has been a year since I upgraded both my Heating system and Air Conditioning. MVP helped me reduce costs by providing an efficient system that worked within the parameters of my house. I have second floor dampers that needed to be harmonized with a new system. MVP did the work to ensure that the job was complete, and both systems were harmonized with the existing duct system. More importantly I have enjoyed Rhonda staying on top of my tune up schedule (even though the system was new), the reminder helps me to keep my system up to date. Additionally I opted for the free electrical inspection and had several key areas identified that we will fix in the future. MVP has been extremely responsive, fair, and provided the service and equipment efficiently. I fully endorse them!

We recently moved in to our new home this past fall and when it came time to fire up the furnace, we were met with a severe vibration that literally could be felt throughout the entire house. MVP had multiple visits and technicians diagnostic and troubleshooting. Since it was under warranty still, they first changed out the blower but this didn’t fix the problem. MVP recommended cutting a hole in the wall or ceiling of one of the rooms in our basement to allow for more return air to come into the unit. We have a multi-stage, 3-zone valve, variable speed, super smart system and were a little disappointed they would recommend us cutting into our walls when the gamut of other potential sources of the vibration to solve the problem hadn’t yet been explored. I called York’s local distributor (CFM Distributers) direct and voiced my concerns. The next morning, CFM sent their top guy along with the owner of MVP, Chip, and one of their top techs to correct the issue. After spending all morning running through checks, they lowered the fan speed to the lower of the 2 factory settings dropping the vibration about 90%. To get the additional 10% taken care of, they would need to add a rubber expansion joint from the unit to the duct. This, we had to pay for as duct work isn’t part of the warranty. I was very frustrated at first, but I will give MVP credit. They stayed until the issue was resolved and my family now is able to run the furnace without feeling like we are in a constant earthquake.
