I’ll just give you the facts.
Had a humidifier installed on my furnace almost a year ago. Purchased it via Amazon (brand new/5star rating/top of line brand) and didn’t touch anything until it was installed. When the invoice came, I realized that I was charged for PMG to come by and see if they can do the job. They never once mentioned that I would be charged for them coming to my place in Mtn Home…walking distance.
When I called and asked about the extra charge on top of my service bill the women on the phone got upset at my audacity to inquire on this charge, my lack of prior knowledge of the charge, and my request for it to be removed. Customer service was combative to say the least. I hung up with the charge removed but was upset at how I was shamed. Like, how dare I complain about something I paid for.
Less than a year later the humidifier is leaking from an area where it was not designed to release water. Also, I now needed an under-sink filtration system installed so I called PMG 15 July 19 in a very patient mood because I knew how poorly my last conversation went. The lady started off very kind but after putting me on hold her tone changed. She essentially told me that since I didn’t buy it from them, I wouldn’t get a warranty…so I told her that I wasn’t looking for a part warranty, my request was for someone to ensure it was INSTALLED CORRECTLY when they came to installed the filtration system because I don’t think it was. If it wasn’t’ installed correctly then please fix it…no worries. If it’s the part no problem I’ll accept whatever comes.
She was very short, unsympathetic and more defensive than any sort of help. We hung up and I decided I’d find someone else to installed the under-sink filtration system. As a customer I know I’m not always right but you don’t have to be rude when telling me I’m not.
