He was very professional and informative about what could be done and how we should proceed. The price was reasonable as well. Ken did an outstanding job turning our tub and sinks from stained, dingy bathroom fixtures to bright white and looking nearly new again. He saved us the expense and headache of replacing these fixtures. I would highly recommend hiring Ken Wilshire to either refurbish or regulaze your tubs or sinks!

Our 1920's cast iron tub was refinished by a different contractor two years prior. It began flaking like paint. I saw the reviews for this company after doing some research. They were the first contractor to immediately ask "was the tub refinished before?" Once I said "yes," Ken explained what needed to be done to remove the failing coating and properly restore the tub. He and his assistant, Scott, arrived on time, were fun to talk to and professional. I felt comfortable leaving them in the house while I ran errands. The process took about 6 hours. The house was spotless when they were finished. They even calked the tub and asked if I wanted to add a new drain and overflow. The total price given the amount of work they had to do was exactly what he quoted over the phone (which was a lot less than I expected to pay). I am thrilled with the results and we're planning to do another project with them. The bathtub is beautiful! I can't get over that it's the same tub! Highly recommend this company. They treat you like family.

Ken has refinished two tubs for me. The first was a total restore that involved filling chips and reglazing. The end product looks as good as new even a year later. Just this past week, we had Ken back out to refinish our other tub. After cleaning up the porcelain, Ken called me to let me know that the tub didn't need a full reglaze since it cleaned up so we'll. He effectively took a few hundred dollars out of his own pocket because he didn't want to give us services we didn't need. He has been a standup guy and arrived when he said he would, which seems uncommon among contractors. I've recommended him to anyone needed a tub refresh.

I recently bought a house that was renovated, and the sellers used a cheap store brand paint system to make the tub appear to be clean and white. However, by my daughter's second bath... It was peeling. Since I didn't want my daughter bathing in paint chips, I called Ken after reading tons of awesome reviews. They called ahead to verify the date and time, showed up a few minutes early, and were immediately prepared to start the process. By the end of the day, my peeling and paint covered bathtub and tile were fully restored to immaculate original condition! They were able to keep the original porcelain finish, and gave us a clean and safe bathtub for our child. Not only were they fantastic at their job, but they were friendly, kind, and even my daughter and two dogs loved them. I would recommend these guys to anyone who wants quality workmanship. Highly, highly recommend.

Our bathtub showed every bit of its 77 years. Still functional, it had become light gray. I began researching solutions and settled on reglazing. Not surprisingly, a large number of companies offered solutions. I finally chose All American Fine Finishes for two reasons: 1. Their web site went into great detail about the system they use for the refinishing process. That, along with their finished product photos, gave me comfort about the technical aspects of how they actually reglaze. 2. The person doing the work would be the owner, assisted by a long term, experienced helper. I really liked having the guy who stands behind the work actually doing the work. They did everything they promised and delivered an outstanding product for a reasonable cost. They showed up on time; did a professional job of setting up a system with a lot of moving parts; executed; and, finally, cleaned up to an extent that my wife gave unusual praise about how hard they worked to clean up. The end result was a beautifully reglazed, sparkling white bathtub. We cannot recommend All American and Ken, the owner, any higher. We would use them again if we ever had another project.

Wow that is the best way to describe the awesome work these people did with me bathtub. The tub was peeling so bad that you had to use mats in it are your feet would be cut. These guys showed up at time they quoted, looked at the tub and recommended the refurbish instead of the glaze, 200 saving. Then I let them know the drain was going to be replaced and they said they would be it for 60. The main house contractor was going to charge 75 and the worst part the drain could not be removed safety without damaging the tub due to the rust it had. So glad I let these guys handle it. How many people do you know that are honest like that, not many in the contractor business. Tub looks like a brand new tub now and house is clean like no one was even there. Definitely recommend these guys for any of your bath needs. Thank you again guys.

We have a porcelain bathtub in a guest bathroom, which has been an eyesore since we purchased our house years ago. This Company turned a sow's ear into a silk purse. It wasn't easy. It took two men about 8 hours to do the job. It saved us the much greater expense of trying to remove and replace the tub, which is bordered by a tile floor laid in concrete!

My in-laws 40 year old tub is now BETTER THAN NEW! While remodeling their bath, they considered going the “easy” route and having a liner inserted over their old porcelain tub. After a recommendation from a friend, they decided to give the restoration option a try so I called All American Fine Finishes. What an incredible job! In less than six hours, they took a weathered and worn tub and transformed it back into one that was better than the day it was installed. They even added a slip resistant coating to the bottom. Ken and Scott are true craftsmen and the first I will call if I need any porcelain work done in the future.

Ken and Scott cut-out the old drain, replaced it with a new one, and "rebuilt" the drain hole. They also filled in all the chips. This was no small scale job. Our tub was disgusting. I recently called Ken Wilshire to have him refinish my bath tub. Ken and his helper arrived on time and were extremely polite, professional, and knowledgeable. Ken inspected the tub and determined that the best course of action was to essentially detail the tub rather than refinish it. This ended up saving me about $200 and kept the original finish to the tub. I can't say many companies these days would be as honest and straightforward with their customers. Ken spent several hours painstakingly scrubbing, sanding, scraping, and cleaning my 66 year old tub that was in need of some serious TLC. In the end, the tub looks like new. Ken totally started and completed the refinishing of my bathtub in one day. It is beautiful. He was extremely conscience about not allowing fumes and dust in the house. He was very polite and professional. There were no hidden costs. We had discussed no slip options for the bottom of the tub and Ken gave us what we needed with a small fee to cover the materials. I used Ken with All American Fine Finishes to repair a reciprocating saw cut on a new cast iron porcelain tub that a plumber made near the drain. The repair was made quickly and would not be noticeable if I didn't know exactly where to look. I also had them do a cleaning on the tub to clean off grout, thin-set and other construction debris from sloppy contractors. I would definitely recommend them. (I have a plumber and contractor that I would not though.)

I was so pleased and surprised with my experience with Ken. I had called Ken to ask about a refinishing job re: a cast iron tub. I had been looking for a tub on -line and the ones I found were either in Wichita or St. Louis which would have required me getting a truck and some lifting. Ken had some tubs at his business. I went over to see them, finished and unfinished and was so impressed I bought a tub that day. He delivered the tub and it was beautiful. I love it and the quality of the finished tub. It was a very complex process. I don't need anymore cast iron tubs but would recommend this to others in the future.

Ken and his partner were professional, communicated what they were doing and asked for my input as needed. They pointed out a baseboard needed caulk, and did that for me no charge. Also changed my overflow cover back to the original, that the previous plumber changed without asking then didn’t have the bracket. Ken had a bracket, which saved me buying a whole new assembly. The tub is absolutely beautiful. I had waited 26 years to get my 90 year tub refinished. Sooo happy with the results. Highly recommend this company.

I hired Ken to resurface my 90+ year old clawfoot tub that had been poorly refinished in the past. After stripping the old finishes off the tub, it turned out that the underlying porcelain was still in decent shape. Even though it meant a smaller job than I originally contracted him for, he restored the underlying porcelain. I appreciated the fact that he was open and honest, and didn't try to pressure me into the bigger (and more expensive) refinishing job. He did great job and the tub looks wonderful. I highly recommend him and would definitely use him again.

He noticed our drain had a slight leak and he attached a funnel from the spout to the drain for us, so it wouldn't leak on the new coating. We just had both bathrooms fully remodeled but opted to keep the original 1935 floors and tubs. When the contractors were done with the remodel, the floors & tubs in both bathrooms were looking pretty rough... our next-door neighbors gave us an outstanding recommendation to call Ken... so we did! Best decision ever. Re-glazing was the plan. Ken came and took a look and advised to "refurbish" (if you will) the tubs and floors vs. re-glazing. We did and they look OUTSTANDING! They truly turned out beautifully! Ken and his assistant Scott were so kind and respectful. I met them at the house the first day, let them know we have a no-shoes rule (as we just refinished the hardwood floors)... they were very polite and complied with my request.
